OK am I the only New England Patriots fan on these forums ?? We should come up with a friendly little wager on the game for all you pats dislikers. How about if the pats win you all change your avatars to patrots emblems for the month of February?? or maybe include a little pats picture in all your posts. and if the Giants win I will do the same. Sounds like fun to me!!!

I saw you thread, cool baby cool idea!!!!
I know there is another Pats fan here, she is real sweet too!!!

I am sorry but I will opt out, I really don't like either team, and pulling for 1 will be just as bad as pulling for the other on this end of the state, I probably have to say it is 60% Pats fans 38% Giants fans 2% every other team. I will have to listen to the gloating no matter who wins. (Which is punishment enough) cheesy It's a great idea though.

Xmas!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! Gloating a New Yorker?!?!?! NEVER!!!!

Tee Hee!!!!!!!

I will be rooting for the Giants to win the Super Bowl. A rematch of the 2008 Super Bowl with the same result, I hope!!

Tom Brady is the Alex Ovechkin of football...in the sense that he is whiny, pouty, and cocky - I cannot stand him.

I am a die-hard Steelers fan, but I have no problem rooting for Eli!

Good afternoon, everyone. Just got done watching the memorial service for JoePa. It was very moving. I didn't sleep very well again today, but do somewhat better, so at least that is a plus.

Anything new with anyone? Nothing new here. DH just left for work. He is working for someone tonight, so my sister is watching the kids since we both work. Last night was horrible. I could already use another day off and I still work 4 more!

Well, off to read the boards! Have a great evening!

today is Brandi's 24th BD so I will bring her cake home with me,Im stopping at Publix (local grocer) that has the best deli and bakery in town..I ordered her a necklace which she has been hinting around that she liked and ups is suppose to bring it to work today!

Happy Belated Birthday to Brandi! Hope she enjoyed her necklace!

I hope your daughter is feeling better, and the checkup goes well for your son.

Thanks, it did! Her fever is gone, she just now has the cold symptoms. Thanks for thinking of them!

Never saw that before, not quite as daring today as I stuck with Shredded Wheat.

I had Lucky Charms today again. I told you I am an addict.

I swear, I don't know how some of the people in my Statistics class ever got accepted to college. When we all walked into class, our professor told us, "When taking a seat, make sure you are not sitting directly next to anyone, and make sure you sit in every other row." So basically he wanted space between the rows and space between people sitting by each other so no one cheated. It took 15 minutes for people to understand how to sit! :o....
Just wait until you enter the workforce with them. Then there are the ones that will already be there.

A good (wraped?) sense of humor is important.

Merry: What a great story. You know we gotta take care of the little guys/gals as they need our help.

Such a great song, you have some talent. I'll be humming it all day.

How do you do multi quotes with Tapatalk? I can't figure it out on my iPad.

We may need to start a Shispering Pines Idols contest!

Have a wonderful anniversary!

Ahhh...my all time favorite Christmas movie, enjoy!

I would just want to apologize to everyone about missing the pines last night. It was a rather rough and unexpected night. I usually don't talk about these sorts of things but I'm looking for prayers or thoughts.

I was finishing up my Rudolph Day podcast and my girlfriend came in crying. She is b]Bulgarian and a close family friend, practically family member, died unexpectedly yesterday. He was younger in his early 50's and in great shape. They found him in Yellowstone alone with no real signs of what happened. The Bulgarian community is just so small and close here it really affected her. He was like her uncle. Anyway sorry for the sad story but please help me pray for their family as they are going through a hard time.

I love coming here though. No matter what life throws at you, MMC is always cheerful and supportive! It's a great escape from life!

iliam, i'm praying for your girlfriend & her family & friends. i'm so sorry!

um, i dunno about that ron, we'll see! i think the giants will win but the thought of having a pats avatar FOR 1 DAY is a nightmare to me!

Jennifer, you had me smiling today!!! This is so funny!!!

Oh well, the test itself took me 15 minutes and I think I did really well on it! I just had a slice of pizza for lunch and now I am headed to the grocery store to pick up some things. After that I'll be spending the night on four homework assignments.

I wish you the best. Teaching is an awesome profession. I graduated 1969 but did not start fulltime teaching until 1990. It was hard to get into the system in the small town where I moved because people loved living here and not many retired or moved. Now it is MY TIME to retire!!! Yeah!!!

Apparently teaching is the most over-saturated profession in Canada, especially Ontario. That would be quite awesome if it happened though!

Another wall-to-wall day at the office ... only now checking in here. So tired from brain-work all day, and the utter stupidity in some of the documents. I read a property description that said a building's floor-to-ceiling height was 0.02 ft. And some people wonder why they need a proofreader. Thank heaven tomorrow's Friday.

Anybody else here have a Roku? We still have old analog TVs, and I got one so I could watch free Amazon Prime movies and TV on my TV instead of the Kindle Fire. Seems to work pretty well on the small set in the bedroom, but I'm going to need an A/V switchbox to watch it on the bigger set in the TV room, because both inputs are already being used. I'm trying not to get sucked into the pay-per-month digital channels, though.

Good morning, MMC!

I have my very first exam of the semester this morning in Statistics. I am a little anxious about it, I hope I do well!
. . . . .

Thanks for the good news!

How do you do multi quotes with Tapatalk? I can't figure it out on my iPad.

On the Kindle Fire, if you touch (not tap) a post you want to multi-quote (careful to avoid touching a link), the post turns yellow and a pop-up gives you the option to add it to a multi-quote. A rectangle opens at the bottom of the screen telling how many posts you are multi-quoting, and there's a button you can tap when you're ready to post. It works well except for two things: (1) I can't Thank a post when multi-quoting, because when I touch a post it adds it to the multi-quote instead of giving me the pop-up that includes the Thanks button, and (2) editing the unnecessary portions of the multi-quotes is a royal pain on the Fire. But it does work. I don't know if it works in a similar way on the iPad. I do know that Tapatalk looks and acts somewhat differently on the Fire than in the iPod Touch.

So sorry to hear the sad news. Unexpected death is especially hard to take. She and her family are in my thoughts.

Please get better soon!!!

Good news, not so good news: My tumors are NOT related!!! Yeah!!! My genetic "numbers" are in the low, middle range!!! This indicates it would be a GOOD IDEA to have chemo. Mastectomy is in my future. We will know more when the MRI results come back. I am smiling!!!

Welcome everyone! Its good old thursday again. Wow what a party at the pines! Carl was giving out free pine air fresheners! Always something good at the pines! My schedule has been changed. Thats why I havent been on for a while. But fear not I am here now heh! Not much new with us. The neighbor across the street still has his Christmas lights on. William notices them every time and lets me know. We had a light dusting of snow last night. Its not going to stick around because it will be changing to rain this afternoon. Boo urns for rain. Its been a mild winter here but I still want a big snow storm. Well I better get going to work now lol. Work always gets in the way eh? Hope everyone is doing well and feeling well. Prayers to all!

:sparkle: I paid attention to the houses two blocks away and five in a row had all their Christmas stuff still out and one still had a sleigh on the roof. Not sure if they're lighting them at night, but I imagine they are - we get away with it longer because of the snow. Across the creek, two homes still have their lights on at night. I'm happy to report, the postal carrier is still checking my office wall to see my countdown calendar even when he's in a hurry. Sometimes he stops and waves his arm at me if I'm working on the computer and my head is blocking his view of the countdown. I love that guy!
