Great news you are SELLING out!! Awesome!!! Good to "hear" from you

Good a.m to all on this wonderful site!! about to get myself & daughter out to work & school. my daughter goes for an MRI this afternoon due to her migraine headaches. I've had to put it off trying to get insurance & all that mess straightened out. Finally she's getting it. I do hope it's just hereditary; meaning there's nothing else going on. me, my mom, & my grandmother all have them. please say a prayer for her if you would. @ work we're decorating the "big" tree. we've done several others but this one will take the longest. the lights are brutal to put on. not even sure i have enough right now. i keep saying i'm gonna post some pics...but i really am once my kids show me how,LOL! hope ya'll have a great Thursday!!

Prayers being said for your daughter... HA, HA, HA the part about posting the pictures made me thinking of me!!!

I just typed a lot and then it was gone!

We have got internet, but as we are still extremely busy moving, i won't be on here as much as i'd want to, but still... i'm here!

We have our kitchen finished and are now laying the floor:

we have a grey kitchen, in high gloss, and we also got some grey on the walls, actually one of our walls is 2 thirds grey, which was kind of hard, but now looks really unique!

You sound busy but a good busy!!! The floor is very nice, I love the sound of the colors!!! Post when you can and it is good "hearing" from you :)

That's right. Its a made up place that we all go to every wednesday. If it was real I'm sure most of us would NEVER leave! haha!

LOL!!!!

Good morning everyone!
Another day, another nickel lol. Well I'm getting ready for my Halloween party at the end of the month. Too bad all of you didn't live closer. That would be a BIG bash! Last saturday of this month Im having people over. Costumes are optional, but better if they wear one. Some are party poopers and never wear one. I always do. My Christmas decorations are down at my desk for the month. I put up my halloween stuff. Then November 1st it goes right back to Christmas stuff. People I work with are used to it! I can't believe its less then 30 days until my Christmas stuff goes up. Once October comes around the time flies by! I still don't understand people saying its too early for Christmas stuff blah blah blah. Do they not like the jolly season? Do they not like giving? Do they not like Jesus? (Depending on who or what you believe in of course!). Do they not like the music and good feelings? Guess not! haha. Hmmm maybe Ill watch Christmas Vacation on my ipod today! Well have a great day everyone!

Ohhh, wish I did live closer I dress up just to give out candy!!!! I love it, I'll say it again.... I LOVE IT!!! I also, love Halloween parties!!! Hope it is a great BASH!!! You'll post pictures right?!?!

Good morning, Christmas family!

I have a busy day ahead of me again, just wanted to pop on quick and catch up on the Countdown.

Have a MERRY day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you do too...

My inner child gets way too excited over Christmas and then I get an asthma attack. LOL. Yes. Its true. Every year I get a terrible asthma attack over getting too excited about Christmas. How crazy is THAT?!

OMG!!! I felt bad but I laughed when I read this like no way!!! I feel horrible but could help myself!!! Sorry U!!!

Hahaha not to laugh a out your asthma, but the whole incident in general is pretty funny!! Well sounds funny haha does it happen every year?

OK so I wasn't alone... Britt I know what you mean, it isn't funny about his asthma, but the whole way it happens every year in general sounds funny... I felt so bad laughing but they way he put it...

Good morning,

I want to put up my tree right now!

Just relaxing, now that the kids are at school, they just wear me down, they are so high energy and never stop fighting with each other. I may run out to the mall to see what Christmas stuff awaits me. Not much planned besides that.

I saw fresh cranberries at the store this morning, another sign the best holidays are almost here!

Have a great day!

I do too!!! I just feel I need it, you know. Ahhh, fighting kids; it is music to the parents heart, just not their ears and head!!! I think I read that somewhere once!!!

YAY!!! Cranberries!!!! YAY!!!!

Good morning! It feels more like mid summer than Christmas around Ohio this week!! Lovin the 80º weather though! :)

Hope everyone is having a great day!!!

Wow awesome for you!!! We are having some nice weather here too, low 70's and clear beautiful blue skies, it is nice for a change!!!

Me too!!!!!! I've been wanting to do it for about a week now. I don't know if I can wait another 7 weeks.

I always put things out for Thanksgiving - I have a whole display window, but I so feel the urge for Christmas...

I have returned from my Rideau Centre adventure. Kim did some shopping and also came along with me to spot a few Christmas displays! The Christmas photos will be saved for the Christmas Blossoms thread. However, on my way home, I snapped this photo of the Parliament Buildings (left) while crossing the Rideau Canal. It's been such a nice day that I had to share it with you all...

For Christmas photos, go to the Blossoms thread!

It's true! You need the Christmas music while you bake!!!

Yes, you do cheesy

So much pain among my friends. I pray all of your needs are met and health restored to you and your family & friends.

Well said, Mayor!

Good morning,

I want to put my trees up, too! Cranberries - yay!!!! I am going grocery shopping tomorrow, so hopefully they are in the local stores around here, too!

Me too!!!!!! I've been wanting to do it for about a week now. I don't know if I can wait another 7 weeks.

I know I can't wait that long!

It's the same here in Indy. I don't like it though. Our fall festival starts tomorrow and I'm use to carrying hot chocolate around with me. It won't seem right if it's 85 degrees and I'm looking for the shade to cool off.

You can drink hot chocolate/cocoa any time!

There's nothing like a 120 volt shock to wake you up in the morning!!! I was replacing the light switch for my sisters ceiling fan in her kitchen and got a little zap. I had all of the circuit breakers for the kitchen turned off but it turned out to be on the one for the Stairs. Oh well. It's not the first time I've shocked myself and probably won't be the last.

Ouch - glad you are okay!

Well my niece is still really dizzy this morning and exrelmely itchy. No rash yet but it took 3 days last time before it started to appear. My sister has to take my nephew to the eye docotor this morning(he may need surgery because the muscles that control his eyes are to weak) and then if my niece is still bad this afternoon she is going to take her to the ER. My whole family is just falling apart. I think me and my youngest niece are the only 2 that don't have something majorly wrong with us at the moment.

Aw, Made, I will keep praying for your family - things will improve!!!!

My sister & I did a Haunted Vegas tour while she was here, to get in the Halloween spirit. It was really interesting. More of a spooky history lesson than anything else.. they took us to the Flamingo where Bugsy Siegel lived & still haunts. And talked about the MGM fire that took so many lives. Such a tragedy. We also went by Redd Foxx's old home & heard about his life story. It's now a real estate firm that reports strange occurrences. They hired a psychic medium to come in & find out why he was haunting it. Apparently, he just wanted people to remember him & know that it was once his house, before the IRS took it away. So he "requested" that a red fox be put out in front of it to honor his memory. And they did. I thought it was a pretty cool story!
I spoke to Harlowe's vet yesterday, and her basic cbc labs look good- a real improvement. Unfortunately, her pre liver function test shows an increase in the enzyme count. Of course, we still need to re-do the post part of the test to get accurate results. But, she feels we need to put her back on the liver function meds. Bummer, but we will do whatever we have to do to get her well again. Thanks you again for keeping her in your thoughts & prayers! She means the world to me!

The Haunted Toru sounds so cool!
I will keep Harlowe in my thoughts and prayers!!

I went to the mall, I only saw Christmas stuff at Hallmark, and a little bit at Sears, people complain that it's out too early and I cannot find any. Kmart has none, Walmart has a tiny amount, and Sears. That's all I have seen so far, I have gone to Goodwill to see more than the other stores. Wife and kids will be home soon, I am sure the boys will start fighting as soon as they walk in. Just under 4 hours until the Bruins game starts. Wooooohooooo! Go B's!!!

Enjoy the the afternoon!!

I forgot to say this last night, as I was driving home last night, I was on my road about 3/4 of a mile from home. I saw something cross the road, I slowed down thinking it was a deer as I got closer it looked like a dog, and then I really saw it in my high beams it was a coyote! I drove by it, it looked at me and started running towards my car. I was freaked out and sped up. I know their are coyotes in my area, but I never saw one before.

Hi all,

I can only be here for a short time today. Kim and I are heading out in a few moments. We will be going to vote in our Provincial Election and then to the mall to search for Christmas decorations and displays at the Rideau Centre. Can you guess which one excited me more?!

It's a beautiful day here in Ottawa. The sun is shining, there is not a cloud in the sky and we are currently at a cool 10C, or 50F. I love this weather. At least it's comfortable enough for me to wear shorts and a sweater. I like to wear shorts as long past the summer as possible.

Well, Kim is almost done in the shower, so I should check out a few pages of posts and see what everyone else is up to... Maybe I'll have time to reply too.

We're so close to our next Milestone. It will be an incredible feeling tomorrow, to wake up and see that the Homestretch to the Christmas Season has begun! In fact, a week from today will be exactly one month until the Season! Wow-wee! Have a great Thursday, everyone.

With each day, it begins to feel more and more like Christmas!

Hope you two have fun, wow the homestretch.. I am getting buterfiles just thinking about it!!!

OUCH, Made, you don't have to prove how electrifying you are we already know!!! Glad you are OK though!!!

Good Morning, friends~

I can't believe we are down to 79 days!! Woohoo!
We have been getting some rain, which we desperately need, and it is finally cool! High of 65 today.
Feels like Fall :pumpkin:
I'm going to really enjoy it, because it will be back in the 80's-90's next week.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

That sounds so interesting, now that is something I would love to do!!! Thank you for the update on little Harlowe, I can completely understand how you feel about her.

Enjoy the Stanley Cup banner raising celebration tonight. The game is not broadcasted in Canada, but I will be streaming it online. I'm excited to watch! Congratulations one last time on the Cup victory and it should be another fantastic year for hockey. The hockey season is back!!

I'm about to start work, but I wanted to wish everyone a MERRY evening!!!

We have held the auditions, (everybody gets a part though) and the Angel is being played by I believe six different children and we have 4 understudies. The main person character who is called Miss. Terry will also be played by eight different children, other characters will also be different children, to give as many as we can a chance. This works really well, years ago, it had been said that the same children had the same parts and it made quite an issue. Well, needless to say the kids are always happy just being able to help. So, we have asked the members to come and help build "the set". We have had a lot of interest this year and I think it is because no-one had heard of this story, and then I tell them where I heard about it and a few people have come and asked me about this website, I am keeping a watchful eye on new membership lately!!! Tee Hee!!!

With the approval of the church members my pastor is going to ask everyone if I can invite the youth group and have them participate. I think them getting involved and helping with a project like this might "soften" their views on people in general.

Thanks for the update, and for keeping the updates coming!

So sad to hear about your niece. I wish they had something that didn't affect her like that. I hope your nephew will be ok too!

Interesting tour! My dad stayed at MGM hotel one month before it burned down.

I hope Harlowe will be ok!
We are also having an Octoberfest too, so maybe we will have some German apple deserts too....

I think them getting involved and helping with a project like this might "soften" their views on people in general. I had been on vacation and well I missed one session and when I was back with them on Monday, they were like oh we didn't think you'd come back!?!?! Kind of sad really, but I can completely understand them, when you hear what family is suppose to be like and then you see what you have it can be a bitter pill to shallow. I just try and focus on positive, I tell them if I can do it you can too, it is choice, and it isn't easy. You have a choice, you can be that one who turns your life around, and I tell them flat out, you have to want it because there will be no support system like others will have, but as you keep going further your support system will grow, and while it may not be the conventional system of Mom, Dad, Sibs, it may be someone like me, a teacher, or prof., a friend, and soon you will have a family made out of all of these, family is what you make of it. I start each group that way, every meeting we tell each other that. I won't lie I have never heard from a lot of them after they were done with the sessions, but I have a few that have "gotten out", I speak with them, one is even a team leader now too. It is rewarding to know that I have helped and I often try to focus that this is the reason I never had children of my own, that this is what I was to do, help children who didn't have a mom or dad they could go too.
What great work you do!!!!
Wife and kids will be home soon, I am sure the boys will start fighting as soon as they walk in. Just under 4 hours until the Bruins game starts. Wooooohooooo! Go B's!!!
Seeing that you are a hockey fan I think your boys are getting a head start on becoming hockey players by practicing fighting! :D

Are you trying to light up like a Christmas Tree!?

christmas-vacation.jpg

I am glad you are ok! Be careful!

My grandchildren did not come over today so I headed up to the gym with my mom and aunt and then planned to get a bunch of stuff done when I got home. Instead of having a burst of energy when I returned home I took a nap! Here it is after 3:30 and only got a load of laundry done. I feel a little better now so I hope to accomplish something.

I don't think I mentioned but Wayne ended up having to go to the doctor yesterday. Just when he thought he was doing better he got sick again! They ran blood work and the good news is it's just viral and the doctor said it will run it's course and he should be just fine. He has not eaten well for almost a week and finally getting a little appetite back.

Don't let the movies fool you. 120 volts just kind of tingles if you brush up against it. It doesn't really hurt. I don't recommend trying it though.

So sad to hear about your niece. I wish they had something that didn't affect her like that. I hope your nephew will be ok too!

My niece has an allergic reaction to just about everything they have put her on. Most of them have been steroids so that's what they thought it was last time. Since they didn't give her steroids yesterday though we know it's the remicade this time.

My nephew got refereed onto a surgeon. He has been in physical therapy for the last 2 years and his eyes have improved but they still wander some times. The eye doctor doesn't know if the surgeon will want to operate for sure but thinks they probably will.

Hey Made, or anyone else who is watching The X-Factor. Do you have a favorite yet? I know it's still early but I just love Josh Krajcik and the 13 year old girl, Rachel Crow! I could very well change my mind as time goes by in case those 2 have disappointing performances but for now that is who I have my eye on.

I haven't really decided yet. I'll admit that I skipped it last night so I'm not even sure who's left. Maybe I'll make up my mind tonight.

Most of the ones who stayed are the ones they focused on during the auditions. They did send that one weird funny guy home who did that funky dance and sing that Radiohead song. Not sure if you know who I am talking about. He is the one who started Planet Paula. Ha ha! I thought he was so funny but I knew he wouldn't last long.
