Beautifully said, SIT!!!

I never used to get the "after Christmas let down", I was one of those that had the thought of things getting back to normal. Not that I didn't enjoy Christmas, I did, but I was ready for it to end. But now being with my wife, that has changed. Experiencing Christmas with her and seeing it through her eyes, I enjoy it much more and I get a little depressed when it is over too, normal is overrated anyway. But if Christmas was normal for the whole year, then there wouldn't be anything to look forward to. I am very happy and blessed to have my wife to share Christmas with, and I am very glad and happy to share it with you all here on MMC. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a wonderful New Year.

Not really. I sent the package first and then did the Christmas card list. That address jumped out at me, that's all.

oh, you cheated! It was supposed to be a surprise when you opened it! That is like opening gifts before Christmas!!! Jeff is going to have to remove those return addresses and replace with his own next year so that it will not happen again. LOL
:point:

Good morning, Christmas friends. I am sitting here with my new green Starbucks mug, the one with the white holly on it. I am drinking Spicy Eggnog coffee and enjoying getting caught up on the forum. I have to go back to school next Tuesday, so I am going to enjoy the rest of this week. Since hubby and I went to Chico to be with his mom yesterday, I will be cooking our Christmas dinner this week. So Christmas isn't over for us!!! Have a great day everyone. Remember that the count on this thread is still going on until the end of December.

I just tried to respond to CAH's post about After-Christmas Blues. When I clicked on the link, I was taken to a page that said something about no thread. I went back to quote her post and now it has disappeared. Hopefully I didn't somehow screw something up!!!

Just stopping in real quick to say hi. DH and myself still don't have all the gifts put away yet, but we're getting there.

Sorry!

I tried to delete before anyone read it. I goofed up because Reine already had a thread about the exact same topic! I even replied in it but for some reason I thought it was titled that she is just suffering from blues. She put in the title on how to keep from feeling "blue" (something similar to that). I didn't want to copy that. It's easy to copy stuff on here because there are so many topics on this forum!!!

Thanks for letting me know. I thought I had somehow messed up the thread!!!

I now have a cup of Spiced Pumpkin coffee as I sit here in what Hubby calls The War Room. We each have our own computers. Right now he is working on drawing up plans on his computer to begin our remodel on the back part of the house. We hope to be finished next Christmas, so that is something major to look forward to!!!

I forgot to say that the back part of the house is the kitchen/den area. We have plans to have a big party when it is completed. I will get my Wolf stove that I have been wanting for over 15 years. It has a side-by-side double oven. I am really looking forward to it.

Good Monday (dreaded day after) morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, right now we are as far away from next Christmas as we can be. It'll be a long haul to next Christmas...but I can't think of a better group of friends to make the journey with! And by tomorrow, we'll be well on our way!

I just installed my new blueray player and it ROCKS! Nancy and the kids are going to a fancy hotel in Savannah at the invitation of Nancy's sister...I didn't get the invitation, though. It's only for one night, and I have to work tomorrow, anyway. After they leave, I'm going to get a bucket of hot wings and 6 pack of diet Pepsi, and I'm going to watch Cowboys and Aliens on my new Blueray player!

I got two spiral-cut hams from work, (one of the was a Honey-Baked ham), so I'm going to pork out this week.

I hope y'all have a wonderful day! cheesy

Christmas 2012 =

364 Days, 11 Hours, 49 Minutes, 55 Seconds.

It will be here before we know it!

Good morning,

I still have Christmas shows saved on my DVR, watching one show right now. I hate how the world tries to rush Christmas in the past, I know we will see some Christmas commercials, and Hallmark still will be showing their Christmas movies, but ABCFamily is done sans Elf on Wednesday night. I truly love Christmas, and I will not let the blues get me yet, I WILL enjoy every moment, my outdoor lights stay on until January 8, my trees until I want. I have been homebound since Friday's surgery, I want to get out, I have a little bit of cabin fever going on. I am watching a thing on Bronner's right now, I want to go there! Could I change my vote from Santa Claus, Ind to Frankenmuth, MI and Bronner's for an MMC convention? cheesy

I better get going or I will be typing all day, my wife is still sleeping, the boys playing with their bounty.

Merry Christmas and have a great day!

Of course you can change your vote - Bronner's is epic and Frankenmuth is a great little town!

Did you enjoy it? It was mine too and it was AMAZING!!!! :!!

Yes I did enjoy it, I just can't believe I never even knew about it until coming to these forums, considering it has been going on for 25 years.

Just signing on from my nook tablet! I love it and it's very easy to use!

I never did either. Thanks to Binger, Coach, and Made, I now have a new LOVE!

Continuing with Christmas 2011, watching "It's a Very, Very, Muppet Christmas" right now, have a visitor from out of town coming to visit, and leftovers, leftovers, leftovers! We may run to the mall this afternoon, I don't know yet. This is the best time of year!

Agreed...I like the day after Christmas because it's one of the most relaxing days of the year (unless you want to go shopping)!
