Having issues with the computer tonight, I just got caught up with all the posts. I am also coming down with something again. My throat is all scratchy and my sinuses are filling up again. Just watching a little bit of The Night They Saved Christmas before bed.

Just water and robitussin. I'm doing pretty good today. I haven't had a coughing fit since this morning.

Winds are supposed to be high here in northern California through the weekend, with gusts to 50 mph. I don't mind breezy weather, but I hate high winds! I have radiation tomorrow and three days next week. Then I will be done!!! Yeah!!! TTYL, y'all.

Ballgame duty tomorrow night and back in the woods this weekend...so I will see yall hopefully before the ballgame tomorrow...

Getting ready for bed soon, hope you all had a terrific Thursday!

I am FINALLY starting to feel better today - yay!!! I have been sick for a week now.

Question - anyone know how to kick laryngitis? I am suffering so bad! My throat soreness is gone and the fever is dwindling but now I am coughing so much and my voice is practically gone. I've had a hoarse voice for three days. The cough is the worst today and at some points it's almost strangling and wants to make my stomach sick. Thanks if you have any tricks!!

Hot tea---or even hot water---with honey and plenty of lemon juice. Frequently. Not once or twice a day. And don't whisper to save your voice. Whispering is actually harder on your voice than just speaking quietly. Having said that, IANAD---this is just based on personal experience.

P.S. try sleeping with a humidifier or vaporizer, or take a steamy shower, or breathe some steam (careful, not so you don't burn yourself) to loosen the congestion a bit.

I just love when I wake up in the morning and Wayne already has all the lights turned on our Christmas tree on and the rest of the Christmas lights on in the house. It's like waking up to a Christmas Wonderland. He has done this for me every year if he wakes up before me, (I think he enjoys it too :wink. I kind of have a "Griswold" look inside my house with all the strings of lights everywhere. Wayne is the one who set the tree up this year and decorated it, he did a great job!

I do it for both of us. I love the look of a house lit only by Christmas lights. I also know how much you appreciate it.

I am not surprised he did a great job. When you do something like that for the love of your life, it always turns out great, especially in the eyes of the beholder!

Thank you Seawaters. I was actually feeling kind of sad because we usually have our tree up long before we did this year. Mostly because we have been a bit busy, and tired. So I decided to drag the tree out and start setting it up. I guess it inspired Sheila because she decorated the rest of the house, and it looks great!! Not to get mushy, but I was thinking about how 2 people get together and they say they are each other's love of their lives, then a few years later they break up. I can honestly say that I love Sheila more now than when we first got together, and as much as I loved her then, I didn't think that was possible. She truly is the love of my life!

sorry have not been on for a few days am just so busy ( am starting to sound like a broken record) i do miss ths place
Have started on my outdoor decor have 2 peices done have a good bit yet to do. the tree is up and lights on in living room but no decor on it yet
Wanted all the outside done for the 1st but i can t see it i get on great but have to stop and go to the shop at times it is only 5 minutes down the road but it takes a hour i go in and its hard to get out. People taking lol.
Got my shop window done last week. done it up wth a mickey and mnnie airblown see saw that is one of my outdoor items and a white fence round the back of t and blue lights could have sold the airblown 20 times lol
The one thing that good is the weather is cold but dry and gives it the same for a while yet.
The shop is so busy its so hard to keep it filled have pallets booked i did not take a lot this week i have a pallets of trees sittng from yesterday outside yet i have not had a chance to check them yet.
My sleep is all over the place seem to be,come 8pm am ready for sleeping i waken about 3 which is why am on mmc at 4.50 in the morning ~}
Another week and at least i will have the house all done and i will only have the shop to keep up with
Ok enough about me what about you guys ??
Reading the posts see some of you are down with sore thoats and coughs and colds hope you all feel a bit better this morning

Days to Christmas Day: 25 (barely over 3 1/2 weeks remain.)
Gee. Tomorrow is December 1st. The year has slipped away so fast!

A tad warmer yesterday and it should be warmer yet today, with no rain in the forecast.
(We could actually use some, as we are now officially in a drought situation, according to the weather service)
I read 33 degrees here, currently.

I agree 100%... You put it perfectly. I say that of my husband, he is truly my best friend. We laugh together, cry together, and now he gets all into the decorating of Christmas, still won't admit he is all crazy about Christmas but I see the change!!! LOL!!!
