Well my niece's allergic reaction keeps getting worse. She has come home from school the last 2 days because it has been itching so much. The School won't give her any over the counter medicines and the doctors won't give her a prescription because she just had a 500mg dose of steroids. My sister is trying to get her in the allergist before they go down for her next infusion next week. On top of all that my nephew had a boy in his classroom come down with chickenpox so my sister has call the RA doctor to let him know. With all of the different medicines she's on it limits her immune system and she needs to be treated if she comes in any kind of contact with it.

This is the arm she got the IV in and her face is all broke out too.

Sorry to hear this, Made. She's still in my thoughts & prayers! What a tough little cookie.

Harlowe was diagnosed with suppurative inflammation of the liver a few months ago. They never could pinpoint what caused it. She was in & out of the vet hospital for IV treatments & monitoring. She was on antibiotics, steroids, and liver support meds up until last week. Symptoms are showing up again, unfortunately...

It has been a pretty tough day, and coming here & finding all of the kindness & well wishes is really quite comforting. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!(Harlowes, too)

((((Snowflake and Harlowe))))......I know how you feel......Still praying for Harlowe too xo

Thanks, CM3! Appreciated more than you know

Good Morning, friends~

It's going to be another hot one! 101 & Sunny today. Craziness, I say!
I go to the airport tonight to pick up my sister- I'm so excited to have her here!!
Thanks again for all of the thoughts and prayers for Harlowe. I spoke to her vet last night, and she wants me to bring her in this weekend for complete labs. She did say that a bug was going around, and that she's seen quite a few dogs this week with stomach/nausea issues. Hope it's just that. It's been difficult to get her to eat, so she'll on a mild diet for a bit. I'll keep you posted on the results when I get them back next week.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day!!

:pumpkin:

Good Morning my Christmas friends!

Interview went well yesterday. It was close to 2 hours. Sheesh! So I will know by the end of next week if I have the job! Lets hope I do! I posted a few pictures in the Christmas Blossoms thread. Ill be taking some more soon to post! When I brought my Halloween stuff out I had to take the Christmas tree out. I wanted to put it up lol. So did William. He kept pointing at it saying "Crimis Tree Daddy!" hehe. Like Father like Son! Well back to work I go! Remember tomorrow is FRIDAY! Woo!!! Have a great day everyone.

Poor little girl!!!!! The school won't give her OTC meds?? For real!!! Why? Is it her usual prescriptions? Sorry for 100 questions.. Hope she stops reacting soon:(

The school's policy is that they will only allow prescription medicines to be distributed. You can't bring any OTC meds into the school. I can understand that with pills but not something like an anti itch cream.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!!! It's going to be a warm day here and then we plunge down into the 50's. Perfect baking weather. In my grocery store ads this morning Kroger was advertising christmas cards and candles. Just another sign that the season is getting closer. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Dark and rainy today, after the Red Sox's BIG LOSS. In our "film room" we have a big plush penguin and a Wimpy doll that both wear Red Sox hats during the season. Now comes the sad time of taking off their caps and putting them away for next year.

Hugs and good wishes to Kandice---severe headaches are so terrible, but it's a blessing she can sleep. A headache that keeps you awake and unable to do anything else is h---.

On the bright side, applied to a trucking company that my friend works at to try and get a job as a driver of straight truck / van. This is much more to my liking than the big semi truck that wanted me our 24/7.
The smaller trucks will have me home most nights, occasionally I will be over night somewhere. Most trips will take me to Detroit, Chicago and Ottawa areas.

Nervous about it because I so need a good paying job, but also have a lot less experience that what they are wanting.

Will keep you posted.

Best of luck on getting the job, Sept MOM---the shorter trips and smaller trucks might be a good way to build up some experience!

I hope she can find some relief soon. Could you get a doctor's note saying she should use OTC anti-itch cream for relief? Maybe then the school would allow her to use it. Worth a try, at this point.

Hoping that a stomach bug is all that ails Harlowe, and that she's feeling well again soon.

Poor thing! I hope she improves quickly.

Looks like we are going to have great weather this weekend. Highs in the upper 50's and lows in mid 30's. It will really feel like football weather Friday night at the high school football game. High School football is the community event in our county. We only have 1 high school and everyone is there for the games.

Have a great day everyone.

awe shucks, totally missed out on the pines tonight!

I plan to do some baking, too - banana chocolate chip muffins and pumpkin brownies cheesy

Good morning everyone....I would like to ask that you all say a quick prayer for my sister. She lives in Texas like 1000 miles away from me...and she was suppose to have routine surgery this morning but before they could start it she began vomiting blood and she stopped breathing which is confusing to me because I thought everyone was a a respirator during that time..anyways I feel helpless because I don't know how accurate and complete my mom is being with me. SHe is in the ICU unit until they find out what is wrong with her...TIA Christmas family...

Good luck on the position. A two hour interview is definitely a good sign! I would have wanted to put up the Tree, too. In fact, I was just asking Kim if we could put up some of our Christmas lights. She won't be having of it. I think I'll have to wait until after Halloween.

All the best, Dawg!

Watching QVC right now. Thanks for the info, made!!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

The rouladen at mom's last night was just as wonderful as I wanted it to be! I ate so much, it was painful...but it was worth it! There were ten of us eating, and so much was leftover, I hope we get to go back!

My son's math teacher is from Germany, so he took a tupperware bowl full for him, too. I can guarantee a "A" in that class after he eats that meal!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good morning, everyone!

As the excitement continues to build toward the Christmas Season, Kim and I decided to look at the Hallmark website to find a couple new ornaments for our tree this year. We're both really excited!

Not much going on today. I have the gym at about 5 PM, but that is about it. The weather seems to be getting to more seasonable temperatures. A high in the low 70s today. From there, nothing but low 60s and 50s for the next week. Fall is finally arriving. Believe it or not, there is a possibility of a little bit of snow showers on Sunday, too. Wouldn't that be interesting?!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Only a week and a day until our next milestone! ...even more of a reason to look forward to a Friday! For now, we only have one more day until the weekend. Hooray! Enjoy your day!
