Good morning,

Work beckons soon, got to put in my time as an indentured servant, umm, sorry, I mean happy employee. Late night tonight at work, Carl made me a PB & J sandwich this morning, he makes a mean PB & J. I needed something else besides a twinkie this morning. August is here, to me the llloooonnngggeeessstttt month of the year, the anticipation of all the fall events and the disappearing of the heat just make it seem so long.

I must get ready for work, and make my dinner for tonight. I leave in 20 minutes.

Have a great day!!!

I agree, CM3! I enjoy the classics & cult classics, B movies, psychological thrillers, etc. Love a good old-fashioned ghost story. xo
I Love the old B&W scary movies with Dracula, The Mummy, Frankenstein, The Three Stooges meet..., Abbott and Costello meet...., Halloween cartoons, but I cannot watch the modern stuff at all, freaks me out too much. If I watch that stuff, I'm up half the night, the most I can watch is The Shining, and thats about the exent of my extreme.

Gosh, can yall believe it? Today is the last day of July? Wow. It seems like yesterday we were just getting done with April.

This is when I start to really get excited. My wife starts getting excited, my Mom starts getting excited, Hobby Lobby gets everything out....and we are closing in on the 'Bers....school starts, football (American) starts, and things will cool off....well...maybe not cool off. But if we can get through this month, we are home free.

Getting back to the end is always exciting....

((((Star))) !! Oh My !!! I don't know if I could deal with all of that !! You seem like you handled it like a pro ! xo

wow you did have a rough one! i hope you feel lots better this a.m. star!

WOW! What a night!!! I bet you were glad to get home!!!

thank you everyone, as you can see I made it through! I am learning quickly that there is a core group there who all want to run the place their way! LOL Would make a great TV show!

On top of it all, I got tagged by a mystery shopper, you know those folks they send out to see if you actually do what you are supposed to do. I got an 87% mark for my service, missed asking if they wanted to get a meal deal. Of course they never mention I was there alone with a long line of customers!!! Oh well, 87% is better than I did in high school!
She also had the never to say I was over 60!!!!!!!!! I want to talk to her!

Just look at this:
Days to the Season: 104
Days to Christmas Day: 146
Just barely over half a week remaining now until our next Milestone, 100-day Season mark.
Then, those coveted double-digits will be here to help make things go that much faster!
(Just gives you chills, doesn't it?)

Carl awaits anyone and everyone for the first 'Pines open house of August.
Don't miss it. (You just don't know what that Camel might have planned!)

I have to work until 11:30, but if it is going to be a late night party, I will stop in on my way home. Maybe Carl could stop by the sub place and drop off some fired twinkies and sweet tea for me?

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I went to Jacob's guitar lessons then WalMart yesterday with the family. I have to say, I was beat by the time we got home. But I found several more food items that I can eat happily.

Mama wants me to ride to Hilton Head with her today, to go to the car dealership she used last time. It must be getting close to new-car-time for her!

I hope y'all have a great day!

so good to hear you getting out again. Your enegry will come back!

Good morning everyone!

I was not able to stop by yesterday, so I decided that called for an earlier than usual stop-in today. With yesterday being the final day of July, I figured that it was an important day to visit, however, my body had other plans. I managed to sleep through the entire lunch hour at work. I didn't even eat! Kim had been sick all weekend and it turns out that she gave me a bit of her sickness. Thankfully, I made it through my workday, however, I was stuck on the couch from 4:30 until this morning. At least I could watch the Olympics! The good news? I feel much better. I'm hoping that it will all be gone tomorrow.

It can't be August already, can it?! While walking to work today, I began to think - "less than two months until the Christmas Blossoms thread" and "barely more than two months until The Bay at the Rideau Centre begins to put their Christmas decor in the overpass between their store and the mall." How exciting! The countdown truly is lowering... And I'm sure we all know that just by Crown's announcement of only 104 Days left until the Season!

Well, I should get back to work. We'll see if I can continue feeling better throughout the day. I'm really hoping to re-gain the ability to hygerate without feeling terrible. I'm sure I'll be fine though. This stuff usually doesn't last long with me...

Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone! It's the first of August and the first of five 'Pines Days this month!

hope you feel better quickly!

Good afternoon, Christmas family! How are you all this great day? I am well. I'm just relaxing, with all of you and can't get better than that!

Nothing really new here. We made it through the drive-in movie last night without any rain. EA didn't want to really sit still, which I guess you can expect with a 3 year-old. She did really well with the last one we went to, but she was up and down at this one. We probably won't be going to any, until next summer, so hopefully she will be a little better by next.

I go back to work tonight, but only for two nights and then I am off for two nights, because of the weekend. I like that schedule!

Well, I am off to read the posts from last night and today, then I am going to read more posts from July. You guys wouldn't believe how far behind I am. No...truly. Be back later!

hey y'all! just stopping in real quick to say hey to everyone. daughter & i went to the dentist today for some work. still a bit sore so i think i'm gonna take some aleve & lay down. hope all is well!!!!

Hope you feel better!

My luck will be when they are old enough to start doing the yard work, then they probably will sleep all day. cheesy

My brother was never like that, but you just never know. Boys will be boys! Good luck with that. I have one of those to raise too. Oh boy! :)

Nice to see you again !!!! xoxo

Thanks, Cm3! I am really trying to be around more often. It has just been so busy. Life is slowing down a little. August will still be a little hetic, but I hope to still try to catch on the lastest post...hope. :-D

Wednesday hello! Another Pinesday closer to Christmas!

I always recommend "The Devil Bat"---it's a good old-fashioned, low-budget horror movie from the 1940s starring Bela Lugosi, with a good dose of sly humor mixed in. Lugosi raises giant vampire bats trained to attack people wearing an experimental shaving lotion that Lugosi has whipped up---and he gives free samples to all his enemies ...

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to look for it!

I also enjoy a good non-horrific ghost movie like "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" or "The Canterville Ghost."

Yes, those are great! I love The Shining, too..watched it this past weekend on A & E, while my husband was gone. That was a big mistake, lol!

Good Pinesday morning everyone!

Just sneaking out to the Pines hehe. Carl handed me a cup of candy cane hot chocolate that he made. MMmmmm.
Oooh ohoohh! Get this! I was at the dollar store yesterday and they have HALF A ROW of Halloween stuff! My Wife was disgusted, while I was giddy. hah! Still a heat wave in August. At least that's what they are saying. With little rain in sight. Sheesh. This weekend is my 5th Wedding Anniversary! I am giving my Wife a traditional gift. A wooden Angel that's holding a heart! Whoops, better get back to work. Have a great day all!

Happy Anniversary to you & your wife, Undrtakr!! What a sweet gift, I'm sure she'll love it!

:sparkle:

I hope you guys get to cool off soon !! It is really quite pleasant here this evening............xo

It was the same way back here last night. I had to still with a sweatshirt, sweatpants, and a blanket last night. That's the way I love it. It was nice to be cozy under a blanket with the kids.

Happy Anniversary to you and your wife! I think that sounds like a lovely gift!

That's pretty daunting ... we need a loop of cold-weather music (Winter Wonderland, Marshmallow World, Let It Snow, etc.) to ward it off until Fall!

I have been listening to Christmas music for the past hour and a matter fact, with my central air on, I am so chilly, I had to go put on sweatpants and make a cup of coffee, but I opened the door to put Ella out and it's still hot out. It didn't change anything. We can all dream though, right??? :)
