DH is taking me to see Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney this summer in Pittsburgh. We've seen them both before, but never together. I think it will be truly AWESOME.

That sounds like a Great Concert!!!!!

Just wanted to mention everyone next tuesday I have to go to court to be a witness in an court case...I have known about it since december 2nd when I got the supeona. It's a divorce case of a friend of mine but I really really hate being called as a witness...makes me very very nervous thinking about it,this could be why I have had trouble sleeping the last few nights..I will be so relieved after it's over! it's a 2 hour drive to the courthouse so I have to miss work that day too. Everyone who prays please do so for me! Feb 14th at 11 am thanks!!!

My prayers are on the Dawg. That would have me a nervous wreck too.

Well, since I am not feeling the best, I am going to hit the sack a little early tonight for my nap.

Hope everyone has a great night. I will talk to you all tomorrow.

Well I would like to thank mother nature for her help last week while the super bowl festivities were here. The average temperature was 54.7 degrees last week compared to the normal 37 degrees. That makes it the warmest first week of February ever in central Indy. It looks like winter is going to return on Wednesday though with snow and a high of 35.

Are things getting back to normal there yet? I see a lot of the media from here is already back on their regular shows and stations.

It's starting too. The media are all back in their studios and the stages and zip line should be down by the end of the week. The big Lombardi Trophy decal on the outside of the Marriott will be the last thing to come down at the end of next week.

Yeah! 8 dozen sugar cookie hearts baked! These are going to be decorated at our coffee time on Wednesday morning.

But for some reason Christmas songs are going through my head as I bake!

I also went thrifting and one of the stores was having a bag sale, so for 2 dollars I bought 20 CDs, mostly jazz, and 8 books, mostly mysteries. I also got all the laundry done - 8 loads.

what a deal! 20 CD's, 8 books and 8 loads of laundry for only $2, I'm impressed!

Good evening friends. Looks like lot's of folks really enjoyed the super bowl festivities yesterday. I had a great time as well. Wishing you all great rest of the week.

Good evening, Christmas family. I met with the retirement person and I am ready to go!!! Tomorrow I have two doctors' appointments, so hopefully I will know more on my surgery and treatment. Today, I went into Barnes and Noble and bought the Tablet, which is charging even as we speak. I thought it would be good for me to use to watch movies and/or read when I have chemo. As soon as it charges, I will see what all it can do. I hope everyone has a great rest of the evening.

Christmasstar, why don't you copy and paste what you put on my CaringBridge site. I am still laughing over that one!!!

((((((((SEAWATERS))))))))

AuntieM: I will keep Bekki and her family in my prayers!

RJD: a belated Happy Birthday to your wife!

LB: a belated Happy Birthday to you, too! Congrats on your G-Men winning!

Sugar: I hope you get over your cold quick!

Me, too!

I like the Weather Channel, too - since we no longer subscribe to any programming, I had to like them on FB for updates.

That's a warm day in Mid-Michigan

I hope LC is better soon!

I'm so glad you got such good news on your mom! I hope she keeps getting better. I will keep praying for her. You are right, worrying is not fun. It is very hard when you take care of your parents and have to go to all their doctor appointments and are carrying a full course load plus at school. I have been there and done that and would just like to remind you to take care of yourself, too!

I will keep you in my prayers, Dawg!

I'm so glad you had such a good time - what great seats! Last time I saw them, they put on somewhat of a show, which I missed most of as I was watching Nikki Sixx the majority of the time I hope you have a great day! Hugs to Harlowe!

Tee hee hee! He is pretty awesome! He's my Sister-In-Law's favorite, too! Hope your day has been great as well! Har thanks you for the hugs, and is sending them back to you right now =) xo

Good afternoon, MMC!

Gosh - I love Mondays! I am feeling one thousand percent better than yesterday - had a migraine all day, one of the worst I've had in a long time. Today the sun shined most of the day and I was able to go for a walk - did not meet up with any snakes - that is always a great thing! I also went thrifting and one of the stores was having a bag sale, so for 2 dollars I bought 20 CDs, mostly jazz, and 8 books, mostly mysteries. I also got all the laundry done - 8 loads. I actually like doing laundry - I just don't like going to a laundromat. One of these days I will get a washer and dryer! The good news is that Palmer did not make a mess while I was gone. Yesterday she wiped another plant of mine and my brother corrected her. Today she is being an angel - I don't know what he said to her, but is seems to have worked. Just have to do dishes and I can call it a day - my energy is starting to deplete somewhat.

Sorry you had a rough day yesterday. Migraines stink. Are they hereditary for you? I had them much more when I was younger, used to be on prescriptions for them. My dad gets the cluster migraines. And I only get them nowadays with stress or seasonal weather changes. Anyways, so happy to hear you are better today, Meceka!!

What great finds you got at the thrift store!! I want to go shopping w/ you :)
Hugs to sweet little Palmer & Mouse!

I hope you are having a MERRY day!!!

LOL, I found this today and I thought I'd share it with you guys. You all love Christmas as much as I do, so maybe you'll find it to be just as entertaining as I did!

Too cute, Jennifer! Very funny!!

Sorry I just ate the last one.

Yeah! 8 dozen sugar cookie hearts baked! These are going to be decorated at our coffee time on Wednesday morning.

Bummer, can't blame a girl for trying!! Now Christmasstar is making me crave sugar cookies :-D

Good evening,

Another long day, I am so tired lately. I don't have any plans tomorrow, just resting my foot, I am so disappointed, I was planning on lacing up my hockey skates up in Vermont for during our stay at the Inn for the wedding, but my foot will not let me. It has been years since I have laced them up. I use to when I was in high school play hockey on the frozen ponds from the time I got home from school until I couldn't see when it was dark, I miss that so much.

If anyone is looking for anything Christmassy tomorrow, "A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas" is coming out on DVD and Blue Ray. I won't buy it yet, but I do have it on my Netflix Que. It looks funny, if you like that type of humor.

Have a very good night everyone!

Now that I have the Tablet, I will have to check out BlueRay and Netflix.

Hey everybody! It's hard to believe how much time has passed since the last time I logged on! This winter is flying! Our Ohio weather has been so mild & sunny (knocking on wood - I don't want to jinx us!!) I just love it. Of course Saturday morning we got some snow - big wet flakes, & it was so pretty!!! Just when I think I don't even care anymore if it snows this year b/c the warmer/sunny weather is so awesome - it snows & I love it again!! :)

Seawaters - prayers going up for you! I hope your doc appts go very well tomorrow & you get your questions answered. I hope you go through your chemo as "easy" as my brother did. He really seemed to breeze right through it - he kept wondering when all this horrible stuff he has heard about was going to happen & it never did. May the same be true for you!

This same brother is having total shoulder joint replacement surgery tomorrow. I sure hope that all goes very well for him!!! Many years of swinging a hammer has worn down his shoulder & it's time to fix it tomorrow! He is a private contractor so hopefully this surgery & rehab will have him back to work....they told him an 8 month recovery. YIKES!!!

I hope you are all having a great night. I am going back to read at least the last day of posts to catch up with what's going on around here!!

Have a great night.

Thanks, Holiday. That is great news about your brother's chemo. I, too, hope mine goes smoothly. I hope he doesn't have to be off work too much, but he will definitely have to be off. I had rotator cuff surgery in October, and I still have major twinges; and I don't even swing a hammer!!!

Thanks Sugar!! she is doing better over the weekend, she was basically devastated and inconsolable(sp) the day it happened, but I can understand especially with her being the one who found the dog on the street after it happened:( but I think although she does not want to adopt another dog I know she will find another critter to give her love to eventually!!

I can certainly understand that !! I will be praying for her. It is so hard to lose a loved one whether it is a furry one or a "hairless" one xo

Praying for you Dawg....I would be anxious too ! xo

I had to appear as a witness in a dispute between one of my best friends and his brother. There were a lot of hard feelings in his family (four brothers) after their parents died. A couple of the brothers got greedy and it actually led to a fistfight between my friend and one of his brothers one afternoon while I was there. A pretty intense fistfight.

I was super uncomfortable going to the hearing because, even though Joey is a great friend of mine, I know all of them well. Anyway, we got it behind us, but none of the brothers speak to the others now. Over money! Sheesh.

Fighting over money is the STUPIDEST THING I have ever heard/seen !! It seems inevitable when someone passes sometimes.....the very time people should pull together and greed enters the picture !!! I had it happen to myself, actually. When my first husband's mother passed away a few years ago her family acted like I was only there to get what I could. I had known her since I was 16 when David and I met and she was like a mom to me. I will never forget how I was treated at her funeral........

I just got back from taking LC to the Dr. The Dr. said it looks like it may be a touch of what myself and JP had last week. Hopefully he will sleep through the night tonight.

Oh Xmas....I am so sorry LC is ill. I will pray that he gets over it super quick and I hope your foot is feeling better !! xo

That sounds like a great deal on the CDs !! I hope your head is better. Almost nothing worse than a migraine (((Hugs)))
