getting more windy here , but now I am going to bed.
Stay safe everyone.
good night
My doctor wrote a letter for me to be off work until school starts up after Christmas, January 7th. The exhaustion from radiation caught up with me. I had a hard time getting through today. In addition, I lost 10 pounds this week. I can afford to lose the weight, but just not that fast. Take care, everyone.

I just realized I have never gone through a hurricane/tropical storm at night. This will be freaky, not being able to see whats going on outside.
Sustained winds of 20mph, gusts up to 40mph. Rain coming down, the worst of it shall be from now until midnight.
DH just came in and told me a half of a house just collapsed here in the city and lots of people are already without power. It's really getting bad. I'm secretly glad he is home tonight and not out in this!

Haven't been on in a while and don't have much time to post now. We lost all power about an hour ago so I am trying to not use my phone much since we have no way of charging it. But I wanted to update y'all and hope everyone else in Sandy's path is not as bad off as we are. The worst is supposed to hit us tonight and tomorrow (I'm located right where the storm will be hitting tomorrow at 8am according to all the weather maps).
Hope you all are well. [\COLOR][\I]

Hey everyone. Just wanted to check in quickly. Right now, it's raining, but not too hard. That will come tonight, while I'm at work. We're into the 50 or so mph winds - which is making the lights flicker - hoping the power doesn't go out, but that typically happens here, so we're prepared.
I have to work tonight, so I just wanted to check in to let everyone know all is still okay here. We haven't even got the "eye" of the storm yet. That is supposed around midnight or so. Praying for all of you. God Bless and I will try to check back tomorrow, to check progress on the rest of you. I have my phone charged, so I can check there as well, but I want to keep my phone charged as well for emergencies.
Keep safe, everyone!

Morning all, been up and down most of the night checking the news coverage on the storm, hope everyone is ok, so sad to hear that people have lost their lives, Hope those of you caught in the storm can check in with us soon to let us know you are ok, Thinking of you all xxxx
Still here ... the wind is to be at its peak between now and about 8 p.m., they say. The lights flickered a few times, but we're still up so far. The trains all stop running at 2 p.m., so I hope Mr. is on his way home soon. He was going to leave at 12:45. Account managers at his office were trying to get him to stay until 1:30---idiots!
The way the wind is going, we'll almost certainly lose power this afternoon. 20,000 are without power already, they just said. Maybe I should get a hot lunch while I can!
All of you, stay as safe as you can. It's going to be truly frightening south of us when the hurricane part of the storm makes landfall tonight. I'm worried about Maryland.
sitting here in my cozy living room, sipping hot chocolate, watching TV and catching up here. The wind is really picking up, sounds rather erie. Hearing some big gusts and we are still waiting for the main part to hit.
My potted mums have blown over, I would go and rescue them but it is to chilly and wet out there.
I have to go out one more time to pick up my daughter from work at 8:30 and then I can just stay here and relax.
Watching news updates about the storm, amazing how big it is.
