We had a nice evening with our friends who were in town from Wisconsin. There is never enough time to catch up!
It's another beautiful day here, sunny & 65 right now. High of 80 degrees. It's supposed to cool down this week, with high @ 70. I can't wait!!

I was in town on Friday and the towns christmas lights were going up. they look like they wont be too bad considering the issues they had with the original company going bankrupt earlier this year then finding out that every single bracket and wire did not meet health and safety regulations. the brackets had rusted and the wire turned out to be TV antenna wire! Then they found out all the electrics were graded for inside use so literally everything has had to be replaced at great cost (£40,000 instead of the usual £14,500) They will have to spend even more next year to finish off fixing the mess but they hope to recover some of the cash from the old companies administrator.
I went to some stores with my uncle looking at the outdoor christmas lights as I need to get some replacement sets this year for outside. Some of my LED lights have sadly corroded and thus a lot of LED bulbs are out on some strands

It has been quite a day, we went out and nearly finished the Christmas shopping for the boys, unexpected but now it's done. Came home threw some burgers on the grill, cleaned up and took a 2 hour nap. Got to make dinner now.

I have been enjoying the watching wildlife today: deer playing, chipmunks harvesting nuts and a woodchuck munching on leaves. I love the woods!
As I was shuffling things around yesterday, Palmer was underfoot. I realized that there is no way I can put the big tree up as it wouldn't be Palmer-proof. So, I tentatively decided today that either the three foot or four foot tree goes on the kitchen table and one of the thin trees goes in my bedroom. I don't think Mouse will go after the ornaments, but just in case, no glass. Not sure what to do about the lights, but that is why the plan is tentative. I don't have to have it down until the first of next month when I decorate - WooHoo!!!

good evening Christmas family! well it's been a beautiful day here. sunny ,not a cloud in the sky & temp was around68.
went to mama's yesterday to clean her house for her as she can't w/ a broken foot. spent the whole day w/ her & daddy. it was very nice. it seems i'm always rushing & didn't have to then.
well i had to go to the funeral home because one of my co-workers lost her husband. he had been very sick. all of us from the shop decided to meet & ride together. wouldn't ya" know it, as i was getting in the back seat of the bosses van she shut her door & "YIKES" that was my hand. can you say OUCH @%^&$#^*%$*, it hurt sooooo bad. then a sweet little lady @ the funeral home squeezed my hand as we met & i couldn't let her know i was hurt.
sitting here now w/ a frozen bag of corn on my hand. my nail on my left hand is blue & man is this thing throbbing!! not so easy to peck away @ the keyboard w/ one hand.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been making a presence very much in the past week or so in the countdown. In fact, I haven't even been on here that much at all. Not only do I still have two sick kiddos with a cold, Friday night, EA started not feeling well as far as belly issues and is still that way today. She has a fever as well, last check here about an hour ago was 102.8. DH and I haven't been feeling the best either and have been working, plus working overtime, so we're both pretty run down.
I hope everyone on here is doing well. Prayers to anyone that needs them, as well as well wishes. I hope to be able to be back on to my norm in the next couple of days - my day off is Tuesday, so hopefully by then I can get caught up on some stuff. If I missed anything super important, someday please let me know! Thanks!

Good evening, Christmas friends.
I am happy to say I am finally back to work! Worked both yesterday and this morning doing cash office...I have my first admin day back tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. I was able to get together with a friend I work with at both jobs and catch up on everything. Unfortunately there is a co-worker at Kohl's who said some things about me while I was out sick and it has me a little agitated about going back...but I guess you can't stop what people think, no matter what you do. (Apparently it was a miscommunication error between other co-workers not telling him that I was going to be out all week sick, and somehow I still got blamed? I dunno...) But I am happy to be feeling better and get out of the house!
Had a good weekend...went to a housewarming party for some close friends yesterday which was a lot of fun. The weather is beautiful right now...getting colder but still warm-ish out! Overall a nice end to what was a rough week.
