You really don't realize how many posts there are until trying to read through them! :transform:

I am becoming so depressed as each minute goes by and Christmas is almost over. The winter blues are about to hit! Living in Pennsylvania, the winter is less than pleasurable. I really don't look forward to the New Year like most do, instead it bums me out. The past few months, I have had such a blast Christmas shopping and running errands involving the holiday season. This year has probably been my most involved for Christmas yet. All of my trips to the stores and to the mall were for presents for my family members, and now I feel like I have nothing to go shopping for!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with those close to you :) I am very happy that I can start looking forward to Christmas 2012 with you all!

I have always felt the same way about New Year's, I find it more depressing because you start to see people throw out their trees, the lights come down, and so on. I take my decorations down slowly, I usually take down my last tree, (the last few years anyway) the last weekend in January, and keep some decorations out all year, I have a small Christmas Story leg lamp as my nightstand reading lamp. I keep Christmas books at the ready, and I have MMC. cheesy

Good morning!

I hope this finds everyone well!

I slept in this morning - boy was that ever nice! Not much going on here today. Mouse goes for a check-up later this afternoon and I am going to finish the book I am currently reading. No after Christmas shopping for me today - I wait a few days and then go when it is less hectic out.

Have a MERRY day!!!!!!!!!

And yes...I know I've missed posts clear back from the night of Lovefest 2011. I will be reading back to Friday night folks!

Uh Oh, umm we might not see you until New Year's there have been so many posts, hope you get caught up quickly. cheesy

I never used to get the "after Christmas let down", I was one of those that had the thought of things getting back to normal. Not that I didn't enjoy Christmas, I did, but I was ready for it to end. But now being with my wife, that has changed. Experiencing Christmas with her and seeing it through her eyes, I enjoy it much more and I get a little depressed when it is over too, normal is overrated anyway. But if Christmas was normal for the whole year, then there wouldn't be anything to look forward to. I am very happy and blessed to have my wife to share Christmas with, and I am very glad and happy to share it with you all here on MMC. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a wonderful New Year.

On the second day of Christmas...

Good morning,

I still have Christmas shows saved on my DVR, watching one show right now. I hate how the world tries to rush Christmas in the past, I know we will see some Christmas commercials, and Hallmark still will be showing their Christmas movies, but ABCFamily is done sans Elf on Wednesday night. I truly love Christmas, and I will not let the blues get me yet, I WILL enjoy every moment, my outdoor lights stay on until January 8, my trees until I want. I have been homebound since Friday's surgery, I want to get out, I have a little bit of cabin fever going on. I am watching a thing on Bronner's right now, I want to go there! Could I change my vote from Santa Claus, Ind to Frankenmuth, MI and Bronner's for an MMC convention? cheesy

I better get going or I will be typing all day, my wife is still sleeping, the boys playing with their bounty.

Merry Christmas and have a great day!

Good morning, everybody! Hope this finds you doing great! Sitting around drinking coffee and hanging out with the dogs. Good times!

Going to read the rest of the boards....see y'all later!

I got a good chunk of the posts looked at so far, but have to do some things around the house now.

Watching the kids playing with their new toys is already been my best Christmas gift!

Yea, I didn't as many as I thought I did, but I would still like to try and read all the ones from 24th and 25th that I missed! Don't worry, I will be around! :)

Not much going on here today, but that's a good thing. Relax and enjoy a little more Christmas, or at least a DVD or two from under the tree.

Was that, crap, sheesh, either Humphrey Bogart or Joltin" Joe.

Only the original: Bogart, Aldo Ray, and Peter Ustinov! (In 16mm I.B. Technicolor, no less.) We love that movie. I even made a little Adolph to put in the Christmas tree. So be good, or you'll meet a little friend of ours called Adolph!

As for me, I get through the year by looking at it in stages. In a couple of months, my martins will be coming in. I've got houses to get ready, poles to get in the ground....really is a lot of fun. Then, we get to Spring Break. After that, school is out and Christmas in July arrives! Don't despair...this thread will help take away some of those blues. Just keep coming and sticking your head in and we will pull you through!

Yes, it's a matter of waiting for the next project after Christmas to come along, then the rest of the year---good and bad---follows. Next we'll probably start looking for a good travel deal so we can go back to visit Gloria this summer. Then we'll have another "big thing" to look forward to to keep us occupied until Christmas in July.

I can't say this enough but I feel so blessed to have each and everyone of you! Being part of these forums has really helped combat the "after Christmas blues". I feel pretty good today! Thanks so very much to all! (((hugs hugs and more hugs)))!!!! :!!

This week I will have my grandkids staying with me. Last night my granddaughter spent the night and she is still sleeping!!! I thought a 2 year old would wake up early but she is giving me time to get coffee and visit her for a few. My grandsons will each have a night to stay here this week. It's too hectic to keep all 3 at once. They just live across the street from me so it's easy to take one home and get another! Ha ha!

I am going to be very busy so I will get on here when I can.

I hope everyone had the best Christmas ever!

The Christmas card list!!!

I posted that I figured it out!!!~

I figured out whose name I had. At that point, I didn't know that that same person had MY name!!!
oh, you cheated! It was supposed to be a surprise when you opened it! That is like opening gifts before Christmas!!! Jeff is going to have to remove those return addresses and replace with his own next year so that it will not happen again. LOL
:point:

Ah, the Christmas Blues....they hit you, don't they?

But not me....someone...a wise old gender neutral...once said that Christmas is either here or on the way.....look at it like that.

good answer, agree totally!
After Christmas blues has never been an issue for me. I love all stages of the holidays and discovered a long time ago to always look for the blessings (something my dad taught me)
I am so sorry to hear how many here are so sad now. Hope you all cheer up quickly and feel better. Lots of hugs!

Good Morning MMC!

It has been a wonderfully lazy morning here. Got to sleep in, did some cleaning, cake out of the oven and cooling. Superman movie is on TV this morning. (have not seen that one for a long time!)

Hope you all have a great day! I may head out to the mall after work and see what deals I can find...or just go home again and hang out here and do nothing again!

Thank you sweetie! Christmas is so much better with you in my life!!!

Well said, Coach!!! We are on a 6-1 school calendar, so I have an extra week's break in February. Plus retirement is on it's way for me!!!
