I'm trying to remember how New Year's Eve is on MMC...like is it busy or is it dead?
This has nothing to do with anything but I wanted you to see I now have a living room again, complete with a Christmas tree (ignore the lack of curtains; that's a work in progress!)
I'm happy!!
I'm home, a little sore, but okay.
Thank you all for the concern.
Just a little over 7 hours until LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
14,000 and Christmas, too!! What a deal! Congrats!
Hi all , It has ben sometime that I have posted. As some of you may know this has been a difficult year for me. I want you to know that your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated. I did put up a tree this year. I know my husband would have been very dissappointed if I didnt. It almost seemed insulting to him ,his memory and our life together to not put one up. It certainly dorest have the same "Christmas Sparkle" that our trees of the past have had put at least its up. Hope you are all well. I'll be lurking around over the next few days, hopefully I can get caught up.
God Bless - Shiny Brite
Well my sister's neighbor son just passed.
Just 41 years ago I gave birth to my first child. We came home from the hospital on Christmas Eve, 1970. So much has happened in my life since then. During Christmas 2007, my second child was diagnosed with leukemia. My third child, a daughter, had a stroke during labor when she was 22, and my granddaughter was born with cerebral palsy because of that. BUT I totally REFUSE any of that to color my Christmas Spirit. If WE don't believe, then who will????
I just got back from the vets and am somewhat in a funk - Mouse is in the hospital. I won't know what is wrong with her until tomorrow - please pray for her!
Good evening,
I am done working for 2011!!!! Only problem is I have surgery tomorrow afternoon. :-? It should be a quick procedure, but nerve racking just the same. I have solved my "problem" at work and it looks like I have made a great friend, I am so glad I took CM3's advice. Thank you CM3! If anyone has a chance to see the movie/documentary "Becoming Santa" I don't think you will be disappointed.\
Have a great night!
Sugar- Praying for your back and that work will be extra light for you xo
Just popping in for a quick visit. It's only two days until the big day and I'm not in the Christmas mood at all. I don't know what to do. The movies haven't been doing anything for me. Maybe it's because I have seen all of them, but it hasn't been just that. It's the first Christmas without my sister and my parents have been arguing. Mum has been great, but my dad is hot and cold. One moment he is nice and jolly, then another moment he is angry and bitter. I'm having trouble and I really hope to be in the Christmas mood by the big day. I'm going to see the Christmas lights tomorrow night with family friends and watch the carols when I get home, so I hope that changes everything.
I am finally feeling better today! The grandkids came over yesterday and they made gingerbread houses. My 2 year old granddaughter ate most of the decorations as she made hers.
Oh, what the heck.
Here's to post number 3,000 for me.
About to go fetch my inlaws from the airport, then Im going to take a nap and will be back tonight!!! have a good afternoon all!

The winner is Christmas Story (2007, Finland) Synopsis:
Hundreds of years ago in Lapland, a little boy named Nikolas loses his family in an accident. The villagers decide to look after the orphaned boy together. Once a year - at Christmas - Nikolas moves to a new home. To show his gratitude, Nikolas decides to make toys for the children of the families as good-bye presents. Over the years, Nikolas's former adoptive families become many, and soon almost every house has presents on its doorstep on Christmas morning. At thirteen, Nikolas is sent to live and work with Iisakki, a grumpy old carpenter, who forbids Nikolas to continue making presents for Christmas. Gradually, however, Nikolas wins Iisakki's trust. Together they begin to look after the Christmas traditional that Nikolas has begun. When the aged Iisakki has to leave Nikolas and move away, the tradition of Christmas presents is once again at risk. Thankfully, Nikolas comes up with a solution that brings children joy every Christmas, even continuing to today. Written by anonymous
It's a great movie!
Just sitting here having a Marie Callender's chicken pot pie for lunch. Waiting until this evening. I will try to stay on the whole time for the Love Fest; I don't want to miss Binger, Made, Xmas, Coach, Brad and anyone else who joins in. If it's anything like the beginning of the Season, tonight will prove to be a blast!!!
I think we are just going to order in Carrabba's tonight...I am craving some chicken bryan! tomorrow we are going to fry a turkey for the first time...meaning me and my father in law so neither one of us have fried one before...this should be good though.

Just a thought ... have you considered having a chat over in one of the Christmas Chatter chat rooms while you're all watching Darlene Love? It's open at any time to anybody who's registered.

...What a wonderful woman you are. So well said. I'm so glad to see you have such great Christmas spirit, even after all the bad things that has happened to you. You've turned all these bad situations into good things. Merry Christmas, Seawaters. God Bless you and yours!!
I love Marie's cooking, she is a great cook. I will try to be here tonight, I've been up since 3:50am, and I'm feeling very uncomfortable, I cannot guarantee I will be there
It's dinner time here on the east coast and central time zones, and the procrastinators probably just realized they can't get their orders from online in time so they are at the stores. cheesy
I've thought about it but I figured why mess with a tradition.
I don't think the chat would count toward the posts on the countdown.
