Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is breezy and chilly here in northern California. Plans for today include doing laundry, checking some papers, and getting ready for dinner with friends at Red Lobster for the all-you-can-eat Shrimp Fest. We had a steak dinner at the Elks Lodge last night at an ENF benefit for all Elks programs. I bid on two homemade pies: peach and lemon meringue and won them both. I also bid on a gorgeous table that looks like a dainty dresser. The back looks like an Adirondack chair and the drawers are birdhouses! The drawer pulls are leaves. It is so cute. I will try to get Hubby to take pictures and get them on here. One of our Elks members made two of them.

I am thinking of all of our members who have suffered illnesses or whose family members are suffereing illnesses. You are definitely in my prayers. Included in my prayers are those in the path of Frankenstorm. Take care, all of you.

It worked. That is really a cute table. I love your cat siggie ~ I want one!!!

Thank you all for your prayers!

Mom did have a mini stroke. She has very high blood pressure for which she is now on medication for. She is home now and feeling better. Arrangements are being made for her to go to the stroke clinic for a treatment plan.
I am tired, thinking of having a nap, but most likely will just wait or I will not be able to sleep later.

Good afternoon, MMC!

It has been a nice day here. I waited too long to make my grapevine tree, so it will get made next year when the vines aren't so dry. Ended up getting a lot done in the house. I see small improvements here and there ~ makes other parts of the house look rather messy, though. cheesy

There is a blueberry & pineapple cake in the oven and I have the vegetables chopped and waiting for my Mexican pizza. After I get the kitchen cleaned up somewhat, I am going to relax for the rest of the evening. The Halloween show of the Greasy Skillet is on tonight and I will be listening! Hope you can, too!

UGH. I have been on the go since 8am and I am wore out. Not to mention the headache that I have after dealing with 65 screaming little girls. Does someone want to come fix me dinner?

Hope you can get rid of your headache. What were you doing with so many little girls? Birthday party?
