According to my calendar, Friday is the first day of Autumn! :???:

I noticed this yesterday! The 23rd is a late start to Autumn. Oh well, the weather is still beautiful!

Nancy's parents are still under the weather, so we are still trying to step up to the plate and help them. We appreciate the continued prayers and kind thoughts!

Good morning, everyone!

A little sore today, but that's my own fault. That's what I get for going really hard at the gym. What's in store for today? I don't know. I guess that i will get my haircut and apply for more jobs. Not quite a busy day. Tomorrow, however, I have an interview at Natural Resources Canada. It's a government position. At the moment, it does not pay very well, but it's money - and I desperately need money right now.

It's a beautiful day in Ottawa. It is currently overcast and 57F in Ottawa. We're supposed to reach 75F. A comfortably warm end of summer afternoon. Tomorrow, we are expected to have some humidity - perhaps for the final time of year...

As I write this, I just saw the winter Puffs wipes commercial. Being winter set in winter - and during a snowball fight - it has a Christmassy feel. I like it!

Well, I think I should start doing a few things. Have a wonderful morning and day, everyone! I'm sure the 'Pines is buzzing today. It's the final Wednesday of summer!! Enjoy!

Doing my usual Wednesday relaxing before I go to hel...errr...I mean work, I ordered my first tank of heating oil for the fall/winter heating season, my wallet is a lot lighter now, but we need heat and hot water so it is well worth it.

I am watching A Hollywood Christmas, I love it just showing the clips from all the great Christmas movies, I watched it a few weeks ago but I needed something Christmassy today.

Hey everyone.... I woke up this morning with the holidays (halloween, Thanksgiving and of course Christmas) fully on my mind. I guess watching home along with the kids last night may have helped that too.

I have had the holidays on my mind several times through out the year but not as bad as today... :razz:. Could be from seeing all the corn stalks and pumpkins popping up at the farm stands, falls and Christmas decorations and baking supplies that starting to line the shelves at the stores ..... the cool crisp nights .. so cool and crisp that we had to add the comforters to the beds while leaving the windows open.... I love this time of the year....

minta I have to agree with you there.

I am so ready for the season to be here and it is upon us. I am seeing more decorations coming out on store shelves and I want to buy ONE of each thing but that would not be wise. LOL.

I think I am coming down with a nasty lil cold bug. Sneezing my face off and my head feels like it is stuffed with wet cottonballs. ACK!!!!

My DH is ready for us to put up our Christmas deco already and I had to get a lil gruff and tell him NOT until midnight on October 31. He did the puppy eyes look and stalked off like a 3 year old who got told no cookies til after dinner. LOL. If it were up to me I would leave it up year around but I am already the lady of the neighborhood who puts her stuff out EARLY. I already have my halloween stuff up LOL. I just have to get some more lights....

We just bought an inflatable turkey for the front yard that will go up Nov 1st and during the spring I scored a halloween inflatable of 3 pumpkins. Hoping to get them up either this weekend or next.

I get those due to my asthma. Fluid sits in the lungs,...gross blah blah blah.. hehe. Ill be ok. Just got some soup to have while I'm working. Tell Carl I'm sorry lol. I have a phone interview tomorrow at 10am for TD. Its a little overwhelming because its going to be an hour. Ill let you all know how it goes. Back to work! Have a great day all!

Good evening, or perhaps I should say good morning, Christmas family !!

I got done working about two hours ago and was just sitting here trying to catch up on the posts. I havent been on as much as usual lately because I just haven't been feeling really well. Asthma is still raging and on top of that I have been getting flashes of lightheadedness sitting down ! I have mostly been just trying to take it easy when I am not working.
So many of our Christmas family have such bad things going on in their lives. As I am Catholic, I am going to try and say a rosary just for those in our Christmas family who have need xo
You might recall that just a week or so ago I posted about our little Chihuahua, Ivy and her knee. I finally got to talk to the vet today and it seems it is not her knee at all - she TORE her cruciate ligament !! Ouch !! As long as she doesnt walk on it a whole lot and rests, it seems to feel better. I am hesitant for her to have drastic surgery at this point because she is 13. The vet told me that as long as she rests and doesn't seem to get worse, she will probably be okay and that she is probably not in pain (I disagree with this even though I am not a doctor - I am STILL a mom of sorts !).
Wish has been doing okay so far as are my other furkids.
This weekend is the Fall Festival at my favorite local home and garden center - Donzells. They always have a Halloween/Fall type weekend every year and there are usually some Christmas items set up !! I can't wait !
