Just dropping in here in the countdown for a minute to say goodnight (Monday is lurking around the corner...:( ) and that I had a blast today hanging out in the chat at the World's Largest Christmas Party and sharing the joy of the season with the coolest and merriest people on Earth!

:tree:

Well I'm all ready for bed so I'll see you all tomorrow. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!

Good Evening Friends...
Sitting here listening to Sirius Radio. They are playing some wonderful Christmas music tonight. Had a pretty productive day for the most part. I wanted to go to storage to pull out my blow molds but never got around to it. A couple nights ago d/d and I went driving around town to look at Christmas lights. I sure wish more people would decorate. While out and about we stopped in at the convenience store for a drink and came across the cutest Christmas mug for Santa this year. It has a little slot in the bottom for a cookie..super cute! Hope everyone is doing well? Life's good here! =)

Good morning everyone. We still don't have much snow. (Are we going to have a brown Christmas????) Very unusual for our neck of the woods. It's happened twice, though, in the 33 years I've lived here.
I'm decorating my house tonight in spite of my grinch husband. Maybe it wil help his Christmas spirit to grow ever so slightly. (Keep your fingers crossed.)

******** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 30 ********

Good Morning, My Crusading Christmas Comrades!
Another week of helping to spread Holiday cheer has arrived.

And a week that sees us getting dangerously close to Christmas Day!
Days to Christmas Day: 13
UNDER two weeks now, Guys!

We once again have started out in the mid-30's under clear skies but, like climbing a ladder, we will advance rung by rung with each day predicted warmer than the one before it.
A trend in the right direction!
(Of course, once you go up a ladder you have to go back down, but like Scarlett O'Hara, I'll think about that tomorrow.)

You have a Marvelous Monday, Friends.
After all, it's the next-to-the-last work week until Christmas!

12 days and Tibb's Eve

Thank you for this, it is nice to know there ate others out there who love the season. One point for me, for most in Newfoundland and Labrador Canada, we celebrate Christmas for the entire 12 days of Christmas as well as Christmas eve and especially Tibb's Eve (the 23 of December)
Thanks
Ron

** OFFICIAL THREAD - CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN 2011 **

Yes, Friends. It's that time again. The first of January - the start of a new year.
And so another year of countdowning begins!

Here are the statistics since we began the Season countdown idea 7 years ago:
2004 = 1217 posts (Christmas.com) = 3.3 posts per day.
2005 = Over 2,700 posts (Christmas.com) = over 7.4 posts per day.
2006 = 3,756 posts (The Christmas Place) = 10.3 posts per day.
2007 = 1,957 posts (My Merry Christmas, where the thread was not launched until July) = 12.1 posts per day.
2008 = 5,103 posts (Wow!) = 13.9 posts per day.
2009 = 8,231 posts (Unbelievable!!) = 22.6 posts per day.
2010 = 16,226 posts (Astounding, to say the least!!) = 44.5 posts per day!
(A nearly inexplicable, yet wonderful, explosion of interest!)

And here we are ready to go again, at the start of 2011!

A word of explanation. We are running a dual countdown in this thread - one for Christmas Day and one for the start of the Christmas Season (November 13). Most all of us have agreed that we look forward to the entire Christmas Season rather than just to Christmas Day.
Why November 13? No reason, really. It just seems about the right time to regard the season as arriving. That date is exactly 6 weeks before Christmas Day and is about the time the country at large is beginning to really get into the holiday spirit. Most of the stores have decorated. And starting the season then gives us exactly 50 days (Nov 13 through Jan 1) to enjoy being "within" the season.

We also enjoy noting special "milestones" along the way (see the chart below).
At 90 percent complete, we begin the "home stretch" as we move into the final days before the season begins.

Allright, Folks! Hop aboard once again and enjoy reading the posts/following the count, which begins today at 316 to the Season and 358 to Christmas Day.

Here is a handy list of our Christmas Season and Christmas Day countdown milestone markers.

CHRISTMAS SEASON MILESTONE MARKER CHART
January 17 = Day 300
February 12 = 1/4 mark
March 15 = 1/3 mark
April 27 = Day 200
May 15 = 1/2 mark
July 14 = 2/3 mark
August 05 = Day 100
August 14 = 3/4 mark
October 07 = 90 percent (The Home Stretch begins)
November 13 = THE SEASON ARRIVES!

CHRISTMAS DAY MILESTONE MARKER CHART
February 28 = Day 300
March 26 = 1/4 mark
April 26 = 1/3 mark
June 8 = Day 200
June 26 = 1/2 mark
August 25 = 2/3 mark
Sept 16 = Day 100
Sept 25 = 3/4 mark
Nov 18 = 90 percent
December 25 = MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! We are off to a chilly start here in central Indy but we are headed to the mid 40's this afternoon. I have some cleaning to do today and then I may make some more cookies. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good Morning MMC!

Was going to read through all the posts, but just do not have time right now, will get to it later today.

The Worlds Biggest on line Christmas party was great! Got a chance to join in several times during the day.
Sang along with James on his ukulele (hope that cold is better today!)
Talked about eggnog, pets and just Christmassy stuff.
I even got to talk live on MMC radio.
It was nice to chat live with so many people.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!

Keeping with the "Twelfth Night" traditions, eh? Have a wonderful Season!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I worked ALL weekend, but it's behind me now. My company Christmas party is tonight, and the kids have mid-terms starting tomorrow, so my wife can't come with me. Oh, well. For some reason, we are going to a place that has bowling, laser tag, video games...I can't fathom why...but I guess she won't miss anything.

I have some work to do. I hope ya'll have a great day! cheesy

Good morning, everyone!

I don't have much time to read all the previous posts. It was a somewhat busy day yesterday. I had the gym, Packers game, a few other things and it was all wrapped up with a gathering for some ice cream cake and a Christmas movie! I had a blast!

Anyway, I was happy to see the Packers extend their record to 13-0 yesterday. They looked good at the beginning and then seemed to drop off. Hopefully Greg Jennings is OK. That would be a big loss for the Packers.

It's my final work week before I begin my Christmas Holidays! Less than a week now until I fly home to Sault Ste. Marie to spend nearly two weeks with my family. To say that I am excited would be quite the understatement.

I hope that everyone is having a great day so far... Oh, and I hope the weekend was fantastic, too!! It's a new week. This will bring us a week closer to Christmas! Enjoy your Monday, everyone!!

Good morning, MMC!

I wish you all a very MERRY day!!!!!!
