yeap, i was @ work on saturday morning & my son came in (he works there on fri. & sat.) & said that SEWAGE HAD BACKED UP IN OUR TUBS, SHOWERS, & TOILETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yuck!!!!!! Two words of advice- Backflow Preventer.

As for the Kentucky Derby - I LOVE it! I love the hype leading up to the race, it makes for a fun day. I picked Daddy Nose Best and Hansen. Hansen was in third for a while and I really thought was going to gain the lead near the end - but Hansen was too exhausted and fell back. My mom picked the winner last year and she did it again this year with I'll Have Another! I am going to tell her to seriously bet next year because it's crazy she was right two in a row!

Mr. was pulling for Hansen---he always goes for the grey horses. But he didn't go for Creative Cause because, in the advertising business, the writers and designers are called "creatives," and they're real PITAs for us proofreaders sometimes.

am glad they pulled it up. when your on a horse you will no if there is something not right
Daddylonglongs is a irsh horse he is trained by o brian and he is one of the biggest trainers in ireland he wons a lot of big races over here,

Yes, they said on TV he was an Irish horse---handsome, too! I wonder if he was named after the Jean Webster book from 1912. Love that book!

Just wanted to stop in and say hello. Tomorrow is my day off and I will get caught up then. Talk to you all soon!

Brad - A very happy birthday to your dad... I know he is still with you xo

Good evening, Christmas family. Hermione had her last puppy kindergarten class today. I am so proud of the puppy she has become. She still has a couple of issues when shet gets really tired but she has come full circle and is such a wonderful, good girl. Her graduation photo is supposed to be available this Thursday on line. I don't know if it will be but if it is and if I can copy it, I will post it here...........Now. The reason I called my self an idiot or as one of my TV heroes, Monk, says, "Here's the thing": Training on May 1 with the new company was really draining, as training always is. It was really quite confusing. The platform they work off of had about a zillion things to remember. That was okay. I still typed some reports and they all went to QA which is usual for a "newbie". In fact, I expected that. The next day I got on early in the morning, still having some trouble learning the platform but doing better. On the 3rd they made me take training a second time. If it would have helped ot taught me something it would have been fine. As it was it only wasted an hour out of the time I was supposed to be typing. That was strike one, it made no sense to me. Once I had enough documents in QA I began to review them fully expecting there to be errors as I was so new. However, the errors were NOT medical errors. Everything that was marked incorrect was something petty. At least I consider it petty to mark something wrong because a comma is in the wrong place or a hyphen. I know it is very important to be grammatically correct but in the world of transcription, believe me, doctors ARE NOT grammatically correct. As long as the content is pretty much accurate such as patient name, medications, etc., then those are the really important things, NOT if there is perfect punctuation. Plus one of the things which was marked wrong was a doctor dicated "right nares". Nares is plural. Naris is the correct word when speaking of one I believe, yet even though I typed the grammatically correct word it was changed to a plural. Strike two.

Feeling very discouraged and upset and like I did not know what they wanted, I got on really early again on Friday. By 10 or 10:30 a.m. I was out of work. I notified my team leader and told her and she said shew was aware and that "Dr. So and So should be sending in work soon...." It never happened. I checked for two hours and NOTHING. Not one stitch of work and no offer to find me anything. Strike three. I do not get an hourly wage. I get paid PER LINE. I cannot afford to sit there with NO WORK ALL DAY.

So I called my old company and they said yes, they wanted me back. Now even though I abhore 1-9 it is stable work and the work does not run out. I need stability right now before I get behind on the bills. That is why I called myself an idiot - Because I went back to my former employer, assuming they don't change their minds. I did not know what else to do.......

So there you have it....Back to the beginning again......I think.....

Solice - I hope you are okay xo

(((HUGS))) to all especially Ella, Snowball, Gomez, Chico, Snickers, Palmer, Mouse, Bo, Victor, Penny, Pocket, and all furkids everywhere. xo

You are not an idiot, I did the same thing 12 years ago, I left my company I was working for another, my first day at the new place and I HATED it, I sneaked into an office and called my former employer, they took me back no questions asked. I left them again a few months later for good, but it was a necessary step in my life to see the grass isn't always greener.

Goodnight everyone!!! Another start to a _____tastic week it seems!!! Work all day up all night, repeat 5 days until the weekend....School gets out next weds around here although the local uni is out already so the population in the town has shrank by half which is good I guess....anyhow hope everyone has a good week...talk to yall later!!!

I am SO ready to be back here! It's been awhile!!!

I wanted to thank everyone for their kind wishes on here and in private messages I received regarding the passing of my uncle. I will miss my uncle and I will miss Christmas Eve over there, a tradition that has been going on for over 30 years. Our family has been so busy and still have some matters to settle with my uncle's house. It has been a sad time but we are a strong family and we will get through it!

The family gave me all my uncle's Christmas decorations. They know how much I love Christmas!

Time to move forward like my uncle would have wanted it!

I am ready to countdown the days until Christmas in July and Christmas! cheesy

Glad to see you back, you have been in my thoughts. I received a lot of my grandmother's Christmas decorations after she passed, I have her with me every Christmas now. I cherish them.

Good morning, MMC. Another Monday approaches us, but I hope this one goes by quickly for all who work! Before you know it, it'll be Friday again with the weekend to enjoy.

I need to desperately catch up on posts, but first I wanted to ask to those who pray to please keep my friend and her mother in your thoughts and prayers. My friend lost her grandma less than a week ago and her father died this morning. I can only imagine what she and her mother are going through. Her mom lost her mother and her husband within days of one another. Thank you!

Now I am going to back-track and catch up. I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

I will keep them in my thoughts

Good evening,

Another busy day at work, tomorrow I am looking at probably a 12 hour day, but I talked to my boss and he understood my point about the fact that everyone else was offered a 3 day weekend except myself and another guy, so he granted me a 3 day weekend, he felt it was fair to do that, I thanked him over and over. So I have Friday, Sat. and Sun. off. I just watched 2 Christmas episodes of Married With Children, so wrong but so funny. I better get ready for some zzzzzzz.

Good night Christmas bunch!

What's the exact date for QVC CIJ show?

It should be July 21st and 22nd. I'm guessing that the 21st will be mainly decor and the 22nd will be mainly gifts.

hey ya'll! wow i have missed you guys sooo much! 3 days & i couldn't stand it any longer. hubby arrived home on friday & we pretty much didn't leave each others side all weekend. well the fact that we had so much going on w/ this house & property of ours had alot to do w/ that.....

yeap, i was @ work on saturday morning & my son came in (he works there on fri. & sat.) & said that SEWAGE HAD BACKED UP IN OUR TUBS, SHOWERS, & TOILETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my goodness, what a mess i came home to. hubby & sons had to dig forever to find the tanks outside & i had to wait for that to get fixed before i could start clean up since we had no water. we have a pumpstation, tried to get a septic tank when we bought this property but DHEC wouldn't let us. this has never happened although we've had lots of problems w/ it. turns out the drain was clogged. URGHHHHHH!#%@#@!!*)%@#!@%&*
spent saturday & sunday cleaning...thoroughly cleaning!!!

anyhoo, did i tell ya'll how much i missed ya'll? in the little bit of down time i had, i tried to hang w/ hubby instead of getting on the computer. i know ya'll understand. i kept trying to be positive, i told hubby 100x how good it was that he was here when it happened because i would have called a plumber & been charged an arm & a leg.

yuck! I can just imagine the smell....hope you get it all fixed quickly.

Oh, I WISH I had the Shiny Brite ornaments that were on the tree when I was a tot ... I got a box of the Radko repros, but they just aren't the same. I can still see the originals in my mind's eye.

Mr. got me a shaved ice machine and a bottle of orange syrup for a gift, 'cause the local stores don't sell orange slushies anymore. Tried the machine out for the first time tonight, and ... nothing. It just doesn't run. :-( He got from a company online, so I hope they'll make it good.
