Christmas Countdown - 2011

Okay.. WELLLLLL
Thank you so much for everyones concern, I appreciate it so much! It definitely is a family here!!Oh I missed you guys!
Here I am .. Alive and Kicking it!
Sorry I haven't been updating much the last couple days, life has been..hectic.

THURSDAY EVENING:
So the night in the hospital was torture! There was an elderly man who would NOT STOP yelling for the nurse.. ArgH, I had about 3 hours total sleep.. and thats being VERY generous. Then my IV bag was empty and kept beeping.. Around 6 my DB( Dear boyfriend) got up to go to work... and shortly after the RN came and changed my IV bag. Then around 7, I had more bloodwork done.. Blah. At 8 the doctor finally came in and talked to me! haha I told him I did have an interview that day.. and if at all possible, please let me out before 12 (..he laughed at the thought that i still wanted to go!). He did in fact come back around 930 and said I was okay to leave the hospital (yay!).

FRIDAY MORNING/ EVENING:
I was terribly tired when I got home, so I rested. All of friday I felt ill, but I did go to the Interview, which ended up not being an interview at all! It was infact a job offering haha.. So I Did get the job at walmart, in jewelry, fashion & Cosmetics. they have TONS of halloween stuff out.. and of course I can let you all know when the christmas stuff arrives!!!laying: The position is part-time, so I am still working at my other job as well until full-time becomes available. Now this night my DB came home SICK! He commutes 2 hours too work and the poor thing had to pull off the highway on his way home.. to.. well you get the rest. I got him sick.. He wasn't quite as bad as me, but the talk of the hospital was in the air again.

SATURDAY:

DB woke up feeling okay... Fell back asleep till 330!!
I started my first day at walmart! Still not feeling 100%, but WAY better than Thursday. I had orientation 8-4, and got my schedule for the next 3 weeks! I loved it

TODAY:

Well Me and DB are ALMOST back to normal. not 100%, but we'll say a nice 90% hahaha... Tomorrow I work at both my jobs.. ah, Im prepared to be exhausted soon hahha...


I have not received any of my test results back from the hospital, but a couple things they thought it could be was : Appendicitis, Basic Stomach Flu, & Blood Infection.

I tried to lift the spirits in the emerge room, told them i had a butt lift in Pakistan..because they kept asking me if I had traveled there, so I tried a little brittyd humour.. they did believe me, until i told them otherwise.. it was quite entertaining hahaha...

well my friends i have missed mmc in my little MIA stint.. hopefully i am gold from here on out! no more hospital visits!

We just got home from my in laws, we received a WHOLE BUNCH of Halloween and Harvest/Thanksgiving decorations, we will have to go back another day for the Christmas decor. We already decorated with the new stuff, it all looks great, my mother in law is glad she will still be able to see all her old stuff when she comes over. The orchard was great, but the boys are in rare form, and once again now I know why some animals eat their young. :wink:

For all of you not feeling well, I hope this finds you better!!!!

I have been running errands and taking care of the fur kids today and am about to start a pot of Italian tomatoes. My friend G gave me two grocery bags with five different varieties of tomatoes in them - it will make the best Italian tomato sauce! The kitchen will smell so spicy!

Wow, Britt..that does sound like quite an ordeal. So glad that you & your DB are feeling better! At least you kept your sense of humor through it all

Hello all! Thanks for the prayers! I just got out of the triage for the second time in 2 weeks yesterday,and I am only eating or drinking clear liquids...I messed up when I got out last time and ate a hamburger which made me sick for 2 days. I have lost 20 pounds in 14 days! so I need to make sure I dont loose any more. I just hope and pray this pancreatitis is not permanant! I am wanting to eat my Christmas foods SO bad! I come home tuesday and I am ready! it has been a long 4 months! take care everyone!

Glad that you're out of triage -sounds like you'll have to be very careful about what you eat for a while - at least until the pancreatitis settles down and the irritation subsides. Hopefully you'll be fine in time for the the holiday season - I think being home will make you feel much better!

Very glad to hear you're feeling better and also very glad to hear that you got the job you've been wanting at Wal-Mart! That's very exciting and we're all really happy for you. Based on the fact that your boyfriend got sick right after you, I think you can rule out just about everything but a cantagious virus.

Packers win! A little close, but I am happy with the 10 point victory over the Bears.

Who said that it was Fall? The weather here in Ottawa is hot, hot, hot! We reached about 78F!! Today, we played Goaltimate (a very fast-paced version of Ultimate Frisbee) for about an hour and a half, then I ran sprints and parachute sprints with a friend/teammate. Good times. Needless to say, I'm pretty exhausted. My legs, especially quads are sore... But, I did it to myself! Looking forward to sleep tonight!

Well, time for some cartoons. Have a great night, everyone!! I should be back sporadically throughout the evening.

Hi everyone! I had a busy day today. I just had a lot to do around the house today - washed lots of clothes and cleaned, then made a vegetable soup in the crockpot. DH (my hubby) worked today, so it was a hectic day at times. I tried to lay EA down for a nap about 5 times - I actually thought the very first time was successful, but each time, she kept getting up. It's hard to sometimes get things done with all of that going on. We're now sitting down to watch the Steelers vs. Colts game. Hoping the Steelers win! Gotta go get ready for work in an hour or so. First night back tonight - at 11...yippee. Talk to everyone tomorrow. Have a great night! :grin:

I agree with you folks who use initials instead of real names on the public areas of MMC. Me too. I've been calling my DH "Mr." I have a few MMC friends who know me by my real name, but in the public forums, I remain MerryCarey.

Been busy today and haven't been able to check in until this evening. Had to update a website that I maintain for a film club that Mr. is head of. They just changed their dues structure, so that required some extra updates that he didn't anticipate. Had some other online errands to take care of, and laundry to do, then made some spaghetti and meatballs for lunch/dinner. After that, settled down to relax and watch some video with Mr. Watched a couple documentary chapters about silent film in Europe---bet nobody else did that today! In between we checked in on the Red Sox, which was rather depressing. They give every sign of having given up for this year. And now here I am. The Sox just blew their lead on the second game of the day *sigh.* And another weekend is almost over, doggone it.

Got a mail-order catalog with household stuff this weekend, and they have some battery-operated LED wreaths that would be great to hang around the house---maybe a nice lighted wreath for the front door ... it'll soon be time!

Almost forgot: Happy Rudolph Day!
