HEY YA'LL, just checking in this a.m. hope this morning is finding everyone in good health, happy, & safe!!
sometimes on wed. we close the shop @ 1p.m. if it's slow & today i'm kinda hoping for that. my poor Daisy (toy poodle) is biting herself nonstop. i bathe her every week & it's time. with this mild winter i think there's still fleas outside & on her in here. bless her heart. i've used the pills to keep them off all the dogs but my goodness it gets expensive w/ 4 of them. they only make 1 for cats that lasts for 24 hours & i've treated the house & done all i know to do but here we are....again!
my oldest traded his car in on a newer model & just told me he needs the title to the old 1 to give the car dealer. well, dad's gone & i think it's locked up & i don't have a key. urgh! if only he would come home earlier & tell us this stuff then his dad could've gotten it for him. oh well so is the life of rents!
hope ya'll have a great hump day! love & hugs to all my mc family!

Good morning, MMC! I have been so busy lately that I have not been online very much. I've had a hectic morning so far - I slept in a half an hour late and now I'm pinched on time to get ready for class. I always like to check things on my computer first, so oh well if I'm a little late!

I am so agitated with two people in my Statistics class. In the beginning of every class, our professor asks if we need to go over a problem or two. He stresses that it should be two problems max. Anyways - there are two students in the class that make him go over everything and constantly interrupt to ask questions. The last class, we were still going over problems 45 minutes into the class that were simple and that we learned last week. He tests us often, so he likes to spend about 2-3 classes learning new material, one class for review, and then the test. Today we should be reviewing and I just have an awful feeling that they are never going to stop asking! Our class would have been out at least 30 minutes prior last Thursday if it wasn't for the continuous interruptions. I'm half-tempted to recommend the tutor center if they cannot pick up the material but I don't want to rub anyone the wrong way. We have 50 people in our class, so it really holds the other 48 of us up when they take the time away.

Sorry for the morning rant! I need to get ready now and leave in twenty minutes. My mom has a big doctor appointment today, hoping it goes well!

Have a great day!! I will be back soon!

Hope your mom's appt. went well yesterday.

Welcome back, Snowflake!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad it finally worked for you!!!!!! We were missing you around here.

Glad to see you back, I have been looking for that DVD since I saw that movie for the first time last year (2010) nice find for you! I cannot wait to get my books in.

It is GREAT to have you back. So glad your baby is on the mend!!!

Yes, yes! Great to see you again! cheesy

Thanks you guys!!! Means a lot. I missed you all so!!!!! :)

Xmas, I found the dvd on Amazon. I had been watching it for a bit- one would sell, then it would be unavailable, and then come back again. I questioned it because it said it was an all region dvd. I wondered if it really played in the US & was in English, etc. So I waited for reviews of it, and they all were good, so I finally bought it =) Let me know if you can't find it & need the seller's name.

I had a bad day, emotionally. I am not sure how other cancer patients feel, but I did not do too well with my emotions today. I had a substitute in my classroom yesterday. She gave out all the paperwork BUT not to the absent kiddo. She just threw it away!!! Today, I had to find my master sheets, make new copies, and give them to my absent student. She let my kids out 10 minutes EARLY (!!!) and told those who have After-School Intervention that since I was absent, there was NO intervention. (THOSE kids go to OTHER teachers after school.) She also told one kiddo that he could use my desk to house his clothing (!!!), and told the kids that their names on the board were just warnings and that they would not need to serve time-outs for me!!! There was one other thing, but I am so upset that I cannot remember it!!! THEN, my oncologist could not get an okay for my MRI, so there is MORE waiting!!! I burst into tears when I called my oncologist and could not talk. Sorry for venting. But these are days off my life!!!

C, that must have been so frustrating to watch the substitute come in & do such a lackluster job when it should be you up there doing what you love.
Don't even get me started on insurance companies..they're full of B.S. & insensitivity. Hopefully your doctor's office is on it, and going to contact them again until it gets settled.
So sorry you are going through this. Vent away!! You have every right, and we all care about you so very much.
We'll be thinking of you extra today. And sending hugs as well, from Har & I. xo

Hey everyone!!

I'm back in business!!!!!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*I've been thinking about you all, and missing you like crazy.*

Special thanks to Made for his help & advice to get my computer back up & running with MMC. It was so weird, blocking my IP address or something. First time I reset the router, nothing..next time, nothing..third time was the charm. Thanks again, Made!

And more special thanks to my girl Shellie, too. She kept in touch & let me know how you all were. xo

I would try to check in at work whenever possible, usually to check messages & respond were all I had time to sneak in. We moved out of one office trailer & into another, so internet was sporatic. Also, tons of office politics & changes going on, so just trying to do my work & go home if you know what I mean...

Harlowe is doing pretty good, thanks for all of the prayers! She is on new meds, we still can't say for sure what was happened, but thanks to the appetite stimulant, my girl is eating (even a little chunky for her-so cute!) and the antibiotics must be helping too. Fingers are crossed this will continue. It was so scary.

I miss Christmas so much! I still have my holiday screensavers on my office & home computers, can't seem to take them off just yet. I was so stoked to find a dvd of The Night They Saved Christmas- I bought it a few weeks ago. We used to watch that every year, but I haven't seen it on tv the last few seasons. I'm a huge Jacklyn Smith fan, too, so it was a double bonus.

Xmas, it sounds like you found some great Christmas steals! Enjoy!!

***C, you're on my mind and in my thoughts & prayers every day! Sending big hugs to you, friend. xo ***

Well, better go make dinner & spend time with the hubby.
I was so happy to come home & start up the computer to see MMC again!

Sending hugs to all of you, looking forward to catching up.

Have a great night & talk to you tomorrow!!!

~Stacey

so glad to see you back snowflake, just wasn't the same w/out you girl!!

Thanks, merry! I missed you! Hope you're able to get out early today =) Hugs to Daisy, hope she is feeling better soon. Could it be skin allergies? xo

.
when i came in from work a bit ago my dogs were waiting on me. 1st thing i do is get them treats (& they sure do remember that). they just about tackle me as i'm coming in the door. their so darn sweet though.

Mine are the same when i come in lol and when i go out scooby gets on the sofa with the 2 paws on the window sill and looks out and sometimes when my parnter is out he sits on the sofa with the 2 paws over the back of the sofa looking out. he says he does the same when am out. hes like a old man. and he can hear the jeep coming round the corner and he goes to the door and sits to see what you have bought him and sashs home

DON'T YA' JUST LOVE THEM TO PIECES?

They are so wonderful!!!!!!!! Talk about unconditional love!

Good morning MMCers. Hope you're all doing well today. I was up3 or 4 times last night. I lost count though. DS has been sick with a cold and now EA is catching it. She just woke up here and actually said to me, "Mommy, I sick." God love her. Kids melt your heart, don't they?

We have a doctor's appt. for DS at 8:30 which just actually is a routine appt. Hopefully all is good with him.

Well, DH should be home from work soon. Hope you all have a great day. Ttyl on.

Both the kids have a cold and I feel like I may be catching it, but let's hope not! Thanks for thinking of me.

Hey sugar, sorry to hear your kids aren't feeling well. Hope DS's appointment goes good today, and you have time to get some sleep in. Take good care of yourself. xo

Today is my mom's 82nd birthday. We are blessed to have her still as part of our lives. She is healthy and active and still travels often to visit family in Vermont and British Columbia. She visits the "elderly" every week at a couple of nursing homes.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!!!! It's going to be a cold day here in Central Indy with a wintry mix due to hit us later this morning. Hopefully the roads don't get nasty because I'm going to be out running most of the day. I'm going to go get my haircut and then I need to run by the library and get a new card. My sister also told me that one of the Walmart's still has some Christmas stuff so I'm going to check it out. Then I have to babysit my youngest niece while my sister takes my older niece to the doctor for a check up. I hope Carl has a good blend tonight because I'm going to need it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning, Middle-of-the-Workweek Friends.

Yes indeed!
We once again stand at the summit of the week to take in that wonderful view of the weekend.
And what better place to see it from than the upper deck at the Shispering Pines!

And what better way to accompany that magnificent view than by reading this:
Days to the Season: 293
Days to Christmas Day: 335
Barely over 2 1/2 weeks left until the one quarter Season mark will be reached!

We've cooled off again -- to 39 degrees -- but it's nice and clear with the promise of a good day ahead.
Really, so far winter has been pretty kind around here. No complaints from me!

OK.
The Pines.
And I guess it had to happen.
With all the talk of coffee vs tea, coupled wiith Carl's experimantal nature I suppose it was inevitable that camel would come up with a coffee and tea blend.
I don't know whether to be intrigued or revolted.
Shall we meet at the 'Pines and find out?

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!

I was just wondering if anyone has heard from RJD after the tornadoes in Alabama yesterday? I hope all is well with him and his family.

:hi: No, but his wife was on facebook yesterday so all is well with our RJD.

:hello: Off to work, I'll finish catching up later tonight as I journey to the Shispering Pines. Keep a merry thought in your head!

And that would mean I would miss all the hilarious jokes that Made, Xmas, Coach, Brad, and NOW CM3 would make, in addition to to operas by Binger, and the TOTAL Countdown posters!!!

Ya know what??? I just want to say that this forum is what keeps me grounded!!! Thanks from my heart!!!
I can understand why you're scared and frustrated at the same time. I'm so sorry you have to deal with all of this; I wish I could help. We're all here for you, though!

I want to send a special THANKS! to the MMC Mystery Greeter who sent me a Christmas card this week, congratulating me on becoming mayor, and wishing me a Happy First Rudolph Day in 2012!

The card was sent to Bernie's Store LOL! I never get mail there, and Bernie thought I was crazy for getting a card from a "Mystery Greeter"...LOL!!!! Thanks again!!! cheesy

Oh, and Happy Rudolph Day, everyone! :rudolph:
