Hey all!

I'm also super excited! In my street they already hung the first Christmas decoration on the night of Halloween! I guess they also can't wait till Christmas! Totally in the Christmas mood and I hope the weather will become more chillier to enhance that feeling:) I attached a picture of the street decoration I live in :) 54 more days (over here in the Netherlands)

Hi All!

I'm seriously debating if I want to put up my tree this weekend or next. Hmmm......

Oh, and if Target has their Christmas cards out this weekend, you can bet your bottom dollar I'm gonna buy a few boxes!

Now?? On to a night of relaxation with a yummy dinner and (FINALLY!) a brand-spankin' new episode of Glee!

My cousin's surgery went very well. I am relieved it's over! Now it's time to set up some Christmas decorations. So far 2 table top trees are set up!

I'm glad to hear that it went well. I'll keep your cousin in my prayers.

Hi everyone, Happy belated Halloween and Happy November 1st! Sorry I have been MIA again UGH! Been so busy at work and tomorrow is my surgery. I woke up with a cold this morning, not feeling too bad mainly just a stuffy nose.. already spoke to my doctor but now even more nervous about my surgery and getting put to sleep while I have a cold..just looking forward to watching the Christmas music on music choice "sounds of the season" when I get home. 23 days until US Thanksgiving =0). Going to try to catch up on some posts!

I hope the surgery goes well. I'll keep you in my prayers and enjoy the christmas music!!!!!!

How was the Ghost Hunters live event this year? I hit the sack early after we turned off the porch light and didn't check on the Ghost Hunters.

It seemed pretty active. I only made it until 11:30 before I fell asleep on the couch but they had several good EVP's at that point and Amy was getting some good communcation using the flashlight trick. They were supposed to show all of the evidence at the end of the show but I'm hoping they also show a recap of it in a future episode.

I posted this in the Christmas Blossoms thread, but I figured that I can post it here, too... It's not Egg Nog, but I certainly enjoy it much better!

Saw it in the stores for the first time this year... I don't eat Rice Krispies often, but of course I will make the exception for the red and green Holiday Rise Krispies. They just taste better!

Ahhh, Halloween is over! I hate to admit it but I'm not a big Halloween fan. On to Thanksgiving and Christmas! Hope the next 2 months go sloooowly.

I agree!!!!!! The slower the better!!!

Good evening! Hope you all had a great Tuesday! Work day is done! Woo woo! At lunch I turned on Christmas music, changed my (wooden) calendar from October to November, took down Halloween decs, put up Thanksgiving decs & then found the tv schedule for Hallmark this weekend! Christmas movies ALL weekend! YES!!!

MsChristmas - good luck tomorrow! I'm sure everything will go just fine! Take care of yourself & that cold!

Brent - great find on the Christmas Rice Krispies! What a good sight!

CAH - glad your cousins surgery went well. That's scary!

Have a great night! I'm getting ready to eat supper...chicken breast on the grill since it is (was) 60º today!

I hate being without my laptop!

I'm hoping that the customer service rep I talked to was right and the warranty department will turn it around in 24 hours. That means I should get it back next monday if they use 2 day shipping like the prepaid label they sent me. The good thing is that it will be one less distraction as I'm trying to get my fall cleaning done this week.

My house smells CHRISTMASSY!!!! I went and picked up furnace filters and they had these gel insert thingys and i found two pine scented ones. WOW it is smelling up my whole house with piney scent. I also picked up a mistletoe candle at Kmart. I MIGHT be setting our Christmas deco up this week and over the weekend. We spent this past weekend at the beach where hubby had meetings most of Saturday and part of Sunday. He got elected into eldership at the church. I am happy for him but there is alot involved, but he will do it. We are looking into fostering and adoption processes for NC. Should begin that in February at the latest. I am sorry I have not stopped in but things have been super busy around here.
I also have two new critters. Hermit crabs with the names of Mork and Mindy (DH named them LOL) next two we get are gunna be Fred and Ethel.
Mom in law is doing better but gets winded and wore out easily, but she is getting back to more herself each day. I am finally bounced back from my nasty cold which took three weeks to kick completely.
Well Christmas Crazies (myself included LOL) I am off to have a cup of Bavarian Berry Tea and curl up with DH to watch something on tv, not sure what yet but something.:busy:

.....I think my Christmas Spirit of the season is starting to rub off on some people. They are realizing that deep down they really want to enjoy the SEASON of CHRISTMAS more than just focusing on Christmas being just a DAY Long. Well if I can convert one person over to our side of enjoying the season and not just a day, I will be happy.....
You understand! You understand!
The entire philosophy behind the reason I started the Season count so many years ago!

Well my niece's were pretty good today. We only fought about how much candy they were allowed to eat before their mother got home and that was solved by simply putting their pumpkins on top of the fridge. I also ran by walmart this morning and bought some candy to make Christmas cookies with. I got M&M's, Kisses, and the miniature Peanut butter cups. You can't beat $1.25 a bag. Well I'm off to relax a little before heading to bed.

So fun to see some of you Christmas crazies posting about putting up Christmas decorations! LOVE IT!

Britt - your posts were cracking me up today! Sounds like a FUN day!

Hello, everyone---

xmas365, are you okay out west there? Did you lose your electricity?

We only got a couple inches of snow that all melted today, but we've been without electricity since 4 a.m. It was sunny today, so we set up card tables in the front room where it was bright, put batteries in the CD player, put on some Christmas music, and wrapped some Christmas presents. Then we went out to get a hot meal. There were two or three utility trucks working next to the highway near us. We went through some neighborhoods that were fine, but others the traffic lights were out. The restaurant was super-busy with other power-less people getting a good meal. When we got home the utility trucks were STILL working, so we hung out for a while to see if the lights would come back on. By 6:30 it was dark and the house temp was down to 63, with the outdoor temps due to go down into the 20s tonight, so we thought we'd better spend the night out. (The utility trucks were STILL working.) We snagged the very last available room at the motel where we are now, and it was heaven to walk into a warm (actually, rather overheated) room where we can get a hot shower and lights.

Mr. is planning to stay home tomorrow, but I'll be going in to work. We'll have to throw out everything in the fridge, 'cause the power's been off over 15 hours; sadly, it was well stocked. I'm hoping the power comes back on before the stuff in the freezer is a loss too---it should be good for 24 to 36 hours, which would be tomorrow afternoon.

I know we're better off than the folks who lost their electricity AND got a foot of snow, but I'm tired and discouraged. At least we have a comfortable room to spend the night in, at a reasonable rate. We're even close enough to home that if we've forgotten anything, we can drive over and get it.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, MC, but glad to hear you weren't without power for too long. Hope you guys are doing well now!

Happy Halloween!!! I slept crummy but never got out of bed until 4am. I just woke up every hour on the hour and the phone rang at 230 and scared me to death, wrong number of course. But I always think the worst when that happens. anyway I think we are going to have cloudy skies today which is the perfect halloween forecast if you ask me! I have to go back and read any new posts after I logged out last night... have a good morning everyone!

You know what I think this sleep deprivation is - a woman's body does this during pregnancy to prepare herself for the coming of the baby. Maybe your body is doing it too - hahaha :)

had time to catch up on the countdown. i'm praying for all of you in the way of the snow/ice storm. please be careful!
well, nothing great here to mention.....broken water line, clothes dryer went out, wet clothes to take to my parents house to dry, microwave out, have a small backup one, need to get someone to fix water line. yikes!!! this of course is my only day off.

happy monday

So sorry to hear about all your troubles as well too! Hope you get everything worked out soon!

Days to the End of Daylight Savings Time: 6
(Hey! Another hour to sleep

Yes Crown...for some of us, this means an extra hour that he or she has to work too that night (like me!) Ugh...thanks for reminding me! :)

Hi Christmas family! So sorry I've been absent from the countdown the past couple of days. I'm getting caught up - I'm on yesterday days posts and I'm off work tomorrow, so I'll get caught up tomorrow. Nothing is really new here. We ended up with 5.5 inches of snow here in my part of Pa. We never lost power. People around me did, but we didn't, thank goodness.

Hope everyone had a wonderful and scary Halloween! My family had a great time! It was EA's first Halloween that she really understood, so it was a lot of fun!

Well, I work tonight at 11. I've got to go lay down and try to take a nap. I hope you're all doing well. Hope you all have a great night. Talk to you all tomorrow!

Morning. Just had a shower and i am feeling fresh and energized. To be honest, i haven't been feeling all that confident lately. Only because i have been breaking out. My forehead is clear, but my cheeks aren't so clear. I am sure that everybody on here has had acne before and it's not fun. My acne isn't that bad. Although, i tend to get a little self concious about it. Good thing is that it isn't that noticable and i don't even acknowledge it whenever i'm outside. I got told to leave it alone, drink plenty of water and i should be good to go in about a week or so. Catch you later.

A house down the street has their Christmas lights up---white lights on the shrubbery and around the front windows. Mr. said they probably put it up to make it safe for the trick-or-treaters---but I pointed out that they weren't on last night. Nope, they're Christmas lights all right!
