Christmas Countdown - 2011

Hello Christmas family!!!

Today was another nice, relaxing day. =) We got together with our friends and went to Hoss's...I think sugar mentioned this before but it's a buffet style restaurant around our part of PA and we love it!! DF goes overboard with the ice cream but he loves it so with all the different toppings...almost like a little kid in a candy store! =p We went to Target and even though I told myself not to, I bought another box of Christmas cards. I have Christmas cards to last the next few years but I just couldn't resist!! We then watched some football, Thor in 3D (our friends just bought a 3D tv, second couple of our friends in the last month), the last part of a Christmas movie on ABC Family, then DF and I FINALLY went to the grocery store to get some food! lol I am really excited in a super nerdy way because I bought chocolate peppermint cookie mix and found a coupon book!!! Seriously, I have looked EVERYWHERE for a coupon book and I never saw one until today! I didn't even care how much it was...I'm just excited to not have to carry them around in my pocketbook only secured with a paperclip and not getting all messed up!!! I told you it would sound super nerdy. =p

Now I'm watching the Giants play the Eagles and hoping the G-men pull out a win!!! They are losing 10-3 right now and it is hard to watch!!

I told you it would sound super nerdy. =p

These days it is using your money wisely...save anywhere you can I say. So I guess that would make a lot of us "nerdy" eh.

Well anyway, no Thanksgiving for me this week, but the first advent sunday will be soon.

Bought myself a Ebook reader last saturday! Finally I can buy as many books I want, without worrying were to put them!

Just got back from a surprise 11th birthday party for our daughter. She and Nancy have been in Daytona Beach, FL this weekend at Dance Camp. I'm glad they're home (finally!) on her birthday.

Well it looks like QVC is pretty much done with the christmas decorating shows. There is only 1 scheduled for this week and it is on at 4am next saturday morning.

Booooooooo! I just can't seem to get enough of these shows. =)

Do they at least have the holiday food shows? I like those too.

Coupons and saving money anytime I can is the only way to live! I tend to shop around until I get the absolute best deal. I have never been an impulsive shopper and will hold off buying something until it's on sale unless it is something I need right away, that doesn't happen too often.

It is going to be a very good day for me! I WILL NOT BE TIRED, I WILL NOT BE TIRED, I WILL NOT BE TIRED! Ha ha! I got a lot to do today no time for being TIRED!

Anyway, I am off work from my job and babysitting. My son-in-law is off work today so he will be home with my grandchildren. I plan to get a lot done to prepare for Thanksgiving.

Wayne got some cleaning done while I was at work yesterday. He is such a sweetie. He has seen how tired I have been lately. He gave me a hug yesterday and told me to take it easy that he will help with whatever I need. I am not one to give a "honey do" list. I know he works hard throughout the week and like for him to rest when he can. He has always helped out with chores but I just don't like to ask too much more from him. He never expects me to work my rear end off either and reminds me that he is there to help out so I just need to ASK! He is such a blessing in my life!

Today will be chilly and rainy so I plan to switch from Christmas music and movies to listen to while I bake and get things done around here. I love this kind of weather to do baking!
