From what I have heard, Seawaters doesn't need an airport to fly the MMD jet....she just needs a strip of land....whether it be road, grass, interstate, gravel....doesn't matter. It's already 7:30 there....yall better get her up and out of bed!

An off airport landing in a lear jet. This could be interesting.

Seawaters- Wake up!!!!!! The food is getting cold.

Lost a good friend this morning.....he was like a father figure to me. It's good, everyone has been preparing themselves for this. Hate to sound ugly, almost a relief because of the fight that he was enduring.

Here's to hoping that his quality life of being a sound person, great husband, and awesome father will allow him to encounter an eternity of peace.

My condolences on the loss of your friend. May he rest in peaces, sounds like he was a very great person.

Good afternoon,

We got back from taking the boys to the Dr's office they both have ear infections. LC woke up in the middle of the night screaming because of it. I am finally starting to feel better, a lot less pain today, but I am sure tonight it will come back.

We just got word that my family's Christmas party that was scheduled on Sunday has been canceled, my aunt just called and said that my grandmother fell and hurt her arm, she is at the ER right now, she is in her late 80's I am very worried about her.

Thoughts and prayers for your Grandma and hope you and your boys feel better soon!

Happy New Years Eve Everyone!

Good Morning and like reading about others thoughts and feelings on New Years, I too always have a bittersweet feeling about celebrating New Years, while I enjoy the festivities, there is always a lingering feeling that it marks the end of the Christmas season and there is always some sadness about it for me.

I loved #10, Choose to pray, rather than despair. I totally choose to pray about a lump I have found. My mom had breast cancer and was cancer-free for almost 15 years before dying of bone cancer. I WILL NOT despair!!!

Your celebration for the New Year sounds SO special!!! Have fun!!!

Hello everyone!

It has been such a crazy week...I know I had to have missed some great things going on around here but my life has been so nuts that I haven't had a chance to drop back in. Hope everyone had a fab Christmas! DF's and I was pretty good...we hadn't done Christmas presents for ourselves or anyone else because we're saving for the wedding, but his parents and sister got us some nice things, and my parents told us the amount of money they were actually giving us for the wedding. That was the biggest surprise of all and we are more than grateful!!

The rest of my week had been dealing with Kohl's and the massive amounts of returns going through, and sadly I also put my two weeks notice in at Hallmark. I had been struggling with the decision for a while and finally decided to do it. I am leaving on good terms and have the option of coming back once everything settles down with the wedding, but I don't know. As much as I love the job, I made a promise to myself on Christmas that I would be rid of both retail jobs by the time next Christmas came around. I can't deal very well with the stress and strain it put on my time with DF, family and friends...it's not fair to them and it's certainly not fair to me. So, we'll see what happens!

Tonight, DF and I are hanging out with our good friends (pretty much everyone in our wedding party except for 4 folks) and we're gonna have a BLAST! It's gonna be the first time we are ALL together since...wow...since my birthday back in May! I hope everyone has a wonderful and SAFE New Years Eve! Love to all, and I hope to be more active in the 2012 countdown!!

And yay for reaching 30,000 posts in this thread! I knew we could do it! <3

I am SO EXPERIENCED!!! My ex was an air traffic controller, my cousin was an instructer at the FAA school in Oklahoma City, and he flew helicopters. I think I have LOTS of experience!!! Haha!!!

Good morning everyone on this last day of the year! I'm taking some time to remember the good about 2011, as well as the not so good. And participating in the MMC forums is definitely in the good column! As well, I'm looking forward to 2012 and the joys and surprises that lie ahead! Have a good and safe evening tonight, however you choose to celebrate it, and an auspicious beginning to the New Year!

While driving home yesterday from taking the kids shopping to use their christmas gift cards my car started making a funny noise which got louder and louder until it finally just stalled out .After having it towed from the side of the highway to the mechanic we just found out the motor is blown!!!!! Even though this happened in 2011 I hope its not a sign of things to come next year. I really need a better 2012 after a lousy 2011.

Here is an out of print Christmas record that I have currently up for share at FaLaLaLaLa.com The link is only good for a week so get it now!

I'lll let the first link above tell you about the share. Regular readers of the online archive thread will already have this from 2009 when I first shared it.

Saturday morning ... doing the household accounts and feeling blue seeing the January dates ahead, knowing that means the holiday season is over and we'll be back to everyday workweeks in a few days. But until then---Three-day weekend! Movies galore! Relaxing at home with a bucket of KFC! Homemade Chex Mix and a few leftover Christmas cookies to nibble on! Happy New Year's Eve! I may not be there for the last few posts of the 2011 Countdown, but I may be able to check in on the first few posts of 2012.

Look at it this way: Maybe that's the LAST lousy bit of lousy old 2011 and a sign that 2012 will be better. Hope your day improves after that.

So far my first day back to subbing is Friday 1/6 so i may get to enjoy an extra few days of vacation while everyone else is back to school...the extra days of vacation are all pending what CVS has me working

Hubby and I went to the Elks Lodge last night. It was wonderful. The amount and variety of food was great. I took some of my Fudgie-Scotch Ring and some of my Stained-Glass Fudge. At the last minute, I decided to make some roll-ups. I softened some cream cheese and mixed onions, chopped olives and mild chiles with it. I spread that on a flour tortilla. Then I spread on some refried beans. I sprinkled cheddar and jack cheese on that and then topped it off with fresh cilantro. I rolled it up and then cut it into slices. It was so good!!! You would not believe all the food we had!!!
