Hey everyone!

Well, it was a rough night/morning. Please pray for the people in Alabama that were injured/killed and/or had damage. A lot of areas in the state have major damage. Some neighborhoods are just destroyed. People are still trapped in houses as I type. They don't know how many people are injured or have been killed, but they do know there have been several.

Praise God, we didn't get any of the severe weather here. We had a lot or rain, wind, and lightening--but no tornadoes at my house. Schools are delayed 2 hours, though, to allow time for some of the flooded areas to be dealt with. The buses can't run through there.

I will probably have some tired and grouchy Pre-K students today. Luckily, they get to take a short nap. Hopefully, that will help. I'm sure I will hear a lot of interesting stories, though.

I hope you all have a wonderful day.
TTYL!

Wow! I did not hear about that until your post, my thoughts are with all.

yes, i agree fairy, i will be praying for all touched by this tragedy.

we were lucky last night, the violent weather just missed us I think. We have had a lot of bad weather around here lately. I hope everyone has a great Monday!

oh, oh, oh i almost forgot have any of you seen the movie "courageous"? daughter wanted to watch it late this morning & being we have a few free pay per views i got it. from the same peeps that have done other Christian movies. i think "fireproof" & "? the giants" were 2 others. anyhoo that movie was just WOW. i'm never 1 for tearjerkers & 1 part of it just about ripped my heart out. speaks volumes to fathers. i know i'm mama but mmm mmm mmm. the jist of it (w/out giving it away) is 4 men are coworkers & friends, after an horrific tragedy, try to keep their faith in God. IT'S WONDERFULLY PUT TOGETHER & DELIVERS A POWERFUL MESSAGE W/OUT SHOVING IT DOWN YOUR THROAT.
We didn't get a chance to see Courageous in the theater, but I actually bought it yesterday. I have been an admirer of all of the movies made by Sherwood Baptist for years! Facing the Giants was their second movie, but I saw it first and it made such an impact on my life. I can't explain it, but the movie reached me in a way that no sermon ever has. I even bought the soundtrack to listen to at work, and it reminds me of different scenes in the movie. LOL

Fireproof, their third, was another wonderful movie. Kirk Cameron delivered a super performance in that.

I can't wait to get home so I can watch Courageous! cheesy

hi my friends.....today will be hard day, because we are going to my grandpa´s funeral....can I ask for prayers for us and especially my grandmother to make through this day...as I wrote before...she is very, very brave...but lets the pain come out, too...but u never know what happens to a person when they bring their loved one to his grave :(
I'm so sorry for your family's loss, Tanja. :(

What a great weekend I just had. I made a trip to Galena and got some fabulous deals on some Chrismtas items. As usual I can't wait to display them. And of yesterday the football was wonderful. I'm not a fan of either the Patriots or Giants but I was rooting for both of them (gotta pull for someone). Is it possible to hold the sports bar liable for all my excess pizza and wing consumption?

Looks like it's gonna be an all-nighter in my neck of the woods. Thunderstorms, tornado watches, very heavy rain, gusty winds and it's just going to get more exciting as the night progresses. They're saying it should be over with by about 7 a.m. (just in time for my husband to start getting ready for work). Tornado watches....in January. Where's my snow lol?:)

Have a great night everyone!!

How awful---I hope that's the last of the violent weather around there for a while. I hope all the MMC folks in that neck of the woods came through all right. Anyone hear from RJD?

You and your family are certainly in my heart today. I hope you will all be comforted soon.

Well, it's the Patriots and the Giants in the Super Bowl.
Do we have more Giants fans here or Patriot fans?

How about "Let's ignore the Super Bowl and watch some good movies?" cheesy

I also recommend the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet.

It is a fantastic movie. Hope you enjoy it. It certainly challenged me. Hollywood doesn't make movies like this.

brad, be ready w/ the tissue. i know exactly what you mean about these movies. they are wonderfully written & directed. i've not seen "fireproof". note to self..watch it!

That must be really tough with the Pats being the Colts biggest nemesis/rival, that would almost be as bad as the Yankees using Fenway Park as their home field. It will be pretty bad up here, the 2 most annoying fan bases talking trash to each other for the next few weeks.

Hey!!! Watch out Xmas - I am one of those "annoying fans"!!!! GO GIANTS!!!!! No body believed and here they are at the Superbowl!!!!

That is my dilemma. I don't want the Patriots and Tom Brady to get ANOTHER Super Bowl championship, but I don't want Eli to have more Super Bowl rings than Peyton because I think Peyton is the better QB. I will have to see who I naturally cheer for when the game starts and just play it by ear.

Sugarplum, I can feel what you are saying... I think that is a good choice, let the feel of the game be your guide.

As a treu blue Giant fan, I am really happy they made it in. I have to admit looking at there schedule in August I had counted them out, I didn't even think they would make the playoffs, but they kept giving me hope, even when they would lose the other teams in the division couldn't win either, the redskins game really had me down. I loved the Giants since I learned what football was, I will cheer them on, but I know New England is no joke, as much as I love hating them (tee hee), I know NY needs to respect them.

Become a Pats Fan? That must be the cold talking. No one in their right mind would want to become a Pats fan.

I hope you feel better soon!!!!

The last time the Pats were in the Superbowl was SB#42, against the NY Giants, they got to the playoffs but could get past the 1st round since losing in the 07 season.

I for one am with you Made, I so didn't want this to happen but here we are, and I sure hope Eli can pull off another miracle but the Pats are a formidable team.

GOOD A.M. YA'LL. WELL I DIDN'T MAKE IT THROUGH THE GIANTS GAME LAST NIGHT AS I'M SUCH AN EARLY BIRD BUT HUBBY FILLED ME IN THAT THE GIANTS WON IT IN OT. YA' KNOW WHO I'M FEELING FOR THIS MORNING? THE 49ER WHO FUMBLED, CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW UPSET HE IS THIS MORNING, GOD BLESS HIM.
MY WEEKEND WAS VERY BLAH, SAT AROUND & WATCHED TV ALL WEEKEND. I ALWAYS FEEL BETTER WHEN I DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE BUT W/ THE WEATHER AS IT WAS I WAS KIND'A STUCK. I THINK I STAYED ON HERE ALL DAY TOO, BUT I ENJOY THAT.
I'M OFF ON MONDAYS SO I'LL FIND SOMETHING TO DO TODAY IF THE RAIN DOES NOT STICK AROUND.
LOVE & HUGS TO ALL OF YOU MY MC FAMILY!:merry:

MerryM, I love the Giants but I sure could see the pain in his face last night, that has to be tough, but somehow these guys get over it and seem to get past the disappointment, I don't know how but they do. The 49-ers are a great time, their defense made mince meat of our offense I really believe this game came down to who made the first mistake. And it happened to be the 49-ers. Funnt thing I am a HUGE Giant fan, now don't get me wrong, I wanted the Giants to win so don't misunderstand me, but, I really was nervous that they would not be able to match the 49-ers, I knew they had a strong defense, it was a really good game to watch as neither team gave up.

Good Morning! I have 10 pages to catch up on but I won't have time to do so right now.

Yesterday was a rough day on me. I woke up hurting all over, felt terrible and have no idea why! I went to church and had to leave early. I came home and laid down before I went to work. I did okay at work but then my back started killing me. I am still hurting today especially in my back!

I am a die hard Cowboys fan but wanted the Ravens to win for Snow-in-Texas but it's okay. My son-in-law and grandson is happy that the Patriots won. I am happy for them! =)

Congratulations New York Giants and New England Patriots fans!

There's no way to get away from it here since it's being held downtown.
