Hi everyone!!! The Christmas Pageant is opening tonight!!! SO EXCITED

I think I need to teach the maintenance staff for my apartments how to clean off a sidewalk. There are two guys walking around about 5 feet apart. The first one is throwing salt down on top of the inch and a half of snow that we got. Then the second one has a shovel clearing all of the snow off of the layer of ice that is underneath it. Since the salt was on top of the snow though, he's also taking the salt off. So now all of the sidewalks are just covered in ice. Well all of them expect mine. I learned a long time ago that I should do my own.

One of them isn't the South Bend Shovel Slayer, are they? cheesy

Yes, crazy. What a sad thing. I just don't understand what compels people to do this and I guess we never will. God only does. I am just praying for these families, as I actually know one of them. So thankful for the Pa State Police.

Good afternoon Christmas family

Well, it isn't good news about my Wish. His kidney values (BUN, creatinine, phosphorus) are SEVERELY ELEVATED which means he is in kidney failure or on the verge. He is going to be in the hospital through Christmas to see if they can bring those values down with aggressive fluid hydration and meds.

If these measures work, he will have to be on maintenance getting fluids subcutaneously under the skin weekly. That may give him 3 to 6 months longer to live if it works.

If his quality of life is GOOD then it is worth it. I have been very lethargic ever since I talked to the vet....I feel like the "stuffings" have been knocked out of me. Of course I am going to do whatever I can for him.

Sorry for all this depressing talk. I am glad Christmas is not over yet and that it is snowing here. It is so beautiful and comforting somehow.

Just finished the Santa Clause. I think I will put in Elf now to tide me over until 11:30. I will be cutting it close but I will turn Elf off if I have to!

That is what I am watching right now!!! I am at the part where Neal/Neil is questioning Charlie about fireplaces and reindeer. This is one of my favorite Christmas movies. It depicts the North Pole soooo well!
