Santa has delayed his liftoff!!! The new sleigh is so fast that he's afraid that he will get to places before the kids are in bed.

So I finally fell asleep around 2 give or take and DS was back up at 3 to eat. Oh the joy! Now he is sitting talking to himself!

My favourite day of the year has arrived! Going for lunch with my wife, then visiting parents and friends and hopefully finishing up in front of the fire with some wine. If ever a day need more than 24 hours, it's Christmas Eve.

So you think I would still be in bed since I didn't go to bed until 2 and was back up at 3? DS woke me up again a little after 6 and is still now awake in his crib. He was hungry again and is now trying to fall back to sleep.

He never, ever does this. He hasn't really been feeling very well the past couple of days though. God love him.

Hoping I can maybe catch an hour or two once DH comes home from work - I let him sleep in yesterday! If he had a bad night at work last night though, I guess not! :!!

17 hours until Christmas for us on the East Coast!

And Crown gets their annual week's vacation from countdowning.
(Hey! More sleep! I love it!!)

Well, the weather has taken the predicted cold turn and it's 41 degrees this morning, about 20 degrees cooler than this time yesterday.
At least it is not supposed to precip. (Or is that even a word?)

While cogitating that, you have a Simply Sensational Saturday and an Exemplary Eve of Christmas.
(It's been a great run this year, hasn't it?)

Final preparations are in full swing. Santa is in Urup, Kuril Islands making the rounds as always!

Excitement grows as the final item on the advent calendar is opened.

I snowed a bit again last night....of course it is not much, looks more like icing sugar sprinkled on a cake, but at least it is white!

I'm getting ready to make some of Coach's white chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and then it will be time to sort the gifts and head to my sister's house. I guess Xmas made it as far as he could today!!?? I think he did pretty good to hang around as much as he did today after going under the knife!! maybe he won't be able to sleep and he can join us...not that I don't want him to be able to sleep..well you know what I mean...

I slept quite well, thank you, the kids woke us up at 6am to say the very least they are BEYOND excited for Santa coming tonight.

Crown: As Christmasstar said, thank you for being the head cheerer on this count! It was great you popped in last night, too!

Long morning ahead of me - I will be glad when the afternoon gets here. I want to relax and enjoy the day, bake some cookies, listen to music, watch my favorite movies or read A Christmas Carol. I'm not sure if I can do it all in one afternoon, but I am going to try. Oh, yeah, I have to wrap presents yet, too :grin:

We screened "The Bishop's Wife" and "Holiday Inn" tonight. Trying to catch up with the Countdown, but it's impossible, as the posts are flying so fast, I haven't gotten within 20 pages of the most recent post. By midday tomorrow I maybe I'll find out how it went tonight!

We watched "Holiday Inn" last night also, it's a good movie, we enjoy that one every year.
