Good evening everyone!

My, my, my. November 1st! Welcome Christmas Christmas Day! I am officially playing the Christmas music out loud at home. William was singing along. Last night we had a good time trick or treating! William was a pirate and I was a Ghostbuster. It was raining but NO! That wont stop us. Never stopped US as kids! William is 3 as you know. He was trick or treating for 45 MINUTES. Thats a long time for a 3 year old. He had a bag full of candy! He was excited to keep going from house to house! Tomorrow I decorate my desk at work for Christmas. I have Christmas Santa wrapping paper that I wrap my ugly grey cube walls with. Oh what a feeling to come into work and see Santa and Christmas, instead of boring grey dirty walls! Shame shame on the dollar store. They were JUST putting out some Christmas stuff when I got there. I was hoping to come away with a big haul to put at my desk. Looks like I will have to wait. Well almost time for bed! Hope everyone has a merry merry day! Oh and the tree goes up this weekend! Ill have pictures for all to share in the festive weekend!

So! Halloween is over, and for my family that's the last milestone before Christmas. Because for our family, Thanksgiving is like the first day of Christmas; the moment we spot Santa in the Macy's parade, IT'S CHRISTMAS! We eat Thanksgiving dinner on Christmas plates, listen to Christmas music, and watch some version of "A Christmas Carol" after dinner. Instead of shopping on Black Friday, my husband and I head to Pennsylvania where we see Christmas Village, a Moravian Putz, the Christmas Museum, etc. etc. I'm so excited! I was pretty sick for a couple of months last spring, and we weren't sure I was going to be able to travel at all this year. But I'm doing a lot better these days, and I'm starting to look forward to our trip. Yay!

SO glad you are feeling better & will be able to travel!!!! It sounds great! ENJOY!

Thursday hello ... :-) Work this week has been like a continuation of Sandy---impossibly busy and rushed. Unfortunately, this weekend is going to be pretty busy too, just when I really need a little time to back off and slow down a bit. I'm enjoying seeing you bubbling over with Christmas season spirit in your posts today!

Thanks for the kindness. Things are still hanging over me. I should be giddy and dancing today, but instead I feel vague and anxious. The Christmas "vault" of music, movies, books, and other goodies is open, but I just don't FEEL it yet. I hope the spirit will catch up with me soon.

gotta run ... more work on my desk

You have been through a lot! It will come naturally when you are ready...don't rush it!!!! One day at a time... Keeping you in my prayers!

Okay, I have a bit of a rant this morning!!

So Out of pure excitement today, I posted on Fb Happy November 1st, Trees are going up today.
a couple moments later, i see another post about how People shouldn't be putting up decorations for Christmas till after November 11, Remembrance day, out of respect.

I commented & let her know that As I am very excited for The following season, That I Do respect Anything, everyone & Everything to do with Nov.11, And that only my inside decorations were going up. Well in response, I got to each their own, I don't even think about Christmas till that day is done.

This ticks me off!! I do respect Nov. 11, the veterans & all the men & women still fighting for our freedom. I wear my poppy Proud, & I always have my moment of silence.. And when I can, I go to Ceremonies to honour those fallen & still fighting. I don't mean any disrespect to those who fought for us to be free & Still do!!
I don't or didn't mean to offend anyone, but I guess I did. It just sucks, because to me, Putting up my tree doesn't me I am being disrespectful... I'm just excited.

Sometimes facebook feels like a lifestyle debate. :x

This is one thing I really dislike about Facebook! This does not sound even a little disrespectful to me. You are very capable of having a Christmas tree up AND giving thanks/respecting our veterans. We are women...we multi-task! Ha ha! But serioulsy, that's just crazy. Sorry this happened to you!

I agree! I get on facebook a little here and there but not as much as I use to. This place is wayyyyyyy better!!!!!!!!

Agreed!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, I just had my last meal at my mother-in-law's restaurant, The Anderson House, here in Bellville. She's been in business for 25 years, but now that she's in her mid-70's she needs to retire. Still, it was a sad goodbye. Nancy and I started dating 19 years ago, and I had lunch with her there everyday, and I've eaten lunch there for the last 19 years everyday since.

The place was packed! Nancy got the kids out of school early so they could eat there one last time, too. There wasn't a lot left when I got there, but I can't really eat fried foods, anyway. I had some good turnips, though!

End of an era. Whew.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Best wishes to your MIL! I hope the next chapter is a great one! But it's always sad at the end of an era!

Today began the start of Christmas music in our house!

First song: "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year", by the late-great Andy Williams

Perfect!!!

Well, the 1st tree is up in our house! I put the Buckeye tree up in the basement! I still have to put the ornaments on, but it's up, lights, garland & topper are on! The worse part is over (dragging it out of the attic & down 2 flights of stairs. Lol) I watched Mickeys Christmas Carol while putting it up & now I'm working on my afghan & watching Prancer Returns. Will be heading to bed shortly. Hope you are all having a great night!!! I'm looking forward to Chrismtas on the Hallmark Channel tomorrow night!!!!

Good Morning Christmas addicts!

I'm very busy therefore I just wanted to let you know that I'm fine.

Wish you all a great day and a awesome weekend.

Maybe next week will be less busy for me. We changed some working process and now it will take time to ajust to the changes.

Good Morning, Ever Effervescently Excited Eve'ers.
(Weekend Eve'ers, that is.)

Want to get really excited?
OK. You asked for it:
Days to the Season: 11 (SINGLE DIGITS from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 53 (Barely over 7 1/2 weeks!)

(Did that do the job?)

Sub-40's temperatures are predicted for our overnight lows the next few evenings but the days should be reasonably warm with no rain chance.
We are at a chilly 40 degrees here, currently.

OK.
You have a Fantastically Fabulous Friday, Friends!
And may your Weekend kick off Wonderously this afternoon, in the spirit of the pending Season.

Now that halloween is over and Bonfire night is almost upon us Christmas is just around the corner :)
I was meant to be Christmas shopping in London this week but on my 1st night there my purse was stolen so I'm home 4 days early. Luckily I'm going back there in December

Christmas-a-holic!! this is for you and your dear husband

We love it!!! It's mine and Wayne's very favorite Christmas cartoon! Thanks!!!
I know a number of folks who are involved in the army and none of them would be bothered by it, Brian actually starts decorating after halloween, says it gets to cold to wait longer!
I agree! I personally know a Vietnam Vet that had Christmas decorations up the first week of November. I see nothing wrong with it.

The temps have been in the mid to upper 80's this week. It will drop some this weekend. Kind of weird to have to run my air conditioner in November. Well, not really, typical Texas weather! cheesy (As soon as I finished typing this they just said the same thing on the news about running the AC in November!)

Wayne's (Snow-in-Texas) birthday is this Sunday. We will be celebrating it tomorrow since I work on Sunday. It will be a fun weekend!

I hope you all have a Merry and Blessed Day!!!

HAPPY FRIDAY, FRIENDS!! Sipping my gingerbread spice tea out of a snowman mug with the electric fireplace going and lsitenign to some Christmas tunes with my favorite little boys... could life get any better?!? :)
