I hit the jackpot. Right now, the neighborhood is doing a council clean up and I found a bag full of mint condition Christmas decorations. I am so happy that I found them. All new and fresh.

What a wonderful weekend it has been !!
Friday we headed out early to run errands, went to Hobby Lobby and I got a tree topper for my QVC tree. It is so pretty !! That is an AMAZING place !! We were going to get a new tree there but the smallest they have was 7.5 feet - the biggest we can fit is a 7 footer so we passed. I did find a small polar bear plush which I HAD to "adopt" !!! We then went to Donzell's Garden Center (which is where Christmas open house is the first weekend in November) and we found a tree !!
I wanted a flocked one this year and found one on sale !! It is so pretty I cant wait to decorate it !!
Saturday was the Christmas Ornament Premiere at Hallmark and my sister and I went. We got the final ornaments we both wanted and even got each other a couple of special ones then we continued our "sister" outing. It was such a blast !! The old magic of becoming complete nuts when we are together returned. We laughed and laughed and it was priceless and the weather was just gorgeous !!!

HollyJells - I hope you feel better. There is nothing like a cold that rebounds and comes back !! Glad your MIL is feeling better - Keeping you both in my prayers !!

This afternoon is the start of my work week. I have some time to make up this week since when I got on Thursday the company was having technical difficulties and I could not even start until 4 p.m. when I am supposed to start at 3. Just hope I can get that time made up.

Was reading a few of you have the flu/cold. horrible hope your well soon but guess its the time of year for it. think i wood rather have it now then round the christmas month

Feel in a really christmas mood today dont really no why. might take a walk to out graden cantre and see if they have there christmas stuff out. i dont no why i do this as i get loads of my own ot i have a christmas film i have not seen in ages, earnest saves christmas. it on video. i cant find the dvd over there any where in region 2. and i did not have a video to watch it but a mate came on one and give it to me (nice mate)
Talking of christmas stuff i wood need to start and bring it in. in a way i hate to see it as one pallet might have as much as 300 items and all have to be opened .checked and priced . But at the same time its nice to see all the christmas items and i have 11 pallets of them !!
What you all gonna be doing today ? whatever it is hope you enjoy it
Do any of you guys have dogs that fall out???? my 2 boxers is not speaking, usually they are very close but yesterday they will not lay together and scooby is trying to fight with sasha. And sasha does not need it as she was from a dog home and was really badly treated. and hurt ( broken leg . she walks with the leg stuck out and its a bit shorter that the other one) and that they were gonna put her down. but i won then over and got her . think the only reason i got her was they knew me from working in the vets at that time. dont no whats going on with when. they are ok to a point . am sure they will come round
Any gonna go now and get a cuppa. and will talk to you all later

Good morning. It's Sunday. Time for FOOTBALL. Why do I think Tom Brady is going to put up a lot of yards against my Jets? I hope that I'm wrong. Sunday's in the fall are awesome. Mid-October wow. We're in the home stretch. How is that possible? I know...the magic of the Season count that's how.
Looks like today will be a warm one here in the NY area. It's supposed to be in the low 80s! Wow. I bet after the next couple of days we won't see 80 degrees again until some time in MAY.
I mentioned in another thread (forgot which one) that one year I bought a couple of gifts per month starting in Jan for Christmas. While it was fun to do during the year when Thanksgiving came and I had bought a good amount of the gifts already it kind of made me lose something as I didn't have much to shop for during the season. I decided the last couple of years to change that and not buy anything until Thanksgiving but instead I started a "work in progress" Christmas list as soon as Christmas was over and kept it going all year long. I would just basically throw out ideas on this list in my email and add to it each weekend as I searched online for gift ideas etc. As the year goes on I add to it and delete stuff I decide that I am not going to buy. I am still working on it now.

Thanks CM3!!!!!! She was starting to do better yesterday. The redness was gone from her face and her arms and it looked like the rash was clearing up. Now hopefully it just starts helping the pain in her joints.

The Season arrives in just a month and 4 days, followed by our FINAL Milestone, the 90 percent mark to Christmas Day on Nov 18.
Then nothing stands between us and Christmas Day.
(Wow! Things have so moved along this year.)

It's nice and sunny with a predicted high of 78 degrees and no rain.
It really will be a Super Sunday!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! Well I'm going to be a bad boy and skip church this morning. I'm going to head back out to the fair instead. I need one last helping of fair food before the year is over. Then it will be back home to watch some football and racing. Today is going to be a good test for the Colts. They are playing the Chiefs and if they can't beat them I have no hope for the rest of the season. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning fellow Christmasites! (if I can use that kind of technical terminology at this time!) - In a top notch mood at the moment. Last night at work I got asked to go on follow spots (I work in a theatre, with a background in video/film production and theatre) and normally work as a steward, but last night I got to go on the technical team and man one of the spotlights (I even did the first pickup of the show!)
Anyway, I'm in a good mood now, and with a sizeable chunk of my Xmas shopping starting at the end of this month, I've begun to think about what to buy. I'm somewhat tempted to buy my parents a kindle for the two of them, and preload it with a few books (some of the classics are available for free) - but not sure on it yet. I'd want to get some little bits to go with it too.
I dropped the Christmas music onto my iPod for the season now also.
I'm also very close to finalising my idea for these forums come Nov 13th...

Morning friends! Sitting outside in the BEAUTIFUL weather...we check in at a nice breezy 65 degrees supposedly on our way to 80....it is so nice outside in the mornings this time of year.
Wife's a little upset with me. I went out to do a few things before the coffee got ready and locked myself out of the house. She was not a happy camper when she had to get up. I'm going to need to work hard today to get out of that doghouse.....will be hard to do with NFL football on, but I know where my bread is buttered....
Going to be around reading the boards...see y'all in a little bit!

This sounds like you had a great time!!! Ditto to what you said about Monday's Thanksgiving! I am waiting for an invitation to visit SOMEONE who is celebrating on Monday!!! Any takers??? I am SO glad that Wish is doing better! I love all the pictures of Harlowe, Palmer (so, so, so cute) and all the other babies. When Lil' Dawg gets here, we will have to distinguish between furbabies and human babies!! CM3--I was spraying one of my T-shirts with a spray and wash product. My husband came up and said, "Hmm. Do you have goobers on your shirt?" I said, "No, that would be CM3." He gave me the funniest look!!! I wonder why?
