Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! We are off to a chilly start here in Central Indy with a temp of 30 degree's on our way to a high of 48 today. I have some errands to run before church and then it will be home to babysit for awhile. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Afternoon all. My parents are coming over for dinner in a few hours so we are flat out cooking here. Can't believe its so close to Christmas. I think the forums might be fun this week :)

Sounds great! What are you cooking? =)

Good morning everyone! What a beautiful chilly day it is! Sun is shining, there's frost on the rooftops, hubby is out raking leaves, I am crocheting, having coffee & watching Christmas on Hallmark - it's been an awesome morning! Unfortunatley I will be cleaning soon! (at commercials...hee hee)

I just wanted to pop in & say I LOVE HAVING CHIRSMTAS MOVIES ON TV!!! & then I'm going to try to catch up on posts.

My friend & I went to JoAnn Fabrics yesterday morning. The place was packed! We had so much fun. I picked up our Chrismtas cards & too much yarn!! I made as scarf last night with that "new" (new to me) Starbella yarn. I had it done in about an hour. FUN!

Ok, I've rambled enough & now I'm off to read posts. Have a great Christmassy day!!!

I can't believe we are to single digits for the season. I can't believe it! Where did this year go? Where have the last few years gone? It seems like a week or so ago that I came here for the first time. Amazing.

Yesterday was an interesting day. My truck is closing in on 10 years old. It's been a great truck, never been in the shop, never had an issue other than having to change the oil, but I've got that itch. So yesterday, we went and test drove a couple of truck and we ALMOST got one. Let me tell you, our little plan of good cop/bad cop was perfect. She acted like she didn't want it. Of course, Mr. Impulsive was all in. So we inch them down and inch them down...and we walked out. We get in the truck and started laughing and she said....Why didn't you get it?

She had convinced me that the bad cop act was real. Agh! They were locking the doors, so I just took it as a sign as it wasn't meant to be. Oh well.

Saw some good Christmas decorations last night, but next weekend we go shopping for Thanksgiving supplies. We are soooo excited. I don't know why, it's jsut a trip to the grocery store...but it's such an event for us. Also, next week is Christmas tree weekend! So much coming up....so much excitement.

Can't wait!

Good Morning christmas chums!!!

Its a very cold morning here in the UK, only reaching highs of 5/6 c today!

Having our bonfire night tonight down at my mums, my brother and his little family are coming aswell, I'm making a chilli to take down and the girls are going to bake some cakes!!

Best get on, lots to do today!! Have a great day everyone!!

brrr that is cold! i hope y'all have a wonderful time tonight!

Hello World!!! *waves vigorously*

So much to do and so little time.........no, wait, I'm on holiday ALL WEEK so I can take all the time I like!!! I go back for a couple of weeks and then from Dec. 7th I'm off until January - how great is that???!!! How's everybody else doing???

I'm working my way through various things today which started with a long walk with the dogs. Bitterly cold but brilliant sunshine so it was lovely. I've compiled the Christmas Card Exchange List so once it closes today, we're all ready to go (point of note CLOSING DAY TODAY FOR THE EXCHANGES!!!) As Shellie said, Movies 24 is now Christmas 24 so I'll have the TV on whilst making an apple pie. Sometime over the next few days I'll have to sort out my begonias, if it isn't too late. They were stunning over the summer and I'd like to hold onto them until next year!!!!!

I may even feel inclined to bake cookies................oh, and it's the last episode of Downton Abbey tonight (unhappy smiley face) this series has flown by but luckily they're making a Christmas special!!!!

oh Mo, i would love to have that time off, lucky girl!

good morning everyone! got boxes & bins sitting every where so i think i better get busy. some times it feels a bit overwhelming......

Sunday morning, got to sleep and hour longer thanks to the time change and still tired. Have to teach jr church this morning, hope the kids do not mind all the yawning!

Going out for lunch with my brother and mom. Have to break the news to her that she cannot go to Vermont for Thanksgiving. Hopefully in 90 the insurance company will let her have travel insurance again so she can take her spring trip there.
Then off to work again at 5pm, but we close an hour earlier, so not to bad.

Have a great day everyone!

watching the lord of the rings right now...I so much love this movie and cannot wait for The Hobbit.......planning to go watch a Christmas movie with Kandice...Niko 2.....it will surely be incredibly cute.......and she is just playing her Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer game on her DS....so it is a Christmas somehow....lol

I love those movies too, Track !! My sister and I plan to see The Hobbit !!! xo

Yeah Brent!!! that's the spirit!!!!

well y'all we got our tree up & finished. i may end up putting very small slim trees up in the dining room & our bedroom. gonna get all the other stuff unpacked tomorrow. had a lot of fun today!!!:snowball:

Great to see your tree is also up and finished! I'm sure it will all look real beautiful when you're done. Aside from the tree, we don't have much else, but we only live in an apartment, so there is not much space. Oh, and nothing says fun like Christmas decorating!

Enjoy your time off, Maureen. Perfect time for a vacation. Well deserved, too!

Good morning everyone!

I used that hour of sleep to my benefit - for once. Actually, I've slept very well the past couple days. I had 10 hours of sleep yesterday and about 8 1/2 last night. After experiencing Florida last week and working all week, I am definitely refreshed!

It is certainly an accomplishment to see that we are only single digits away from the Christmas Season! Quite the reason to celebrate! It appears that the malls around here haven't began to celebrate just yet, however. There are no decorations up in the walking areas of the Rideau Centre. Perhaps they are waiting until after Remembrance Day (Veterans' Day in the U.S.). I still managed to take a few photos. I will upload those shortly.

A quick question for anyone partaking in the Christmas Ornament exchange that has done so previously... Kim and I have been searching for the perfect ornament for our partner, but we need a bit of advice. If anyone would be willing to send me a message and share their previous exchanges, it would be greatly appreciated!

On that note, have a wonderful Sunday, everyone! Christmas is on its way. Christmas commercials are starting to appear on our televisions and brighten our viewing experiences. Soon, the entire world will celebrate, too. In fact, I have heard from friends that London, England has already began their festivities. Wonderful!! Have a great one!

No extra sleep because, for whatever reason, my body just wanted to get up at the time it THOUGHT it was. Sigh....

Anyway, got up earlier, had breakfast, took a shower (all this barely after 7!), took morning meds, got dressed and took Missy on her FULL walk (and regreting I didn't wear a sweater), started cleaning a bit.....just woke up about 20 minutes ago from an hour long nap and I'm STILL pooped.

My plan for the rest of the day? Shockingly, I'm dragging out my Christmas decorations and tree today!!! Oh, and I may throw in a bit of laundry that definitely needs to be done.

Yes, as you read above, I'm doing my Christmas stuff TODAY!!! Not next weekend, where I have more time....I'm doing it NOW!!! Go figure.

Bah-hum-bug!!!!!!!!! I want snow!!! perhaps, fedex me some!? hahaha

How about UPS?

good evening everyone! how's it w/ y'all?

hubby & the kids were home before me so they got all the Christmas down from the attic. now it all begins! after i catch my breath we are gonna start w/ getting the new tree out of the box & up. it has clear lights & we are gonna add colored lights in to it.

hope y'all have a good evening!:tree:

Oh, this post got me so excited. How fun! Hope it was great!!!!

Me either!!!!!! We were talking about that last night! We were laughing because we were being so indecisive about what to do the next two weekends. We want to put up the christmas tree, put up lights, go buy groceries for Thanksgiving, start baking some sweets, work on our menus....but we can't agree on what order to do it.

What a problem to have! Lol!!!

got to do a quick read through

Had a great day of shopping picking up some really wonderful stuff at the thrift stores.
I bought a Keurig machine today, on sale at $88 from $130 plus the store was having a tax free day! Using it for my job demoing it sold me on it, I really like this machine. I only have trouble finding hot chocolate for it, but the sales clerk says they are having the same problem. So I will just keep checking and then buy a crate of it when I find it!!

AFV is having their Christmas special tonight!

You will LOVE it!! I am having a Keurig coffee now. Yum!!

Good morning!

Saturday and the sun is shining!
And it's my Dad's Birthday today!
So we are going over to my parents this afternoon.

I hope you have a wonderful day my friend!

Happy (belated) birthday to your Dad!!! Hope it was great!

Hope you've all had a great weekend.
My Christmas planning starts in full swing tomorrow, I plan to buy cards and wrapping paper and a few more gifts. All my Christmas DVD's shall be put in place of others for the next 2 months next to the TV and any cd's I have shall be uploaded to my ipod :D

Anyone have any idea how long evergreens will stay "good?" We had a LOT of trees down from Sandy in the area and I thought how nice it owuld be to collect some free garland and wreath making materials.. think it'll stay fresh for the next 2 months if I leave them outside?

Not sure exactly, but the evergreen was picked as a Christmas symbol because it represented everlasting life, so two months should be okay

Just mist them with water once every couple days and they should be fine as long as you don't get a real warm spell.
