Good monday all! It was downright cold this morning! I ran my heat all the way into work this morning. Tonight it will get down to 40F which is all time record low for my town this late April! today is just beautiful though a tad windy but all in all a pretty day. I hope this week goes by fast. We will soon be under 200 days to the season.!!! already less than 200 until Halloween 2012!!! have a great day everyone!

What kinda candy, Made? I gave up sweets for Lent so I haven't tried new recipes lately. My goal this year was so make some new recipes all year so I am not in a mad dash to try out new cookie and candy recipes come Oct/Nov/Dec! I made one of my fave cookies - chocolate crinkles - yesterday. Mmmm.

It's Great to see you back here in the countdown!!!!!! I guess it just took a little bit of snow to get you back in the groove.

It is really cold here today... Thank you for thinking of Ivy
She seems to be doing okay....I think I was just panicking a little but I am still going to talk with her doctor today ...I will let you know what he says... I have to find out exactly what symptoms I should be watching for... She is always and has always been a little on the heavy breathing side...I just have to figure out what is baseline and what is not

Am no vet but i did my time as a vet nurse so maybe i can advise a little bit
As long as the dog is in good from and eating and showing no signs of being breathless. there will be times of course she will be a bit if she is excited . if her breath is fast or normal thats ok it when it wood be long and deep.like it hards work for her to breath i wood worry more. and if she is eating and not losing any weight thats a ok sign
Suppose what i wood be watching for is..fever, fatigue, weakness and loss of appetite

Good morning, MMC friends! Hope you're all well. For you who are under the weather or who don't have energy, I hope you feel better soon.

Today is my day off, so instead of going to bed for a few hours, I am ruffing it and staying up. I didn't feel too tired when I came home, so I decided to stay up. DH, the kids, and I are going to do some running around here soon. I think we may go out later for my birthday.

Nothing new here going on. I am just glad for a day off. I am planning on relaxing!

Just another reason why I decided to leave my old company.......I know there are a lot of people who do not think of pets as family but I explained the situation to them and told them that Ivy needs monitoring until my husband comes home......I asked if I could work a rediuced schedule this week since it is my last week.......It would have been 4-9 instread of 1-9.......Do you know they said NO ?? !!!! And the thing is I have the vacation time to cover it.........What an inflexible bunch......GRRRRR....

I hope everyone is doing okay. Ivy is on the couch by me and breathing normal for her.....Wish is running around after having gotten stuck behind the dryer and needing a rescue on one of his adventures and Hermione is being Hermione....ALL puppy and NO BRAINS......Clancy is keeping vigil laying her house. Smokey and Lily are off doing "secret kitty things" as kitties will do. I am drinking coffee to wake up since I have a full afternoon ahead......What would it have hurt them to let me cut 3 hours a day from my regular schedule especially as this is my last week?? Good grief........

hey ya'll, real quick, my sister called & told me about this recipe for a dessert my niece made for her bible study the other night. i mean how easy can ya' get?

4 or 5 ganny smith apples-chopped
4 regular snicker bars-cut up
1 carton of cool whip

mix & enjoy!

all this talk about ya'll baking is kill'in me!!!!
