Congrats!
It's been a long day.... Had a 2 and a half hour flight to Amarillo Tx,and sat in the hospital waiting room for hours on end.but the good news is my sister is going to be alright... turns out when they put her under for her surgery they rammed the tube down her throat to intubate her too hard and it ruptured her esophagus. So I guess that is why they have you sign all kinds of crap before surgery...you know liability issues and such. Im just glad she is okay and off the ventilator. She will have to have her orginal surgery much later after her throat heals. Makes me wary about hospitals though I have to say.well have a good weekend,it's going to be chilly here tonight!
Glad to hear she will be alright.
I think I saw that place on Man vs Food, I know I couldn't eat it all but I would love to see a steak that big. cheesy

Really sleepy tonight, one more day until my day off, my wife and I have a much needed date on Sunday. We are always go, go, go, with the kids in tow. Just need a break from them and have a little time to ourselves. JP had his second Cub Scouts meeting tonight, they are having a Pumpkin Festival tomorrow, but I will miss it due to my job. He really seems into this, which is a good thing, because soccer was a big failure, he lasted 15 minutes at that before not wanting to do it.
According to USA Today, Lowe's is supposed to be set for Christmas tomorrow, I may have to run over during my lunch break to check. And the way Kmart has disappointed I'm not holding my breath..

Good evening, MMC family! Just quickly checking in. I am still going to be behind - I had to work daylight again today and I am exhausted, so I am not going to even sit here and try to read for the next few hours. I'm going with my mom to a fall festival tomorrow - it's only supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow - big change from the 60 - 70's! Then we're supposed to get back up into the 70's again next week. Well, I am going to head to bed. I will try very hard to get caught up tomorrow. Oh...I just ordered my cookbook before the deadline! :smile:

Not a lot to do today a hour should clear it up
Think i will have a me day..laz about maybe have a few drinks and do a bit of horse racing
Gonna check the weather and see what tomorrow likes and if its gonna be good ,might sort out stuff for a car boot sale. theres a regular one i wood go to. they all no me so i get in and away quick as it mostly other sellers that take the stuff and put it on there on stalls. i dont mind . it gets the stuff of my hands and i dont have to stand all day. i can get home in about 2 hours. so if they are willing to stand the extra hours to get a extra pound or two on the stuff they have bought from me. goodluck to them
Have not been in 4 weeks it has been raining this past 4 sundays
The girls in the shop are telling me that people are asking about toys and was in the shop yesterday and i was asked.
Theres no big deal in it. as the minute i put them out they will be left over and paid in every week .
1st of october getting near the big day. some of the shops in the town have put out there biscuits and things like that. not that there is a lot in out town. there is only me and another shop that do christmas stuff and the otehr shop every thing is really expensive in it. but lovely stuff
So thank god i have the run of the town there. as i get my stuff direct from mail order firms.(returns,overstock,stuff like that)

am kinda a bit stressted out this morning
there is 3 in my family 1 sister and 2 brothers.
So about a month ago i went to them and said about putting a headstone up at out parents grave. only one brother speakes to the sister as we cant get on with her as she is so cold hearted you wood not beleive and we got him to ask her
She said yes thats ok and we all agreed the money wood be paid this weekend as the headstone wood be ready on the 5th oct
The brother went to her last night, and she said she had not got it and wood not have it......(she has 2 jobs and get paid the last day of the month) i wood not have minded if she had of said at the time i cant aford it, at least us 3 wood have known where we stood
Which means that her share is left to us 3 now the 2 brothers are saying that they cannot aford to pay her share
I REALLY DO FEEL LIKE GOING DOWN TO HER but know if i did i wood lost the plot. and am better than that..
Am siting there thinking i will have to put her share in. but what can i do. i know shes my sister and i should love her but hell i cant i dont even like her. i dont no what happened her. she is really cold hearted. can give you a look that wood cut you in 2 and everything she says . she has the gift of making you feel so small. not just to us but to everyone. she has no friends. SORRY TO GO ON AND ON.. but honestly if you knew her she wood annoy a saint in heaven

Goood morning! it is a chilly 46F here in Tx this morning! we are going to the hospital to visit with my sis then head back home this afternoon. I could not sleep hardly any last night for going outside every few minutes to get out in this cool windy weather...I wait all year for this and when It finally arrives I want to savor every last second of it! ....so many things starttoday. On the hallmark channel today they begin thier holiday countdown today starting today with 31 days until Halloween. Although I have it on right now and they have not put up an emblem yet in the corner of the screen. I will decorate my home and yard for halloween/fall tomorrow. A few of my neighbors have already done that as well. Yesterday in the hospital dining room they were serving pumpkin and sweet potato pie,and it was actually pretty good,the first piece of the year for me is always the best! Have a great saturday everyone! Fall has finally arrived...I know alot of people have fall festivals going on today too! have fun!

I just saw a hersheys kiss halloween commercial it's the first one I have seen all season,I am downright giddy today..I feel like it's the kickoff to the holiday season! The only thing that would be even better would be that Georgia will win today against Mississippi State! Go Dawgs! woof woof.

We are supposed to get down to 40 tomorrow night.
(It often seems to go quickly from hot to cold weather around here.)

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! Is it really October? I swear it was just yesterday that we were saying hello to september. It is a chilly morning here in central Indy where we currently stand at 39 degrees. We may finally see our first frost tonight. I don't have much going on today. I think I'm going to throw some chili in the crockpot for dinner and then I have some more apples to use up. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to make with them yet. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a cloudy and gloomy day here, rainy and cold......but I love it !!! Somehow before Christmas it is not depressing to have weather like this ......after Christmas.....Well we are not there yet !!
Next weekend is the Christmas Ornament premiere at Hallmark for October !!! Yea !!!!!!
I can't believe that this time next month Christmas music returns to the Music channel on cable !!!! HOORAY !!!!!!!!!! I always get teary eyed listening to the first couple of carols because it is so lovely that The Magic Season is upon us !!!
Have some errands to do today and am probably going to finish HP and the Deathly Hallows !! (Yep...I am one of the Harry Potter geeks who have read and re-read the books constantly !!)
I hope everyone has a magical,wonderful October 1 Saturday !!!

PS !! Saw my doc yesterday...got a Kenalog shot and my flu shot. Asthma is no longer a problem !!!! I actually SLEPT last night with only one pillow behind my back !!! In the coming days I should actually be able to lay flat again.....like a normal person (well sort of normal person !!
