Good morning, Christmas family

It is chilly here in NE Ohio today. It is snowing ever so slightly which is disappointing - I wanted more but at least it is snowing a little. I am hoping the accumulations that are predicted will hold up.

We admitted Wish to the hospital yesterday more for testing than anything else. I had noticed his breath was really bad and has been for a few months and the doctor told me yesterday that he could have uremia. I told the doc to do ALL and EVERY test he wants to do. It is not that I have money, I dont, but this is my child as far as I am concerned and I want him to have everything he needs.

I will let you know when I talk to the vet at noon what the tests show. I am really sad knowing that they tests could be very, very bad indicating it is "that time." I knew when Wish was diagnosed with CHF that he may not have long and at least I have been given these last seven months. No matter how long they live it is NOT ENOUGH.

But I am not giving up. I am hopeful that perhaps he just needs an adjustment in medication and/or diet. We will see.

On an incidential note, looks like the Mayans were wrong !! I really was not too concerned about this latest end of the world prediction. The way I look at it is that this is God's world, we are only the "renters" as it were and it is up to Him what happens to it. (I must say as a PERSONAL OPINION) I don't think he is too happy at the way we have trashed his rental property, again just my opinion)

Good morning, CM3! I am so sorry to hear that Wish is admitted. Your attitude toward his hospitalization is very much like my uncle's when his dog was sick. He barely had money but paid anything and everything to make sure that he was okay. I am going to be praying for him all day and hopefully when you hear the results they are very positive. I hope Wish can come home with you soon and spend Christmas with you!

Apparently, with this Mayan thing, people are telling me the Mayans said the world would go dark for three days at 11:11 AM central time today. This means it'll be 12:11 PM here. I don't personally believe in any of this stuff. People just like to make things up and make others antsy!

Again, praying for both you and Wish. Don't stress too much!

My kids are out for a couple of weeks, too. They're never so happy as when they get out for Christmas holidays!

Last day of work before Christmas---I hope it goes quickly! The other days this week have dragged by. And the weather is so "ugh" today. Very gray, dark, wet, and windy.

I'll be there tonight at least in spirit. The rest of me may be watching Christmas movies on the big screen ... time is getting short to squeeze them in! (Yeah, I know, my priorities are twisted. But Christmas movies with my Mr. trumps everything else!)

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's a miserable day here in Central Indy. I don't mind the snow or the cold but these winds need to go away. It looks like we will top out around 30 degree's today but the wind chill is going to remain in the single digits all day. I don't have much going on today. My plan is just stay warm and get ready for LOVEMAS!!!!!!!! Oh yeah!!! It's finally here!!!!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a very nice email from my (step) daughter telling me how much she appreciates how much I love and care for her kids, by spending time with each one individually when CAH and I take them out to do Christmas stuff with them. She said that even though they aren't my biological grandkids, they will never know the difference. That really made me feel good.

So here I am, hyped up on caffeine and sugar cookies, and trying to get my (repetitive, boring) work done. It's not working. I feel like I could substitute for Robin Williams this morning, and go tearing around the office shouting "GOOOOOOOOD MORNING, GLEN BURNIE!.....ARE YOU READY FOR CHRISTMAS?" Ah well, I'll just have to keep it under control till 2:00. Then I get to go to my church and run around putting up more decorations. Hopefully the caffeine and sugar rush will last till then.
