Oh Mo......Don't worry !! I will ALWAYS send you a card even if you do forget xo

Me, too!

jennifer91: Good luck with the online scheduling!

Christmasstar: I hope you got your trip to London in before the next wave hit. We ended up with half an inch of snow/sleet. The side and secondary roads are very slippery as are the parking lots and sidewalks. It is getting very cold out with the wind chill. Glad to be home!

MerryCarey: I love your attitude!

xmas: hope you feel better soon!

Good evening, Christmas family!

Great day at work today - fun and productive. I did make it to the Goodwills, but they were both having their Sunday sale today and so were quite picked over. I'm glad to be home - it is cold out. Mouse is wanting me to spend some time with her, so I am going to call it a night on here.

Have a MERRY evening!!!!!!!!

I ran to the store this afternoon and while I was there I found one of those small plastic trees that plug into the usb port on your computer. It was marked down to a dollar so I got it to leave out all year. I figured it will help on those dark nights when I'm missing the beauty of Christmas lights.

Good afternoon, Christmas friends~

Hope you all are doing well.

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to stop by and say hello! Just sitting here & listening to Music Choice- Sounds Of The Seasons, and trying to catch up as much as I can here

My parents left yesterday, was hard to see them go. The house is so quiet. We got all of our indoor Christmas down, my parents helped. I still have the blues, can't seem to shake them just yet. It does help to come here, though =)

Back to work on Wednesday- doctor appointment/surgery tomorrow. Hope to find out more. And I really hope they use a lot of anesthesia!!!

CM3, thinking of you with your appointment on Friday.

I just started a thread in Christmas Together called Prayer Requests for those who need some extra thoughts & prayers. Not sure if this has been done before, or not. Maybe this way we can also keep better track of what's going on in each other's lives for when we fall behind in the countdown. I know I feel really bad when I missed some posts, or something important that one us needed extra prayers for.

Here is the link:

Not sure I did that the right way, not the most computer literate, if not someone help me out

Anyways, off to take Harlowe on a car ride to look at the last of the Christmas lights. Hope you all have a nice evening!!

:tree:

Darn it!!! I knew there was somewhere else that I wanted to go. Maybe tomorrow.

It is freezing here. The wind chill right now is 5 degrees and it looks like it's going to be -10 overnight. I'm glad that I don't have to go anywhere early tomorrow morning.

I'm baaaaack.

Christmas recap: Christmas was great (bus ride to Tampa sucked but whatever) and everyone LOVED their CDs! YAY!! We had an early birthday celebration for moi (my b-day is tomorrow! January 3rd!) Christmas night.

The week between Christmas and New Year's my supervisor was nice enough to let us leave an hour early and on Friday, I got to leave at 3! I was so happy!

On New Year's Eve I cleaned and cleaned and CLEANED! Took down my Christmas cards and decorations. Put away my tree. Took some wet paper towels and cleaned counters and tables and shelves. Cleaned the inside of the toilet and tub. Cleaned the kitchen floor (it needed it!) and refridgerator (still trying to figure out how those stains got there!). Whew! I just like the idea of ushering in a New Year with a clean apartment, ya know?

Anyway, yesterday (New Year's Day) I cleaned some more, organized the jewelry box my sister gave me for Christmas and went to the mall. I ended up buying a small calendar for work, some books, and earring backers that were on sale. Also went to VS but that was because they always have great sales.

Today I've just been uber lazy but I DID watch the Tournament of Roses Parade. (Did anyone else catch the AWESOME Donate Life float?? cheesy) I also worked out a bit to my Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred DVD. Her 30 days = 90 days for me HA!

Tomorrow is my b-day and I plan on using a casual day pass b/c A.) It's my b-day and I do NOT want to dress up and B.) We're getting a wicked cold front and I'd much rather being wearing comfy pants and boots!!

Alright, I think I'm done. How is everyone else?

Enjoying a little bit of the Rose Bowl, about to eat supper. Kinda tired, it was a long day at school. Tomorrow will be much easier. I sure am ready for kids to come back.

About to settle in and watch a movie with the wifey....see everyone later!

I don't know if you like to read or not, but I have found that reading Christmas books helps me greatly!

Do you have any suggestions on where to start? Maybe your favorites.

will start reading my Christmas books now, especially the Time-Life one MerryCarey directed me to last January.)

what's the title? I'm looking for some good reading material:-)

I come here and see the countdown yaerly and always saddened when the christmas holidays go bye fast. You make it go bye faster to get here though. . this year i'm going to try to catch this forum daily. we'll ease the pain

I am fabulous thank you very much!
Glad you had a great time and are now back again!

If you're the old-fashioned type, here's a fine little book from 1910 that you can read online, because it's in the public domain. This article in the MMC Christmas Library tells about it.

what's the title? I'm looking for some good reading material:-)
"The Time-Life Book of Christmas"---they've published a few editions, but this one that was published in 1987 is my favorite. It's out of print, but you may be able to find it through eBay or BookFinder.com. It's one of the best Christmas browses I have---photos, articles, recipes, stories, crafts, it's all there.

We sadly took our tree and decorations down today.
....All except for our wreaths. Couldn't bring myself to take them down, yet.
Maybe on the 12th day of Christmas......
I left the lights around my doorway up along with a small village, table top tree and mistletoe! I wasn't ready to take it all down yet.
ready for 2012 christmas to get here.
Welcome to the Countdown!

I know if I check our Goodwill and they have stuff I will buy it. I don't need anymore Christmas decorations! I didn't even get everything out this year because there is so much. It's just so tempting to buy more. It's funny because I have no other obsession of buying anything else, not even clothes, handbags and shoes, JUST CHRISTMAS STUFF! I have to stop myself all the time! I actually did well this year in NOT BUYING things.

I would love to have one of those trees!!! I need to keep an eye out for that.

Welcome back! Happy early birthday to you!

I sure hope that game was better than the one last night!!!

I agree!!!!

Good evening all! Just get home about 30 minutes ago and the roads are HORRIBLE! It has only snowed probably 2 inches, but what was there early had melted prior to this snow falling and froze. The black ice was really bad. Wrecks everwhere.

I am just glad we are home safe!

Proud Penn State girl right here!!

Me too! I have been a diehard fan since I've been a little girl and I'm also a graduate from there.
