Christmas Countdown - 2012

Going to be a nice sunny day here.
Going to be making some treats for Easter...chocolate covered homemade marshmallows, pretzel sticks with caramel and chocolate, and a few other things that I have not yet decided on. I have 4 baskets to fill. A cake to make and decorate for tomorrow.
Cake decorating class with the kids on Wednesday to get ready for.
Other than that I really have nothing to do.

It all sounds lovely and dont think you need anything else more to do.. do you ?? lol

I had done a whole long post and somehow I lost it. I have to hurry to work now but I hope all are having a wonderful Christmassy day.

Hermione's first day of puppy class was very traumatic for her. I will explain later.

Made - I hope your niece is okay !! I still think it is neurological. Too bad a CAT scan or MRI can't be performed. But then I am not a doctor....It is just my gut feeling.

I took yet another test for a job at another company and FAILED. I am about to give up on myself. Stupid is as stupid does I guess.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wowowow, it's been a busy week! I haven't even had time to post here during the week, much less on the weekend! Hopefully, this week will be better.

I worked all day at Bernie's Saturday. The plan was for me to work every other Saturday, to give Bernie some time off. He's 75 now, so you'd think he would enjoy a Saturday off every now and then, right? Wrong. He was at the store all day Saturday. Shoot, if he's gonna work all day, I'd like another Saturday off!

Yesterday we had our Easter egg hunt at church, after service. We grilled burgers and dogs, and the ladies brought more food than the 50 or 60 of us could eat. After that, someone setup some cornhole goals. I'd never played before, but I loved it! Jacob and I DEMOLISHED the preacher and his son!! LOL

After that, we had another egg hunt at Bernie's brother's home, Uncle Billy. We had another huge meal, and did some fishing. What a great day!

Don't say that, you are not stupid! I know a stupid person by talking to them and the way that they type - you are far from it! If you ask me, tests can be a major waste of time and a lot of them ask questions that are twisted and too confusing. Keep trying at it and don't give up! I'm going to have to find a job in a year and a half or so and I know that I can expect failure before success. Keep going until you get something that makes you happy!

You might try another 3,4,5 6 befour you get another job.
Never never give up on yourself. as if you have no faith in yourself. who will have?
Am sure its disapponting ,but you have to keep trying. and your get there.

A little temporary breathing space at the office today, so hello, everyone!

Our stereo amplifier died last week after a long and useful life. (I bought the system in 1984!) I don't have the space to get a new system and a cabinet (today's units won't fit in the old cabinet, which is rickety anyway), so we'll probably get a single table-top unit that incorporates a turntable, cassette player, CD player, and radio. We found one online that will even allow you to burn tapes and records to CD while you play them, for a price that is less than buying a new system and cabinet. Looking forward to it!

I've been starting to think about Christmas in July. I've never celebrated it before, but I may do it this year---make some cookies, buy some treats I'd normally reserve for Christmastime, listen to some Christmas music, do some Christmas shopping, etc. I thought Mr. might pooh-pooh the idea, but he even suggested getting some turkey from Boston Market and fixing up a Christmas dinner! Something fun to look forward to after vacation and July Fourth.

Thanks, MerryM! It was so refreshing and to not constantly be running on my feet. It almost actually kind of feet weird though too. It will be back to the ole' same routine tonight though I'm afraid!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a warm day here with a high near 82. I'm once again babysitting today. At least my sister comes home tomorrow night. I'll probably spend most of my day going through all of my sister's cookbook's looking for new recipe's to try. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
