I am also a little sick of so many teams going with dark blue and light blue as their main colors.

Go B's!

Me too. Very cliche. I'm more of a black, silver and purple person myself (LA Kings colours)... But, the black and gold is classic and always a pleasure to see.

And with this post, MerryCarey is poster 19,800. All I can say is, "Wow!" For her efforts, MC wins a notary stamp for all her legal papers!!!! Sheesh! Less than 1,200 posts to reach our goal of 20,000. Any bets on the actual day??? How about the actual poster???

Wow, I actually won one, and got a useful prize to boot!

But do the math, Seawaters ... Less than 200 to go to the magic number of 20,000!

When I was growing up in the South, we mostly called it Co-coler or dope; yes, dope! Sometimes we would call it sody dope!! Yankees called it pop. Now I call it soda or pop or by its brand name! No more dope for me!!!

I read that they called it "dope" because of the bit of cocaine it once contained. D.W. Griffith did a short film in 1912 about a town that became addicted to a cola drink; in his movie, the soda was called Dopo-Koke, I believe.

I just got off of the phone with my sister and she said my niece did great with her first infusion. They gave her an extremely strong dose of steroids before the remicaide to hopefully help reduce the inflammation even faster. Now we just have to wait a couple of days to make sure she doesn't have any allergic reactions to either of them.

Thinking of you, your niece, and your family. Honesty is always the best policy. I had a kiddo two years ago who had cystic fribrosis, which had just been diagnosed (3rd grade), so Mom and I thought it was best to educate the kids. Good luck to your niece!

She is working on a book about it with her therapist that she can read to the class. Her teacher last year was great and went out of her way to accommodate my niece. My sister has heard some bad things about her new teacher for this year but things seem to be working out so far. I'm guessing that it helps that the new teacher has arthritis in her knees too.

But isn't 200 less than 1200??? Haha!!! Where was my brain??? I think it got frozen in the AC!!!

That is great to hear!! Hopfully no allergies arise!

I have two things to fix: rich, rich, rich Portabello Mushroom Lasagna and Xmas' Italian Casserole; you know the one he posted recently in August.

I'll be over for the Italian Casserole. I'm not big on mushrooms.

I'm off to bed. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!

Hey all! Quick note. Need prayers for a friend at work. His Mother has cancer that has spread.

I am having an ok day. I heard back from TD. I have another phone interview with them.

I am so sorry about your friend's mom. I will add her to my prayers xo -Good luck with your interview Undrtakr !! xo

We had bad news yesterday my friends little boy, age7, found out he has Leukaemia and has to start treatment next week.

This is so devastating. Praying xo

It has been rough on her. With all of the vitamins and supplements she has to take because of the methotrexate she was up to 14 pills a day. That will hopefully come down now. She has had so many allergic reactions to different medicines though we are worried about how she will react to the new one.

Methotrexate is one AWFUL drug. I feel so bad that she had to take this. Praying for her and your family, Made xo

bought Palmer an early Christmas present - a cat bed - she loves it! I'm going to take her picture with my phone and try to post it on here tomorrow. I know I am very biased, but she is the cutest kitten!!!

I am so glad Palmer is feeling better !! xo Cant wait to see her picture !!

When I ask my 2 year old granddaughter if she would like to listen to some music she always ask for, Mele Kalikimaka. It is so cute to hear a 2 year old say that. It's a mouthful! She likes to sing right along with it. =)

That is adorable !

Oh..my...goodness..
Who knew squishing your finger with metal could hurt so bad...Also, Never heard back from Walmart. I did call them about a week ago.. I over-think stuff way too much.. and wish they'd keep me informed of what was going on!

Britt, you sound JUST LIKE ME !!! I way over think stuff !! You poor thing - that thumb sounds excruciating !! - Hope you hear from Wal-Mart !! xo

Seawaters, you are just too fun !!!!! xo

Good evening, or perhaps I should say good morning, Christmas family !!

I got done working about two hours ago and was just sitting here trying to catch up on the posts. I havent been on as much as usual lately because I just haven't been feeling really well. Asthma is still raging and on top of that I have been getting flashes of lightheadedness sitting down ! I have mostly been just trying to take it easy when I am not working.

So many of our Christmas family have such bad things going on in their lives. As I am Catholic, I am going to try and say a rosary just for those in our Christmas family who have need xo

You might recall that just a week or so ago I posted about our little Chihuahua, Ivy and her knee. I finally got to talk to the vet today and it seems it is not her knee at all - she TORE her cruciate ligament !! Ouch !! As long as she doesnt walk on it a whole lot and rests, it seems to feel better. I am hesitant for her to have drastic surgery at this point because she is 13. The vet told me that as long as she rests and doesn't seem to get worse, she will probably be okay and that she is probably not in pain (I disagree with this even though I am not a doctor - I am STILL a mom of sorts !).

Wish has been doing okay so far as are my other furkids.

This weekend is the Fall Festival at my favorite local home and garden center - Donzells. They always have a Halloween/Fall type weekend every year and there are usually some Christmas items set up !! I can't wait !

((((HUGS)))) Christmas family xo
