Actually I have an idea but I ain't sayin. Sleep well! Moonshine on the outside and moonshine on the inside makes for a pretty fair night!

Yes, I do work nights, all night shift. I'm not sure how I do it sometimes, but have done it for 6 years! Most of the time...99 % of the time, I love it. I slept well today, thanks!

Holy crow!

I just noticed I passed 30,000 posts at some point!

Congrats, Xmas! You must talk a lot! :)

My company Christmas party is tonight, and the kids have mid-terms starting tomorrow, so my wife can't come with me. Oh, well. For some reason, we are going to a place that has bowling, laser tag, video games...I can't fathom why...but I guess she won't miss anything.

Have a great time tonight, even if Nancy can't be there with you. It sounds like fun...hopefully!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is just barely chilly here today; no frost this morning. Yesterday was such a fun time! I wish all of you could have participated! AND I won a prize: an ornament from Bronner's!!! Have a great day, everyone.

It was such a fun time! I enjoyed chating with you last night. Congrats on the prize!

Good afternoon, Christmas family

Getting ready to get started for another day at work. A BIG thank you to all those who came to my Christmas With Pets Chat. I think it got boring mostly because I really don't know anything about pets and should have researced different topics for the chat. You were all wonderful, thank you for sticking around xo

This has been a really odd Christmas Season for me so far. It just seems one minute I am up and jolly and the next minute I am really sad and down. I don't know what my problem is. The most wonderful day so far this Season was the day with my dear sister.

Xmas - Congratulations on your posts !!! They accumulate quickly on here because everyone is so wonderful !! (Including you !!)

((HUGS)) To Harlowe, Ella, Snickers, Snowball, Christmasstar's Penny and all CS kitties, Xmas' kitties, CAHs furkids and all furkids everywhere.

Lilnoelelf - Praying for you my dear Christmas friend xo

Gabulldawg - Praying for your dad xo and all your family xo

Take care, Christmas family xo

I hope everything starts working out for you soon, Louanne. You will start getting the Christmas spirit soon. Just keep coming to visit us! How is DH feeling? Always thinking about you and the furbabies! Thanks for always thinking about us.

Good Morning, Christmas family!!!

Hope you're all doing well this 2nd to the last Monday before Christmas

It is very cool and damp out right now, with light rain falling. The mountains are supposed to get a foot of snow. They're so beautiful to look at! We have a nice view of them from our house.

I'm getting very excited for my parent's visit! They leave Wisconsin a week from tomorrow. Hope the roads will be good & safe for them. I always worry about snow & ice. At least they're used to driving in them, I'm the one whose out of practice. They should make it to Vegas the day before Christmas Eve ;o)

I just finished watching Trading Christmas yesterday. That was such a great movie! Kind of reminded me of the premise for The Holiday, which is one of my absolute favorites!

Our work Christmas party is this Saturday night. It's located at a resort near my house. They're having carriage rides in addition to the dinner & band playing. I guess they have photo booths and other fun little things on the property, too. Should be fun!

Thinking of you all~ saying prayers for those who need them, and sending Christmas cheer as well!!

Well friends, better get back to work. Hope you all have a jolly Monday!! xo

P.S.- This may need to be a future village for me! View attachment 1057

Safe travels for your parents! Have a great time with them when they come in.

Have a wonderful time at your Christmas party this weekend. It sounds like you will have a blast!

I think you should get that village! :-D

Good evening all! I can't believe the holidays will be over in just 3 weeks...I swear every year it goes by faster and faster. I just talked to a good friend up "north" who said they were down to 17F last night which is pretty normal for them! we have only been below 32F twice which is not normal at all...anyhow I feel somewhat better than I did last night and earlier today. Found out my in laws are the only ones coming for christmas at my house which really is better I guess. They are only staying 4 days so it will be a christmas like no other I have ever had except for when I was deployed over 6 years ago! I have always been around my folks for Christmas even when I lived in England they would see me over there or I would come back to the US...I will really need to try extra hard this year to be merry!!! I hope everyone has a good night!!

Sorry you weren't feeling well earlier, but glad to hear you are feeling a little bit better now.

I know Christmas is going to be very hard for you this Christmas. Know that we're all here for you if you need anyone to talk to. Make sure even if you can't see your family, keep in contact with them as much as possible! It will hopefully keep your spirits lifted to hear their voices!

And I got some sad news today about a friend I worked with nearly 20 years ago, but we kept in touch after I moved to Massachusetts. She's in hospice, and the prognosis is about six weeks. Her son said it was very sudden; she took ill about a week ago. It's too late today to call her, but I will try this week./QUOTE]

I am so sorry to hear this news for you, MC. I will be keeping your friend, her family, and you in my prayers. Keep us updated.

wow, so many posts, so little time!

It is exciting to have all this activity going on here, the parties, the decorations, the fun!

But I will not forget all those going through though time too, my prayers are with you all.

Hello MMC! Nothing new here this evening. Just got done watching "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and now EA, DH, and I are watching "Flintstone Christmas." We got take out from Chili's.

Work was very busy last night. It really tired me out. It made my back not feel that great either. Hopefully it will feel a little bit better before I go to work.

Well, I guess nothing else to really update you guys on. Will get back on here later!

What awful news. So hard for family and friends going through this. When you hear things like that it put's you're day to day problems into perspective.

just put together 18 center pieces for the seniors luncheon tomorrow. Will post a picture when I get them set up.

supper is almost ready, so I guess I will go and get some!
:-D

Hello, everyone! I had today off from work, but instead of relaxing, spent all my time working on a special project. No more days off left this year, so I don't have a day left to kick back and drink eggnog and watch movies ... boo! Maybe I can carve out a little time this weekend.

Thinking of you, CM3~ Sending hugs your way, and kisses from Harlowe too! It has seemed a little different this year, hasn't it? I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's just because it's been so busy, and we haven't had enough time to really take in the season yet. Hope it slows down some. Hope you are feeling very jolly soon, friend! xo

Good late afternoon, all. Hubby and I have an Elks Christmas dinner to go to with barrel-cooked pork roast and all the trimmings on the menu. Before dinner, we will all wrap presents for some seniors and two families with children. I am already tired and hardly did anything today. Hope you all have a great evening. TTYL.

I always loved the Christmas plays as a kids too and now love watching the kids perform. I played different things in the plays when I was little, but remember doing Mary the one year and thought that was such an honor.
I hated being in plays. I had horrible stage fright!

That is great you got to play Mary!
Party pooper here, sorry all, I have been so busy today, and I am leaving in 5 minutes to go to Bright Nights in Springfield. Here is what were going to: http://www.brightnights.org/tour/index.html
That looks amazing!!!
My girlfriend & I had lots of fun baking cut-out cookies, yesterday! What a big project that is, but they're so yummy so it's worth it!!
I did baking last week and it took me allllll day long. I should have got a friend over to help like you did! =)

Do you want to help me bake next time?
There's a don't miss on TV in 37 minutes:
White House Christmas on HGTV.

I usually watch that every year but I missed it this time. I hope they air it again!
Thank you for this, it is nice to know there ate others out there who love the season. One point for me, for most in Newfoundland and Labrador Canada, we celebrate Christmas for the entire 12 days of Christmas as well as Christmas eve and especially Tibb's Eve (the 23 of December)
Thanks
Ron
