I'm sooooooo excited! I just got the list for the Christmas Card exchange! Its gonna be so much fun to write Christmas Cards to everyone!!! I am going to start this weekend! YA! :busy:

Its finally FRIDAY...one day closer to CHRISTMAS!!! :sparkle:

Mind you...I want to savour very single moment of the Christmas season - so I don't want it to go by too fast!

this weekend i'm watching the iceskating championships in Tsjeljabinsk, hopefully the dutch will work their magic my hero, Sven Kramer (who had such an awful mistake while he was skating the fastest time in the Olympics on the 10k) is recovered from an injury, so we will not expect him winning already, but it will be great seeing him skate again!
Any one else into iceskating?

Hi everyone! Getting ready to head to bed. I am slowly getting caught up, but still haven't as of yet. The class I took this evening was very informational. It was on how to stabilize a newborn if needing to transfer to another hospital. I am glad I went.

I'm very tired now though. I go back tomorrow night at 11. I have a lot to do tomorrow, as DH does as well, so I will be on here tomorrow off and on.

riously going to email QVC and complain about Jim Shore always being on in the middle of the night anymore. Some of us need to get our sleep and can't stay up all night to see all of the new items.

good a.m. ya'll. yaay it's friday! got lots to do over the weekend.

mama & daddy are still immobile. mama has 2 more weeks that she can't walk on her foot @ all & my daddy goes for an MRI this a.m. & then back to the doc the monday after th.giving. daddy was in alot of pain yesterday & mama's about to go stir crazy not being able to do anything. my sil has been doing all that's been done as she lives there. anyhoo this weekend she & i are going to clean their house top to bottom for the big turkey day &then do a touch up on wednesday before my sister & bil get in. they've gotta pretty big house to clean for just 1 person (& cleaning behind 5 adults that live there.) i'm doing it for mama though, when her house is clean she feels better & she's the 1 that always does it but due to circumstance. anyhoo please pray for my parents.
think i'm gonna make my pies this weekend but need to know, can you freeze sweet potato pies & pumpkin pies? i don't want to mess them up.

My wife was sensitive to certain scents when she was pregnant with #2, on of my favorite foods, Buffalo wings, was the worst for her, so I went months without eating them until after LC was born.

You didn't sneak around and eat them out in your car? etc? I can say at least I have not have to give up any foods...but..I really have been gone most of these 9 months overseas,I just got back the beginning of last month..so far it's sweet smells and vanilla candles!

Good FRIDAY morning my Christmas family!

Friday finally! So. Down to my topic for today. I live in London Ontario Canada. We are a snow belt region. Just about everyone I know that lives here is complaining about snow. Why? We are in a snow belt region. Ill give that a Kermit "Sheesh!". hah. Tomorrow we take William (2 years old) to see Santa. He is pretty excited to go see him (but I am more! hah!). I always have a little chat with Santa. Very very nice guy. Ill post pictures as soon as I get them. I heard my 3rd Christmas song on the radio yesterday. Why are they not playing 100% on the radio here. I can't find one single station that is. Detroit is playing them, but sadly since I am no longer living in Windsor I cant get the stations. It wont allow me to get them on the internet either. I do have one station running out of CA I think and there is MMCR too! I love love love MMCR2. Nice quality as well. Ash went and saw Twilight last night. She brought me home some popcorn. Nothing like movie popcorn! mmmmmm! I'm going to watch Christmas with the Kranks this weekend. Love that movie. Speaking of that. I would love to see a Christmas Vacation 3. Get everyone back to the Grizwolds house for another insane Christmas. Chevy hasn't lost his touch for comedy either. Well back to work I go. Hope everyone has a great Friday!!! Hope all my American friends are having a blast getting ready for Thanksgiving next week!

The tree is only 4.5 feet tall. Kim and I use it until we both return home to our families for Christmas. It serves its purpose very well!

Well it kept snowing today and stopped about an hour ago... You'd think we'd have tons but unfortunately it's super wet snow which equals melted</3 hahaha

Sorry 'bout that Britt... No snow here in fact today is the first day I woke up to frost we have been in a real warm tend, today will only be a high of 48, yet 2 days ago it was 71!?!?!?! CRAZY!!!!

Sorry about this you two... V - I am not sure what is going on but take a step back, take a deep breath, and decompress for a few minutes, maybe while you are in the shower... It can help sometimes... I hope you get through this trouble.

Britt... Same goes for you too!!! When we go, go, go like that and do not ever take time for ourselves without realizing it we ware ourselves out... Take a minute or two... Deep breath, clear your mind... Let everything go you two.. Even if foe a few minutes, it won't solve your troubles but it will help right your minds... We are all thinking of you two... We had a sprinkle of snow last night.

I was listening to a news cast the other day a comment by the woman doing the news caught my attention...she said "There are stores and homes already decorated with lights on for Christmas...can you believe it!!"
All I could think of was DUH! and is she sure she is in the right job if she is so out of touch with what is going on?

I was so tired yesterday and then last night when I got finished I didn't even come to the site. I had supper and went to bed. Still really tired today too but this is my Friday.

I know that feeling of being tired! I have been feeling totally exhausted all week! I hope you feel better today.

I hope i will be able to get my work a bit organized before christmas, because it's stressful right now, having just started a new education, not entirely sure what they expect from me... i just want to do every thing right, but still have time to enjoy this time of the year! any de-stressing, improve enjoying tips?

Mom has also said she wants to continue our annual Black Friday tradition of taking the grandchildren to Fantasy of Trees. She can walk without assistance, but she'll take the walker to keep other people away from her fragile knees & for extra support while walking around the convention center.

That sounds like fun! Good idea for your mom to take the walker. I hope you all have a good time!

A rainy, dark Thursday ... I'm champing at the bit for my workday to end. I'm taking tomorrow off---a personal pre-Christmas day. I'm going to be busy packing up crocheted winter hats for the homeless shelter, wrapping and packaging Christmas gifts, writing Christmas cards, looking for a table to use as a base for my 2nd Christmas tree, shopping for a new hand mixer for holiday baking, and/or working on a podcast segment (the same one I've been busy with, but the end is in sight). If it gets too hectic, I will just chuck it all to watch a Christmas movie and crochet ...

How nice of you to help the homeless.

I ended up sleeping most of the afternoon, which I shouldn't have done since it is my day off, but I was tired since I haven't been getting much sleep and since I haven't been getting much sleep, now my cold is coming back.

I never regret taking a nap. If you slept most of the afternoon it's because you needed it! Take care of yourself and listen to your body, if you need sleep, go for it! =)

I had intended to update all of you on the happenings in my part of the world the last week +, but I'm not sure if I will...

I have been really depressed and stressed out lately. Working two retail jobs has really taken a toll on me, and nothing seems to be able to bring me out of it. I can't even listen to Christmas music!! Customers at both jobs have been ruder than I ever remember in my many years of retail work; my boss at Kohl's has been relentless, there are never enough hours at work to do everything, not to mention that our weekends and weekdays are so filled with other things that there never seems to be any time to relax. There is a lot more going on but I feel like I am really bringing this down with only this little bit of info so I guess I will stop. If you have any Christmas spirit left, can you please send some my way? I would really appreciate it. I don't like feeling this way around this time of year.

I am still behind on the Countdown, but tomorrow is going to be a slow day for me so I should be able to catch up.

Speaking of being out of touch with reality,I have been for 2 weeks now....I have already forgotten when the heck am I suppose to take out the turkey to thaw in the fridge...if it thaws at 5 pounds a day in the fridge and it's 20 pounds that means 4 days which would be sunday,I was thinking saturday for some reason.

Last night at the funeral home I cried like a baby and barely knew the lady I was more friends with her son,BUT I think it was pent up issues with my own parents mortality in the last few weeks,but the funeral home had a video playing on loop the whole time with songs and photo's of her and her family through out the years and I totally broke down and made a fool out of myself. So now I have the funeral at 2pm and then I am going to crash.....one thing it made me do was go home and call my folks and tell them I love them...The know I do,and I know they do...but we hardly say it that was the way I was brought up so I have a hard time saying it,but I am trying!!

Yes there is a 2. I liked it. Most don't. Its Christmas Vacation 2 : Cousin Eddies Island Adventure. For Christmas Cousin Eddie gets stuck on an island.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!!!! We are off to a chilly start here in central Indy where we currently stand at 28 degrees. We are supposed to warm up into the high 40's though. Hopefully the wind doesn't pick up again and I can get my outside decorations up. The first thing I have to do though is run to the store and get some bread.
