Morning friends! Hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas season after the first visit to the Pines!

Been on the run this week, basketball games are consuming a lot of my time, and will for the next 4 school nights...then it will slow down for me as my rotation in the duty passes to someone else for a short while.

Bout to head out and get the day started, but I just wanted to tell all of you hello! Hope to see everyone tonight, but it might be Saturday due to traveling to games.....until then....Merry Christmas!
have a great day!

I am just getting WAY TOO excited that Thanksgiving is next week!!! We will have 3 straight days of celebrating! Thanksgiving with the family, Black Friday (no shopping but enjoy the Christmas entertainment at the malls) and Saturday chill in front of the tv for a marathon of Christmas shows and movies! It will feel like a 3 day Christmas party!
we here look forward to watching the Macy's parade...they actually let Canadians watch it live!

Hi Christmas family! Sorry I've kind of been MIA the past day or so, but I've been so busy and I've hardly had any sleep. I've only been getting 4 hours or so, then getting a hour before going to work, so needless to say, I haven't had much time for on here.

Not much to report here. We had DS at the Peds doctor on Monday. He weighed 16 lbs 7 oz. He just turned 4 months on the 8th. He is a big boy! He is healthy though, so that's all that matters to me.

YAY!!! 16 lbs way too sweet... HAPPY 4 months little one!!! Hope you get to rest a little on your day off.

Been a long one for me today, the electrician and his crew finished up the rewiring today, house is still a mess from the work but been working cleaning up and putting things back in place this evening. I did get a new outlet put outside per advice of RJD, looking forward to using it for Christmas lights! It will come in handy too next summer to recharge my weedtrimmer too!

Good for you!!! I am glad the work has moved along, the mess you will have under control in no time!!!

Wow! These Fired Twinkies are really good!

OMG NOW THIS MADE ME LOL!!!! Love this picture!!! Too much!!!

Oh and I just passed 12k posts....can't believe I talk that much!

Wooo Hoooo... Congrats!!!! I just passed 10K and I only looked at it after your post, so I guess I must talk a lot too!!! HA, HA, HA!!!!

I feel the same way!!! I am WAY excited, this year we are going to have a little reading on Sarah J. Hale, I cannot wait... This is like the BEST!!! We put the tree up Friday and my village, my outside is almost done..... Ahhhhhh, love and joy!!!!!!!!

I really didn't want to get out of bed, just wanted to throw the covers over my head, rest, and watch Christmas movies all day!

Our company Holiday Party is the week before Christmas this year. Our company always sponsor a charity or school, we make a generous donation, as well as volunteer our time. It's really quite wonderful. One year, we went to a low income school and did crafts with the kids, read books to them, and a friend of mine played Santa-it made their day! They all wrote a letter to Santa, and we each sponsored a child to try & make that wish come true. To see their eyes light up like that was truly amazing. I think I have a picture from that day somewhere, if I find it I'll post it

Snowflake, I sure hope you beat this cold soon!!!

What a lovely idea for a Company Christmas party!!! What a wonderful thing to do for the little ones.

YAY!!! I am so glad you get to enjoy the Parade!!! One year when I lived in NYC, I was a balloon handler!!! YAY!!! It was super awesome!!!

******* CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 5 *******

I was there first thing in the morning yesterday and talked him into letting me do his hair! he sure does not know how to sit still, but it eventually got done, just took a whole can of mouse.....
Oh, Carl is full of surprises. One of the things that make him so interesting (not to mention entertaining)!

A coolish, wet Good Morning to you all from the capital city!

Yes, it's been raining and our temp stands at a much cooler than yesterday 52.
The weather service says it will not warm up at all today and will drop down into the low 30's tonight.
Brrrrr!

Well, we may not be able to count on the weather, but we can always count on this:
Days To Thanksgiving Day: 7 (ONE WEEK from TODAY!)
Days to Christmas Day: 38 (Under 5 1/2 weeks!)
Really closing in on Thanksgiving now, Friends.
(Got your dinner planned? Yum! Yum!)

A fine time was had by all at the 'Pines yesterday.
Carl was in great form as always, and weren't the seasonal decorations nice?
(I got my free Indian corn ear, of course!)
Now NEXT Wednesday, the last open house before Thanksgiving, should REALLY be something to behold!

As you contemplate that exciting thought, have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone!

Just looking at the weather,it looks like NC SC and North GA got slammed with tornadoes,I hope al our neighbours in those areas are okay! Crown and mgramsey are in those areas I think and a few others !

Am I too late for the pines!? I always come to the party too late....insomnia be dammed!!!! I went to sleep at 730 and woke up in a thunderstorm at 9! I tried on my dress clothes for the visitation and funeral the next 2 days and My pants don't fit so I have to take them back in the morning..I always use to wear 32 waist 32 legnth but now the last few years that is too long..guess I am shrinking! I bought some candles that smell like apple cinnimon and boy they are smelling the whole house up...poor brandi says it's making her want to throw up though:( I think it smells good. Have a good night everyone!
Whew! That storm almost blew Bellville off the map!!

Now that I can't wait for...I will be in rare form next Weds night...I may need a driver home!

Good morning, everyone!

Happy fifth day of the Christmas Season! It is much cooler in Ottawa than yesterday. We were in the mid 50s yesterday morning and today, we are just above the freezing mark (1c/34F).

The forecast is calling for snow this afternoon and evening. Although some people in the area have claimed to have seen fluttering snow about a week ago, we haven't received any in my end of town, so I am hoping to experience my first snowfall of the season... Usually, we have had at least a little something before mid-November. Unfortunately, other than today, there does not appear to be any snow in the forecast. Disappointing!

I don't have a whole lot to say as of yet. I'll return and post some more later. I think I should get started on some work. Have a great Thursday, everyone! One more work day left until the weekend! Merry Christmas! :)

Whew! That storm almost blew Bellville off the map!!

Yep I was going to ask you how it was there...we had 10 minutes of strong winds, heavy rain, but it thundered and lightening for hours! Cool weather is on the way if only for 2 days but I will take what I can get!

Thanks for your concern. We are fine here. We had over an inch of rain but no severe storms. The tornadoes were east and south of us. Supposed to have a low of 25 tonight. I love cold weather.

If you plan on coming to the NC mountains, better watch the roads. Our son just turned 16 and has his driver's license. It is a tough time, can't believe our quickly he has grown up.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Yes, it got rough here last night. I didn't even know it was coming. I was fishing leaves out of the pool till dark. After that storm, the pool is COVERED OVER in pecan leaves. LOL!

The tree guy called my mom, and he is planing to harvest her pecans today, so I'm taking the afternoon off to go over there and work. Hopefully, we can get most of her pecans to the market today.

In other news, as mgramsey pointed out a few days ago, SiriusXM is playing Christmas music! I was listening to Andy Williams on my way to work this morning! I LOVE IT!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Glad to hear you didn't have any trouble with the weather last night. A low of 25 tonight?! I think it'll be 62 here tonight...LOL.

I don't have a 16 year old yet, my son just turned 14. But he told his mom yesterday about the pretty blonde-haired girl in one of his classes. Oh my! How did we get to this point?! He should still be into Buzz Lightyear and wearing Scooby-Doo pajamas! Help me, Lord!

I'm with you. I would give my left arm to make him 10 years younger. Our son is a good kid and is a good driver, at least when I am with him, but we still worry. We just try to cover him with prayer. He is quite active in the youth group at church and is an officer in Fellowship of Christian Athletes at school. We thank God he was able to attend a Christian school through the 7th grade and seems to be well grounded. My dad gave him a 1995 Oldsmobile so he has plenty of steel around him...

We are grateful y'all are made it through the storms ok.

Good News: I did a buttload of packing this morning--including spending over 30 minutes organizing my meds.

Not-so-good News: I still want to throttle my insurance company/OBGYN. I came to work with a message waiting for me from my OBGYN telling me that I don't have said medicine on my file. MY BUTTOCKS!! So I FINALLY called them at 8:30, specifically told them WHO originally put the order through blah blah..."oh! there it is" (ya think?!)

Said nurse said she'll call me to tell me what the insurance company says. God I hope it goes through but NOW I can't possible get it until TOMORROW after work!!

I know that if "worst comes to worst" I can always get it at the Publix pharmacy down in Tampa but I really don't want to do that. :-(

I have run into the same thing with trying to find pants that are the right length, I wonder what standard (if any) some of these clothing companies use! Depending on the brand sometimes a 32 length is perfect, sometimes its too long, sometimes a 30 length is perfect other brands they look like flood pants lol. I gave up ordering pants online or buying any based on what size its supposed to be, because there is no way to tell if they really fit till you try them on sadly.
