So sweet!

I still have the last sweatshirt my mother bought me 21-22 years ago, it was a Boomer Esiason Cincinnati Bengals jersey sweatshirt. It hasn't fit me in years, it is a size medium, now I am an XL, but it has a lot of sentimental value to me. It hangs in JP's closet as in to watch over him.

I am so tired, and I know I won't finish reading all the posts tonight. I wanted to drop in and tell you that Wal-mart employees came to our school today with a meat tray, a veggie tray, and cupcakes for teachers. Then we EACH received a $50 gift card!!! How nice was that??? TTYL

Aside from the 'Pines, today is a fairly special day. It's my dad's 58th birthday! It's hard for me to believe the fact that he is nearing 60. Not that 60 is old... He's still in great shape - he works out 3 times per week and plays hockey 5 times per week - and I am sure he will keep it up for quite some time. I'll have to give him a call to wish him a "Happy Birthday" sometime this evening.

A very happy belated birthday to your dad, Brent !!! He and I are the same Age !! xo

There is absolutely nothing wrong about that. It's natural to cherish something that reminds you of a loved one who's gone ahead.



I don't listen to classical music regularly, but when I do, one of my favorites is Clementi's piano sonatinas. I discovered them when I was a kid taking piano lessons, and I never did them justice. So a few years ago I got a recording of them being played they way they should be, and I really enjoy them. They're simple little pieces that are relaxing and happy to listen to.

Years ago I actually studied Clementi's piano sonatas !!! They were among the first musical pieces I ever played !! I love Clementi !! xo

Speaking of keeping things of loved ones who passed on. I still have my grandmother's Christmas sweatshirt she wore every single Christmas. It's really cute, it has a Christmas mouse on it. I have no plans to get rid of it so of course keep the jacket, Caninemom!

Hey everyone!

My hubby and I just finished celebrating our 8th wedding annversary. We spent the day together, along with our baby girl. He surprised me a diamond anniversary band. I've been wanting a new one because my original ring scratches the baby. I was so excited! He's such a good man.

We're gearing up for Halloween, stocking up on candy, getting the costumes ready and preparing for fun night of trick or treating with the kiddos. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm getting a cold. I guess it's to be expected this time of year but I sure was hoping to avoid it.

I'm so ready to set up our tree and start decorating! It's about to drive me crazy. I'll most likely get everything set up at the beginning of November because we're trying to plan a trip to Arkansas to see my family (first time in two years) and I want to have it all ready for when we come home. Everyone pray for me, this trip home might be a stressful one. I'm going to say my final goodbyes to my Grandfather and I'm dreading it. It's hard coming to terms with it. But I am glad that he will finally get to meet his new great granddaughter, my little Sadie. My son is excited to see his cousins.

Good morning,

Another Wednesday, another late work day. Guess what I don't want to go. cheesy

I am really getting in the Christmas spirit lately, I can't wait to start decorating. I don't know if it is because the weather is getting cooler, or the thoughts of Christmas shopping, or the approval of the vacation, but my Christmas spirit is in high gear.
When I went to Kmart earlier, they had NOTHING yet, very disappointing.

Well when my sister went to the er last night they discovered that she had actually ripped out 2 stitches. They just cleaned it up and taped it though since it had quit bleeding by the time she got called back. Now this morning she is bleeding from it again. So it looks like I get to keep my niece's until her doctor calls her back and tells her what he wants to do.

Oh Made........I hope your sister will be okay......You are such a good man xo

Yes I agree you Xmas, thanks. I know speaking for myself, I look forward to sharing and being here everyday with all my MMC friends/ family. And if I miss a day, I just doesn't feel right inside; like, I'm missing something....

Good Morning Christmas Pals,

Its a beautiful day here in New Jersey. The sun is shining bright, and it's supposed to go to 70 degrees today. But no matter how warm it gets, I can still feel the cool breeze underneath letting me know my favorite time of the year is quickly approaching. I haven't been able to catch up on the posts but I hope all are doing well. I have been so excited to see how the stores are slowly but surely converting to the Christmas season. Only 37 days until I put up my tree and outside lights. I am so excited !!!! Can you believe it, the season is almost here!!!!

It happened again! The cats outside caught another squirrel, older than the last one we found. He just laid there petrified so I was able to pick him up, put him in a cage to keep an eye on him to see if he was injured or just scared. About an hour later and after he took a nap he woke up alert and running all over the cage. I let him out and he ran straight up a tree. I am assuming no injuries! I hope he will be okay!

I am ready for Carl's blend of coffee!

Good afternoon, everyone! Hope your day is going well. I am just sitting here with the kiddos and enjoying the afternoon.

Nothing is new here. Same old, same old! I go back to work tonight, then I am off starting Friday morning for the weekend. I am looking foward to it.

The best part about this site and this time of the year, is coming here and seeing new faces. I may not always get caught up everyday, but I just love to check-in and see the new faces!

I think the squirrels are too fast for my cats to catch. Come to think of it, the cats only run when they are getting fed or if something is chasing them :grin:

Good evening everyone!
Been a busy day here, took mom shopping then inspection this afternoon.
Also managed to get some more stuff made for the cake.

I found out today when the gingerbread house competition is and what the theme is this year. It is Nov 29, about 2 weeks after the cake one.
The theme is exciting.......
Christmas Carols!
I have to base it on which ever Christmas carol I like.
Which one to do think would make a great gingerbread house?

That is Cool !! I bet "Up On The House Top" would be a neat theme !! xo

the funeral was very sweet for Miss Maggie. she had gotten so ill i think everyone is happy for her to be w/out pain now. i'm not sad. it's really ok. i know she's in heaven now.

it got kind'a warm this afternoon. we were pretty busy @ work today also.
