Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good morning, everyone!

Tuesday! We're nearing the halfway point of the 100s to Days to the Christmas Season! Not much to post about. I have a few chores to complete today. In good news, Kim, Mike and I had our Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets arrive yesterday. The show is on November 22nd. Perfect timing for the Season!

Well, I am off (soon) to search for some jobs and pick up a few things from the grocery store. I hope that everyone has a wonderful day! Try to contain your excitement better than I have - I may have snuck in some Christmas music the other day. Oops!

Gray, damp, and chilly today ... rather matches my mood, as I'm preoccupied with legal matters. And I haven't had my morning tea yet.

We've been busy, busy, busy around here. Nancy's mom had back surgery last week and is still down, and now her dad is very sick with a urinary tract infection. He had to be hospitalized yesterday, and Nancy stayed with him last night. But she said he seems alot better today after some IV antibiotics and fluids. We've all been trying to work our regular jobs while taking turns working at the store to keep it running while Bernie is out. Whew!!

I'll say a prayer for Bernie and his wife. I hope they both recover soon.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!! It is going to be around 80 degrees here today in central Indy. The air conditioner may have to be plugged back in while I'm running the dryer. I never menetioned it on here before but my niece in seattle has been battling juvenile idiopathic arthritis for the last year and an half. She has been on countless medicinies and nothing seems to help her. It has actually spread from just her knees to 12 joints now. She had been taking weekly shots of Methotrexate and Enbrel for the last month but they haven't seemed to help her either. So they did an mri of her knees last week and it showed the inflamation was far worse than anyone had thought. So they have decided to give her infusions of remicaide starting today. We are praying this finally helps her becuase she has been through a lot for a 7 year old. It's espically been hard on her at school. She can't do PE most weeks and she really can't play during recess. Her teachers have been great but the other kids just don't understand why she can't do things. Well I have some work to do so I'm off to get things done. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Dove hunting season closed last Saturday for a few weeks, and it re-opens in a few weeks for a couple weeks, then closes till Thanksgiving weekend. Then it stays open till just after New Years. It's hard to beat a cold December morning at daylight in a peanut field when the birds start flying. I love it!

And my pool turned cloudy! With everything going on, I haven't been paying it much attention. Now I gotta dump a bunch of chlorine in it.

I can almost remember when I could go home after work and watch TV. LOL!

So they have decided to give her infusions of remicaide starting today.

I am so sorry she is going through this. Way too young to suffer from this. If I am not mistaken, I believe my sister in law takes these treatments and they help her to function and out of pain!

I pray she will improve!

Hey all! Quick note. Need prayers for a friend at work. His Mother has cancer that has spread. She wont make it but Ill need some prayers to help her have as little as pain as possible when she passes to see the Lord.

I am having an ok day. I heard back from TD. I have another phone interview with them. Just waiting to hear back the time, I have to work around my work schedule. They have a Crush pop out for Halloween. Dracula is on the front and its called Blood Cherry. Very good. Well back to work I go. Hope everyone is having a good day and I REALLY need the pines tomorrow!!!

You guys always get my prayers and undrtakr I'm sending them onto your friend right now, but I too have found myself in search of comforting words and the attention of God's ear. We had bad news yesterday my friends little boy, age7, found out he has Leukaemia and has to start treatment next week. Its hit us hard as our boys play together and its going to be hard going for the family over the next weeks/months/years. I can't imagine feeling what they are as what I personally feel right now is terrible so it must be magnified for them. He's in hospital at the moment and the kids from his class all took gifts up of magazines etc to cheer him up. He will definitely be in my prayers and thoughts each day as will the family.

I was just looking up info on this, it sure is not nice. My prayers are with her, rough for anyone to go through, but when you are only 7 years old, hard to understand.

I was just looking up info on this, it sure is not nice. My prayers are with her, rough for anyone to go through, but when you are only 7 years old, hard to understand.

It has been rough on her. With all of the vitamins and supplements she has to take because of the methotrexate she was up to 14 pills a day. That will hopefully come down now. She has had so many allergic reactions to different medicines though we are worried about how she will react to the new one.

Today we went to several Shops to buy a window blind for my Stepdaughters Apartment. And in one shop they already started to sell Christmas Decorations.
I was so happy...
But I just bought some Egg Cups. Because we want to move and I already have enough to carry ;-)
