Well my sister's neighbor son just passed.

I'm caught up with the workload for the time being ... MAYBE I can leave when the office closes early tomorrow! If I can, I'll be busting out all over to start celebrating Christmas at home! Need me a quart of Cocoa Metro to celebrate!

Very well put MerryCarey! :) I hope all of you who expressed a feeling of negative experiences this Christmas feel this way!
MerryCarey, did your co-worker respond yet? Try to do not feel bad about it, some people are just socially not that strong, and maybe she feels embarrassed because she did not get you something, or she just isn't that great at expressing her gratitude.
I think it's a very nice surprise to put a gift-bag on someones chair, i'm sure it spreads the joy!

I'm happy to say that got straightened out. She spoke to me today to thank me for leaving the bag. (FWIW, she's much stronger socially than I am! I'm sure busy + not feeling well had something to do with her oversight---although she was crowing over another gift she got the same morning.)

Hi all , It has ben sometime that I have posted. As some of you may know this has been a difficult year for me. I want you to know that your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated. I did put up a tree this year. I know my husband would have been very dissappointed if I didnt. It almost seemed insulting to him ,his memory and our life together to not put one up. It certainly dorest have the same "Christmas Sparkle" that our trees of the past have had put at least its up. Hope you are all well. I'll be lurking around over the next few days, hopefully I can get caught up.

God Bless - Shiny Brite

So good to hear from you again, Shiny Brite ... although this is a difficult holiday for you, I hope Christmas will bring you some joy. You're in all our hearts.

Well my sister's neighbor son just passed.

I pray for comfort and peace for his family. That was a difficult vigil.

Hello, I had quite a time logging in today... As these days come closer and closer to Christmas I just cannot begin to express how wonderful it has been sharing this with all of you.

I for the first time do not feel so deflated, I know this time of year what do I mean, well I mean because I have MMC it isn't like these are the last two weeks, are it, I have a full year of all the Christmas I want with you all here at MMC!!! I am so blessed to have all of you :)

Well my sister's neighbor son just passed.

I will be praying very hard for their family. It's so sad to see a parent lose their child, especially this time of the year :(

I cannot believe Christmas is almost here! My mom and I are going to be spending all day tomorrow preparing food for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I am very excited to make some homemade Italian wedding soup :)

Christmas approaching always makes me miss my grandma - she loved Christmas more than anyone I know. She passed away unexpectedly in the summer a few years ago, but she kept telling us all winter and spring that it was her best Christmas yet. Even though I miss her like crazy, it makes me feel good to know that she had the best time!

Now that my grandpa is 86 years old, I try to make each Christmas perfect for him. Seriously, he makes opening presents an entertaining thing for everyone! He smiles and grins from ear to ear as he's tearing off the paper. Someone could wrap him a pencil and he'd still be happy opening it LOL! I bake his favorite cookies, make his favorite entrees, and try to do whatever I can to make it fun for him.

I am the same way!!! Nothing at Christmas disappoints me!! But I teach third graders and they have WONDERFUL Christmas ideas. I just saw one of my former third graders who is close to 20. She has had a Christmas gift for me (every year the same gift since she was in my class), all because of my family stories! I am never disappointed in the joyful giving of kiddos!!!

Just 41 years ago I gave birth to my first child. We came home from the hospital on Christmas Eve, 1970. So much has happened in my life since then. During Christmas 2007, my second child was diagnosed with leukemia. My third child, a daughter, had a stroke during labor when she was 22, and my granddaughter was born with cerebral palsy because of that. BUT I totally REFUSE any of that to color my Christmas Spirit. If WE don't believe, then who will????

I forgot to add that this was spoken from a mother's heart!

So everyone...I hit reply to all of your re-posts was typing and hit out of it! Anyway, I have to got to my inlaws for Christmas tonight, so I don't have time to try to reply all again.

I will work on replying to everyone again tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a great day. My Christmas vacation started at 7:30 am today and will last until at least 11:00 pm Sunday night, hoping that I get a call on Sunday night, that they don't need me at work! :yahoo:

Merry Christmas!

@lauriebear- Yes I agree with you ,I love this place and am glad I found it back in holiday season 2010...wait until after Christmas too,the first few weeks when we Usually get the post christmas blues...this place helped me out tremendously last year with that...I guess it's the moral support that I am not alone that helps!!
