Total winter wonderland here, too! All of my family members are without power so I am feeling thankful we're still good over here. I'd say we have at least 4 or so inches so far. This is nuts!!

I love snow but I worry about everyone losing power and it being so cold... all these trees still have all their leaves and they are snappng like crazy. The tree right in front of our house is just looking funky - I hope none of the branches break!

I am sure if they know you, they won't think anything of it. cheesy

That's true. They would just shake their heads and walk on. Kind of like they do when I tell them how many days there are to christmas in the middle of January.

We're baaaaaack!

Snow-in-Texas and I have been away on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks.

We went to Maryland to see his friends and family, then New York City to see the 911 Memorial and John Lennon Memorial in Central Park, Washington DC and...................SANTA CLAUS, INDIANA!!!!

When we returned from that trip back to Texas we headed to the coast for a 5 day Caribbean Cruise. Just got back home this afternoon. We stopped at the port in Cozumel, Mexico and Progreso, Mexico. Hurricane Rina got a little in the way and was scheduled to hit Cozumel on Thursday, the day we were suppose to arrive. They switched the days and had us stop in Cozumel on Wednesday and then Progreso on Thursday to get away from the storm. The waters were real rough since the hurricane was close but we had fun!

Guess what I was shopping for on our cruise? Christmas ornaments! I bought a couple on the cruise ship. I bought one with a Carnival cruise ship on it. In the port of Progreso I bought a Mexican Nativity. I could not find any Christmas tree ornaments I liked there. They had only a few to choose from.

I will post pictures in a few days. I got quite a few from Santa Claus, Indiana that I can't wait for you all to see.

I thought about you all a lot and miss you! I am very very tired and will try to get back on here soon to catch up on some post.

I'm on my third day in bed after a surgery at Wednesday..
Surf, sleep, read, listening to Christmas music (medicine)..

Wishing you all a great weekend! :D
((SOLICE)) ........Praying you feel better soon ! xo

Good morning!

There is a heavy frost on the ground and I had to crank the furnace up to 75 to warm the house up for Mouse and Palmer. Mouse woke me up at 4 - not sure what she wanted, but she was sure vocal about it! I did fall back asleep, though - yay me!!!!!

I have to work today - from home - so I am going to listen to Chris Isaak's latest and then put Michael Buble's Christmas on repeat - I think it will be a good day

I wish you all a MERRY day!!!!!!!!!!!

((HUGS)) Meceka, Palmer and Mouse, Bo and all the furkids !! xo Michael Buble's Christmas album sounds like it is very good..I am going to have to get it !! xo

I didn't realize this.... 2,000 posts!! It only took me a 3 years and 1 month to accomplish. But, I guess it is more like 2 years and four months because I never really started posting until July of 2009. Either way, I am now at 2,000! My goal for the month has been reached!

Congratulations Brent !! xo

Good morning to you, Christmas family!!

Thank God It's Friday!!!

I was working on a mega post earlier this morning, had spent about a half hour on it, then I hit the Back key, and lost it all. Can you say frustrating?! Sheesh! Anyways, I think I'm caught up for now :)

I hope you all have a GREAT, HALLOWEEN-Y weekend!

That has happened to me a couple of times !!! It IS frustrating !! xo (((HUGS))) to you and Har xo

Hello Christmas family!

What a crazy week it's been! My first full week back was definitely busy but I felt so productive - something I don't always feel. My boss still has a way of making me feel less than dirt though, while making everyone else feel like they're doing well.

Also, on another work related note, our Kohl's, and I believe all Kohl's nationwide, are opening Black Friday at MIDNIGHT, meaning we will be open for 24 straight hours.

Have a great Halloween weekend everyone, and I'm sorry if this post got a little whiney/complainy!! I promise no more anytime soon!!

The person who used to bully me when nobody was around was also my boss and get this.....she's a minister's wife........You would think she would have had some kindness in her...I hope your situation gets better V !! And opening at midnight ?!! That is terrible !!! I love Christmas and Black Friday but come on .......Midnight !??

The snow is probably not going to be very enjoyable---wet, heavy, and sloppy, plus high winds, so we're likely to lose our power and break our backs shoveling out. AccuWeather says 2.2 inches, but NWS says 3 to 7. Do I hear any volunteers---preferably from Ga.?

Hope you and Mr. Are Safe Merry xoxo (((HUGS)))

Hi everyone!
Louie seems to be doing better. He doesn't seem to be coordinated as much as before, but he isn't sleeping all day anymore. Hopefully he will make a full recovery, and thank you SO much to everyone who sent their thoughts/prayers our way, it means a lot.
Have a good night!!

Snowangel........Still praying for your (((LOUIE))) xo

My stitches were removed from my shoulder today. I only had to have four "holes" for the doctor to do his surgery. I am SO far behind, but I am looking forward to catching up on all the posts. There's not a lot I can do physically, so this will keep me busy. I am just giddy with excitement about all the posts, the upcoming holidays, the new cookbook, the gift exchange and all the other exchanges, and, yes, my upcoming surgeries. My eye surgeries will be done on November 2 and the facelift on December 14. Oh, how vain am I? I will be returning to work on a limited basis. I cannot believe how it is getting harder to bounce back. I am sure it has NOTHING to do with my age!!! I had to take a three-hour nap the other day! I hope to finish all my catching up right after my eye surgeries. Note the use of the word "hope." And a HUGE congrats to Dawg for being MOM. It is a great honor, and the green banner is an added touch of recognition. My eyes are slowly closing, so I better get to bed. I really miss you guys.

Seawaters !!!!!! How we have all missed you !! (((HUGS)))

I went to sleep at 9 then woke up to let the dog out at 1038 and still can't get back to sleep. Not even the Murder She Wrote marathon on Hallmark put me back to sleep. So I decided to get up and see what the weather was doing. Maybe I will sleep better tomorrow night. At least I don't have to worry about working tomorrow. Last I saw on weather.com so many of you guys are on the 'power outage likely' areas.Good luck!

And to everyone else hope everything is good.
have a chill out saturday and a great halloween weekend

(((Shellie))) Thanks for your good wishes !! xo

Never went back to sleep just dozed off. And had a really bad dream so I got up and decided to make coffee(something I dont usually drink) but we got the special pumpkin spice creamer so I have decided to give that a try. I have nothing special to do today although I may drive around and look at the fall foilage while it's so pretty and of course the ga/fl football game is later on GO DAWGS!!!!!!. Have a great morning everyone! we made to another weekend!

I do that as well.......have nightmares all the time when I do sleep...!! The leaves are still pretty here too !! xo
Eggnog is in the grocery store dairy coolers, it's calling for a couple inches of snow tonight, and Monday is ... Halloween? Various communities are postponing their Halloween festivities tonight because of the snow. We won't be getting as much here as they're expecting inland, but it's still a shock to get a Winter Storm Warning before Halloween. Crossing our fingers that we don't lose power tonight.

Merry........Praying for you and all in the path of this storm xoox

So, for all of you who participate in the card exchange, when do you start sending them out? Do people start right after we get the contact/address info.? I'm so excited

Well, need to go hop in the shower & start getting ready for the day.

Enjoy your Saturday!

When the card exchange closes, Maureen will make a list available of all the participants with addresses !! Cant wait to get started myself but my cards aren't even here yet !! xoxo

All of these snow pictures on the weather channel are really putting me in the christmas mood. I really want to get my tree down out of the attic and put it up right now. I wonder what my neighbors would say.

Oh Made....Doesn't matter what non-Christmas folk think, does it ??!!!!

My dad should arrive in a matter of minutes. It is just under a nine hour drive from the Sault to Ottawa, so I'm saying that he will be here by 4:15. Upon his arrival, we will be heading for some Endless Shrimp, which will be followed by an evening of watching hockey and hanging out.

Enjoy the rest of your day, everyone!

This sounds like a wonderful way to spend time Brent !!!! xo

I don't know if I have allergies or a cold, but I got one to the two....yuck....

Coach......Hope you are feeling better soon !! xo

I've been dealing with it all week frined and I agree, Yuck!! I hope you feel better soon!!!!!!!

Made hope you are feeling better soon too !! xo

The rain has changed over to snow here, and it feels like the temps are dropping, too. It's about 34F now. We just finished topping off our windshield washer fluid and covering our windshields. We're in for the night, and maybe for tomorrow, too, depending on how much falls. Cross your fingers that we don't lose electricity and heat. The snow is very wet and sticky, and is already clinging to the tree leaves.

Hoping the storm passes quickly for you and everything stays intact !! xo

It's a Winter Wonderland up here!

Praying you and yours are safe and warm Xmas! xo

Good evening,Christmas Family !! Happy Halloween !

I got my "Night of The Living Dead " Fix out of the way......I discovered they were showing it on Pay per view for just $2.99 and I ordered it. I don't normally watch zombie movies or scary movies but that one is a classic so I usually try to watch it every Halloween. I actually find the ending really sad........

Wish and me were snuggled in watching the movie with a fireplace. We have both been really cold today. He is such a cuddly guy.....He has arthritis (just like me !) and last night I put the heating pad on my back then got Wish up in my arms and covered him over and away to sleep we went..........

Tomorrow is the start of my work week. I found out that for the next few weeks there are likely to be mandatory weekend hours. I an always use extra money, who can't ?,but I need my weekend off .....I will do the best I can with this !! I did find out that the reason I am not getting Radiology reports so much now is that they have two other people on afternoon shift doing it !! I got really upset about this - I was handling it just fine.....now there is very little Rad for me to do. I wrote and asked why they did this but don't know if they will answer. I was never given the opportunity of just doing rad all the time.....I just don't think it's fair....Whine over !

I hope everyone is well xo Have a safe Halloween all those who celebrate !

Snowangel_3 - Praying for Louie xo

Sugar and Snowflake and Lauriebear - Thinking of your Ella, Harlowe and Snickers !! xo

Meceka - Thoughts and warm furry ((HUGS)) to you, Palmer, Mouse, Bo and all xo

Solice - Hope you continue to feel better xo

Well as Christmas-a-Holic said we just got back from a 2 1/2 week vacation. It was great being back in Maryland seeing my family, and those great fall colors!!! And as far as the cruise, it was my first time on a cruise, and I can't wait until we can do it again!!! I can't remember the last time I enjoyed myself so much and felt so relaxed!! I didn't want it to end!!

Morning. Got nothing planned today, so i'm just going to watch a few movies, play a bit of PS3 and pump some iron if i feel up to it. A very laid-back day for me. Hope everybody else has a great day or evening. Depending on where you live.

Good very snowy evening,

We are in the middle of a major snowstorm right now, according to the latest update we are now in the 10-18 inches of snow range, it started while I was at work the drive home was a little treacherous but took it slow and steady. According to the National Grid we are one of only 46 homes in my town that still have electricity, but we have been experiencing brownouts all night, and we hear trees cracking around us, this poor town lost thousands upon thousands of trees during the tornado back in June. Hopefully the power stays all night.

Have a great night!

LOL...I announce how many days to Christmas all year long and I get some strange looks and head shaking too. Oh well, too bad for them that they can't have the joy in their hearts all year long. But, its a constant reminder why I am here at MMC. To be among all of you that have the love, passion and appreciation of Christmas. It is so nice to know we are never alone. We all have each other!! :-D

Nice to hear about the snow but you stay safe . and hoping your power stays on . do you usually have snow as early ?

Great advice, LB. I tend to agree about the jealousy part. What else could it be? Really too bad that some people are so unhappy in their own lives that they feel the need to take it out on others just to boost themselves.

There is nothing wrong with you, friend! Sounds like it's her & her own issues. Maybe she's just really unhappy and sees that you are in a great place in your life. Maybe she's jealous of your positive attitude. Who knows. Just be yourself, and keep doing what you're doing  Hope the situation improves for you. If not, kill her with kindness & lots of smiles! Maybe even a wink or two, that'll drive her bonkers, lol.

Never thought about the wink thing...maybe I'll try that! I've been feeling good about everything today so I'm not worrying about it until something would happen again. Thank you for the advice! =)

A couple years ago we saw an ad for Michael's that showed them opening Thanksgiving evening, and I was interested in some of the specials, so we drove over. There was a small group of people waiting for them to open up, and in spite of lights in the store, they never opened up. Someone finally phoned, and was told that they couldn't open because of the Mass. law. That made for one irritated bunch of people waiting outside that store. We wondered why Michael's even ran the ad.

I would've been SO ANGRY if I were one of those people!

We are going out to lunch, and catching a matinee of Paranormal Activity 3, as planned. I'm thinking of Millers Ale House for lunch, craving some zingers. Kimothy, you must recognize that restaurant? I think they originally started in Florida.

So, for all of you who participate in the card exchange, when do you start sending them out? Do people start right after we get the contact/address info.? I'm so excited

How was PA3? I actually had Millers Ale House when I visited my friends in Jax last month and it was some of the best food I ever had! I had a key lime salad and oh my goodness...heaven! As for the card exchange, I believe the addresses will be coming out this week, and I usually start doing my cards right after. The earlier, the better I say!

And NOW the celebration will begin! Goodnight folks talk to you all tomorrow!

I'm happy for the win for you, although I was hoping it would go the other way (my BFF is a rabid Gators fan and I have issues with some GA fans I went to VSU with, lol). It was a good game, though!

Wow, that is crazy about that lady! The situation is already better...I am in a better place today and not letting it bother me anymore. Yeah, midnight is crazy but there's nothing we can do about it now! Sigh.

Well as Christmas-a-Holic said we just got back from a 2 1/2 week vacation. It was great being back in Maryland seeing my family, and those great fall colors!!! Cruises are the best! I myself have only been on one (Bermuda) but I can't wait to go on another one! DF and I actually considered a cruise for our honeymoon but since they are very on-the-go, we're deciding on an all-inclusive and will save cruising for another time. =) Glad you had such a relaxing time!

Hoping you get through the storm okay! Seems like you're getting a little more than we are down here, although the power outages are rampant here too! Take care and check in often!!
