So warm here you would think it is September and not late November. Kids wearing T shirts and shorts,, flowers are blooming.. doesn't feel very seasonal...

Saturday we were driving around with the car windows down. It is starting to cool off now though.

Days to Christmas Day: 27 (Now UNDER four weeks!)

Next-to-the-last warm morning here, where we stand at a wonderfully walkable 64 degrees at this hour.
Should be about the same tomorrow, then we crash into the Seasonably Sensible 30's.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!! We are supposed to reach the upper 40's today here in central Indy. That is still above normal for this time of year. I still have some cleaning to do today and then I'm going to do some more shopping. I've checked some of the cyber monday sales out but I didn't see anything on my list. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday ... it's hard getting back into harness after a four-day holiday weekend! But I'm taking a day off Friday, so I have that to look forward to. I'll probably put up and decorate the tree(s).

I've been told about a BIG job coming in that has to be finished before Christmas. Wish me luck that it doesn't run into overtime and weekends ... not during the Christmas season, please!

By the way.......Has anyone seen those white Coke cans at any of the stores....you know the ones to help the polar bears ?? I have looked a few places and I can't find them.....

Yes, our supermarket has the white cans and the white bottle caps. There is also a TV commercial about the promotion.

@ CM3---yes! I have seen the polar bear coke bottles! they are everywhere down here! I have not seen thier xmas 2011 bottles though! when are they coming out? I like the polar bear ones though,they look christmassy too!

We found the glass bottles with Santa on them in our area. Wish we could get 'em by the case! Coke in the glass bottles tastes better, somehow.

It is so weird but complain not me... It feels like September here too, but no leaves, I have these Tiger Lily blubs and they all have little sprouts and my roses are still blooming here. We have been hitting record temps here. Crazy we were at 66 degrees on Sat and 65 on Sunday today another high of 65.

We will not see "normal" temp until maybe Sat, will see. Mind you I could get use to putting up my Christmas Lights outside in almost 70 degree temps!!!! It was awesome!!!

Today hopefully ends the warm weather. The forecast is for us to get a lot of rain today and tonight then turn to light snow tomorrow night. We love cold weather and are happy to see the warm weather leave. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was very good plus we got the tree up and our home decorated.
We only have dial-up internet in our part of the county so I can't really visit this site at home. That limits my number of posts but I certainly enjoy this site when I can visit. Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning Everyone! I hope everyone had a good weekend! I have my Advent Wreath decorated and on my dining room table. I used Juniper, mostly--it smells really, really good!

Well, two days at work, then very early Wednesday morning, I'm on a plane to Ohio. I did a lot of my packing yesterday, despite being in the third day of a wicked stomach bug. I'm hoping that it'll have run its course by the time I get on the plane! I'm looking forward to seeing my family, especially my granddaughters, no matter what the circumstances.

So is anyone taking advantage of Cyber Monday? Any good deals?

Good afternoon, everyone!

Looks like I missed a little bit of fun this weekend. Surprisingly, I was very busy this weekend. Kim and I attended a Christmas Crafts show, saw Santa Claus and two malls (I swear that the big guy follows me wherever I go!) and visited some friends on Saturday night. Yesterday was spent relaxing. A true Sunday! ...Oh, and we saw The Muppets on Friday night, too. What a fantastic film! I may have already mentioned it, but it was such an enjoyable movie. I laughed plenty!

Plenty of rain in the forecast for the next few days. How I wish it were snow! At least the temperatures are closer to seasonal now. Speaking of seasonal, the Season is in full swing and we are almost into December! Excitingly, this marks the fact that I have three full work weeks left until Christmas! I am very excited to return home and see family. My mom and I spoke of a few things last night and we were both ready for our Christmas to begin!

Well, I hope everyone in the U.S. had a safe and happy Thanksgiving celebration. At least there is now less than a month until Christmas. The most wonderful time of the year! Have a great Monday, everyone!

I am saying good night, too. I am exhausted after cooking today. We have such good leftovers. Hubby's cousin just happened to stop by to deliver some plywood, so he was able to enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner today. I have physical therapy tomorrow morning, then I will start working in the afternoons. I am not sure if I can do it. Hopefully I can get some energy!! Have a great evening, everyone!

Long day at work, I felt pretty lousy all day. Lots of houses decorated for Christmas on my ride home, very pretty. It's great to know more and more will be coming.

I am watching a movie on Hallmark called Christmas Engagement. It is kind of cute ! I watched a new one this year called The Case for Christmas and a very emotional one called Christmas Wish.

I guess I must have had Turkey hangover or something with the depression I was talking about. Tonight after working I am okay. It was just getting to me that I am the only one here who is really a Christmas nut. Anyway, you all know what I mean......Thank goodness I have all of you to share Christmas with and my sister and Wishbone too !!

I can't tell you how many times you all have pulled me up out of some pretty deep sadness. That is why I always call you my family xo Thank you just does not seem like enough.

This weekend I am supposed to go to my sister's for our sister tree decorating Saturday and to also celebrate her birthday. I can't wait to be with her again.

It was so hard to get up this morning, and get back to the real world...


Well, we finished the tree and the village over the weekend, they look so beautiful!! I pray that the next 3 1/2 weeks go by very slow :smile:
I just want to savor every moment!


I must get started on my Christmas shopping today over lunch. I had planned to go over the weekend, but with the last minute guests, it just didn't happen. Wish me luck!


I've been loving all of the Christmas movies! They're everywhere! It's fabulous. Hallmark, Hallmark Movie Channel, ABC Family, ION, Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Channel, etc.! I think Made said it too, it's definitely not a bad thing having so many choices!! cheesy
