I checked this out online and had to laugh at myself. When you first mentioned this, I thought it was about Sly and the Family Stone!!! I am going to see if I can get it into my movie queue on Netflix. Thanks for the heads up!

After work I finished watching The Family Stone - Loved it!!! It's definately a "watch again" movie! So festive & fun!! :grin: I made some fresh salsa this afternoon. YUM! It's a HOT batch! :rudolph: Now I am working on making/canning Tomato Bouillion. I have never made this before (recipe is from a friend) so I'll see how it turns out. I love new recipes!!! :hello: Hope you are all having a great afternoon!!!

things at work have been rather slow lately, hopefully it picks up soon. I actually have the whole weekend off! But I have nothing to do this weekend, I need next weekend off. I hope the boss did not mix up the time off I need.

We finally got the keys of our new house yesterday, so a week of cleaning and moving is ahead. Most importantly I have agreed on the position of the Christmas tree come the time. Priorities and all that have a great weekend folks.

Congrats to Jacob! I love the idea of everyone having pics made with him and his new license. What special memories those will be as he gets older. I can just imagine him as a grownup looking back on yesterday. Breakfast smells great, by the way!

Well, Jacob passed his driver's exam, so we have another new driver on the road. Heaven help us! The DDS office is about 30 miles from here, so we let him drive us home. Nancy was a backseat driver from heck, though. She had him more nervous than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. But, we made the trip back to Bellville, then everyone had their picture taken with him and his new (learner's) license.

I'm at Bernie's this morning, cooking sausage and drinking coffee.

93 days til the big day........my lumbargo is still not healed...and I am not sure if I will be able to work come Monday....I might need two or three more days.....I hope it will heal at all....I mean....I want to go to Disneyland Paris in 8 days....so I gotta be able to walk a little bit better than a 100 year-old woman I guess

Weatherman says it's going to rain all night! Looking at the radar, it should be raining now. It's really dreary looking, but no rain yet. Looks like it could be a good night to stay home. And hopefully its done b/f our golf outing in the morning!!!!

My neighbor just sent me a text. I was supposed to let their dog, Bailey out next week on my lunch, while they are on vacation. She said the dog was really struggling yesterday & today & it was bleeding, so they decided to put her to rest. Oh, I'm so sad for them. She was such a sweet dog.

After a night out with my friends I'm feeling a little sorry for myself today so tucked up in bed with a big bottle of cola and watching The Holiday perfect hangover cure I think

Good Morning Christmas Pals!!

It's a beautiful bright sunny day here in NJ. First day of fall, so Christmas is not that far away. I got up this morning and got on youtube and looked at people make roast turkey and stuffing. Yes, I am ready to start my Thanksgiving plans. Today hubby, daughter Kayla and I are cleaning out my office space. I decided to become an agent of an online travel agency and I am excited!! I love travel planning. It's been a hobby and now I decided to take the plunge and do it as a small home business.

Well I can't believe we only have 93 days til Christmas. I got out my Christmas countdown clock, but unfortunately it doesn't allow me to begin the countdown until October 1st. But that's ok, because I countdown everyday with or without a countdown calendar!

Hubby went to Home Depot the other day and asked about the Christmas Decorations. He said he got some weird looks but the salesperson proudly informed him Christmas will be on the shelves next week!! Hubby is ready to get the icicles lights on the house before it gets too cold. So usually they go up in late October or early November. Wow!! It's almost time!!!

I seem to be full of the holiday spirit today, so I intend to go out and spread the joy of the upcoming season. I hope you all are having a VERY MERRY day!!!

It is an awesome movie!! One of my favorites :smile:
And it has lots of big names in it: Craig T. Nelson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Diane Keaton, Dermot Mulroney, Claire Daines, Rachel McAdams, Luke Wilson, etc. The first time I watched it, I loved it, but it definitely has you on an emotional roller coaster..in every direction! Beautiful Christmas house!
