Christmas Countdown - 2011

Hope everyone is enjoying their evening.

Sitting here now watching Elf, but I soon have to go get ready for work.

I probably won't be able to check in too much tomorrow or get caught up on the countdown tomorrow either - I will be sleeping in the morning and early afternoon, then have church at 5, plus will be going out to eat with my family afterwards. I will try to check in at some point.

Hubby and I had plans to go to the spaghetti dinner at the Elks Lodge. Since it's his birthday and since I look too weird, he is going down there and get it as a take-out. Then he is stopping by the store to pick up dessert. Hmmm. I wonder if I can talk him into watching a Christmas movie. Then it will be like it's MY birthday!!!

How nice it is to sit here visiting with all of you, in a snug warm house in snug warm flannels, with my little Christmas tree sparkling in the corner, and Christmas music playing on the cable ... the spirit is finding me again. :transform:

The directions did not say anything other than adding water and mix which was what I did last time and it was so crumbly. So I took the liberty about adding the egg...did not figure it would hurt I guess...It's about time to take it out now.Maybe it will be okay!!

Now I'm curious ... let us know how it turns out. If the egg doesn't work, maybe a tiny bit of vegetable oil would.

I am settling in with Wish to watch The Bishops Wife on Turner Classic Movies, one of my very favorites with Cary Grant and Loretta Young and Monty Woolley !!

I LOVE that movie. I hope we can watch it on the DVD projector this year. It made The Top 5 Romantic Moments in Christmas Movies in Podcast #15 (plug, plug ... I don't think anybody listened to it ...).

Well I was going to ask you to go shopping for my mom's Christmas gift with me. I didn't think you would want to go look at trash cans though and that's what I'm going to get her since she seems to think we don't have one. At least she never throws her trash away so I guess that's what she thinks.
