Good afternoon, Christmas Family

Just stopping by super quick to say hello. Gotta start work in 9 minutes !

I hope everyone is feeling well and for those who are not I hope you feel better soon ! I am also very worked about Gabulldawg.....Thinking of you Neal and praying xo

I am getting kind of anxious about Saturday and (hopefully) the arrival of my new furkid, Lola. Even though I have raised many furchildren, I am always nervous when a new one comes into my life.....I just want to be a good pet parent for her......My sister saw her and I guess she only weighs like 5 pounds and is 4 months old......I know my older guys will love her and my Chihuhua, Ivy, who is older wil be so happy because there is a "new kid" to boss around !! xo

I am planning on putting up my nativity scene Friday......I have a lot more animals to find room for !! xo

Have a good afternoon Christmas family xo

((HUGS)) to all xo

I am worried about Dawg too. I hope all is well.

It's amazing how we all don't really know each other, yet we all care so much for each other. I cannot stop thinking about Dawg, I check back a few times an hour when I can to see if there is any word on how he is doing.

Hoping for the best, friend.

I'm with all of you who are worrying about gabulldawg and his parents. Let's try to think positive. I hope he can update us soon.

B105.7 In Indianapolis has a poll up on when they should switch to all Christmas music. So everyone go vote for- What are you waiting for?

http://www.b1057.com/

Made, it looks like the majority want Christmas music now! =)

A clear majority---nearly 48% now for "What are you waiting for?" The other 52% is split among the other choices.

My prayers are on the way.

i will be praying for ya'll!

Thanks everyone! I know he will do great!

Evening. Exams are over and I am over the moon. I have been jumping for joy. Going to pop on The Santa Clause and I am happy to say that it'll be my first Christmas movie this year. Catch you later.

Congrats! I hope the exams went well for you!

what's this about this saturday? someone fill me in on it.

i was wondering about saturday to ??? have a good day merry

It's when we are all going to be gathered on here to celebrate the start of the season. Hope you can all attend! :!!

Just stopping in to say hi to everyone. I was on vacation last week

Welcome back!

My neighbor wrote back and said she might go digging in her attic and get some lawn decorations and Christmas lights out. We have lived here 8 years and they have never decorated. I offered to help them if needed. I have been wanting someone else besides us to decorate. The more lights on the block the BETTER!!!

Looks like you're rubbing off on her, CAH! That's great news! Spread the Christmas spirit to as many people as you can. That's what we're to do, right?

It's amazing how we all don't really know each other, yet we all care so much for each other. I cannot stop thinking about Dawg, I check back a few times an hour when I can to see if there is any word on how he is doing.

Hoping for the best, friend.

I know what you mean, Xmas. I have been praying and thinking about him a lot. All we can all do is think positive thoughts, like Undertaker said.

Just stopping in to say hi to everyone. I was on vacation last week and tried to stay offline. Just decompressing and staycationing at home. Now I'm back at work and keeping a positive attitude.

It really is the best time of the year. I wish it would slow down and last forever even though I know it cannot.

That sounds so relaxing... Sometimes it is nice to take a step back and leave all the "tech" stuff behind too. But, glad to see you back!!!

I feel the same way, I cannot believe it is 11/8!!! Time PLEASE slow down!!!

Good morning,

Great post ChristmasStar!

Just eating breakfast before I head out to do some errands and start decorating. The boys are at school, and it is tempting to go back to sleep, but got to keep the eye on the prize.

Brent-looks like the Bruins have turned it around, hopefully your Kings will soon also.

Have a Christmassy day!

Start decorating... I just LOVE the way that sounds!!! I worked a little on my light last night. Today it is 71 degrees, I am not joking!!! I will be outside working on the lights... You will get no complaints out of me... Decorating while it is 71 degrees, yeah, I am not complaining too many times I have been out there and it was only 22 degrees!!!

Good morning, everyone!

Once again 'Star did not disappoint. What a fantastic way to begin our special posts. I did not think it was possible, but such a literary gem has me even more excited for the Christmas Season to begin! Only four more days - and four more special posts - remain before we chime in our favourite Season!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas - I wish. The wonderful lyrics are certainly not true in Ottawa. Above average temperatures and sunny skies have allowed plenty of yellow leaves to remain on the trees in Ottawa. With today's temperatures, it is highly unlikely to change. We are currently at 4c (39F). But, today's highs are to reach 12c (54F). Tomorrow it is supposed to be even warmer - perhaps a new all-time high for November 9th!? 17c (63F). Where are you, Christmas, indeed.

Temperatures seem to settle down and then pick back up again next week... Hopefully the extended 14-day forecast is correct - the latter portion of next week should bring seasonal, near freezing, temperatures!

After my workout, last night was relaxing. I watched the Bruins vs. Islanders hockey game and then the first period of the Kings vs. Sharks. The Kings lost again. They are slumping badly. Need to right that ship somehow.

Well, lots of work today - at least for now. I should really get to it. Only five more days until the Season! And, one more day until Binger marvels us all with his very own special post!

Have a great Tuesday, everyone! We are one more day closer to the Christmas Season. Can't wait for tomorrow... Our final visit to the 'Pines before we usher in the Christmas Season! How exciting!!

I am so excited too, I loved the post by CS too... Our weather has been crazy too. We hit a high of 71 today!!! Crazy!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had a widely-attended city council meeting last night to discuss our little post office. The USPS is planning to close it at the end of the year, and they just told us about it last week. After some research, we found that the USPS might support what known as a "Village Post Office". USPS allows a local business (in this case, my father-in-law) to maintain the post office, and the local route carrier would be responsible for sorting the mail every morning. There would be fewer services; no specialty shipping. Stamps and "If It Fits, It Ships" boxes only. But at least we'd be able to keep our mailing addresses and our zip code. I think it'll work.

We're also making plans to start putting up the Christmas banners and pole lights in town. Exciting!

I hope y'all have a great day!

Wow, that is so cool, I never knew a Post Office could effect a town so much. I hope it all works out for you.

How exciting the lights and the banners!!! YAY!!!!

My neighbor just sent me an email wondering when my outside Christmas lights are going up. She said she is has been thinking about it and can't wait to see them. I am glad that we make our neighbor happy by putting out the decorations and lights. =)

We don't have anything extravagant but on our side of the block no one decorates except us.
nice when the neighbours get excited about your decorations!

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great day! First and foremost, I would like to thank Christmasstar for her lovely and heartfelt post. What a great way to jump start the season. Thanks for the early Christmas present!

Secondly, Dawg, know that we are still praying and thinking of you, Brandi, your parents, and your entire family. Take as much time as you need, but please check in when you can!

Well, it's been a pretty lousy day for me so far. I am off tonight, so I slept until about 1. DH got me up and told me Penn State is basically forcing Joe Paterno to retire. This story has made national news for people here in the US. If you don't know what I am talking, maybe it's better you don't. If you want to know and don't know what I am talking about, google, Jerry Sandusky. Anyway though, Jerry Sandusky, an old PSU football is being charged with child abuse, which I do believe he did with the allegiations that are being brought against him and now because of everything that is going, poor Joe has to retire. He is old, in his 80's, so he needs to. We all knew it was coming, but no one really wanted it to. I just wish he would have did it a couple of years ago when it was good terms! If any of you watch college football and I know V does, you would understand what JoePa means to college football. He has 409 wins. He will truly be missed. :-(

This evening, DH, the kids, and I are going to the mall to Hallmark and out to eat. I want to pick up some ornaments and those recordable storybooks for the kids.

Well, I hope you're all having a great day. I will be checking back in!

Does that mean you would be able to read all the postcards before the recipients??? Haha!

Ooooo! I hadn't thought of that!

We're not Mayberry, NC, but it's pretty close to it. Probably half the town meets to shoot the breeze in front of the post office while getting their mail, especially on Saturday morning. I love a small town!

And, yes, I'm ready to get the banners and lights up, too! We're meeting Saturday to check the lights and get all the bulbs working before we have them put on the poles. It sounds like work, but I love it!

That sounds like so much fun though! You must be proud that you are able to be part of doing such great things. Where I live with my husband now, we live in a "bigger" city now and I don't even know all the neighbors on my street. It's so sad. Growing up, I knew almost all the people in my town back home. I particpated in things and had a lot of fun in the town where lived. It's just not the same here. We def. would not live here if it weren't for his job.

Just voted for "What are you waiting for?" it is now up to 52.2%. The MCC family has got your back Made.

Hello Pals,

I went back into the posts and I couldn't find the one from GA BullDawg to see what you are all wishing him well about. I don't want to appear insensitive, but I must have missed reading that post. Either way, he is a HUGE part of the Christmas family, and I hope all is well. Everyone is worried about him, so I am worried too. I will keep positive thoughts and send prayers up for him.

I'm hoping the sudden increase in voting can actually get them to change it!!!!

I hope so, for your sake. Do you know if there is anywhere that I can research to find any places in my area playing Christmas music on the radio? My direct tv isn't even playing it yet. :x I don't know when they will change over either.
