Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be hot here in Central Indy with a high of 92 degree's. The extended forecast actually shows the next 7 days in the 90's. So I'm going to be pretty miserable next week and my air conditioner will be getting a work out. In honor of National Man Day my plan for today is to go shooting with a friend this morning. It's been a while since I've been to the range so hopefully I'm not to rusty. Then it will be home to watch some nascar coverage. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are a little over five weeks to Christmas in July!!! Flying across the country to New Jersey next week to visit family. Will be there for a week and will be going to the Jersey Shore for a few days. Maybe I will see Snooki. Anyone else going on vacation?

Its going to be a busy one with friends coming down on Saturday and then I'm cooking a big lunch for Fathers day on Sunday!

This year, June has started off so much better than what it was last year. We have only reached highs in the mid 90's. MUCH BETTER than last year when the highs were 100+. We have also had some cool days. I am loving it!!! Now if we can keep those temps for the rest of the summer I will be so happy! :rudolph:

Friday hello! As they say in Les Miz, "One [Work] Day More"! We'll be heading out on vacation Monday afternoon. We'll be spending a lot of time with Gloria Jean, so if you want us to pass along a message to her, PM me or send me an email this weekend.

caninemom3, stick with it ... anything new is hard until we work at it, and then it becomes an everyday activity. Don't expect to be good at it right off the bat ... that will come with repetition and familiarity. I have confidence in your ability to master it. Just don't let your newbie feelings overwhelm you, and you'll be fine.

Anyone else having problems with MMC running slow today?

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's my Saturday off at Bernie's tomorrow, so I get to cut the grass...yippee! I really don't mind riding the mower, as long as my son runs the string trimmer.

This city water system has kept me away from home till after 10pm every night this week. This is going to STOP. Last night it was 10pm again. Since our town is so small, we don't have a full time office staff. We meet once a month, and we all sort-of take calls as we need to during our regular business days. Since we're not staffed, we've never had internet service, or even a phone, in the City Hall. The problem is, these days you HAVE to answer questionnaires & fill out reports online. I take some of it home to do, but I almost always forget a file and have to go back to City Hall for it. The majority of the paperwork and online reports has to do with the water system, so I'm planning to ramrod the hiring of this contractor.

I heard about it on the local news this morning. The male newscaster, weatherman, and traffic guy were all eating a big box of donuts and a plate of ribs in honor of it. :lol:

I am going to go get ready for my day. My dad is not very happy with me this morning! He was mad that I went out with a 28 year old last night. I don't think that's too bad since I'm 21. Maybe that's just me though? Hopefully he is in a better mood when he gets home from work tonight. Usually he is on Fridays' because he loves the weekend.

I just finished up work for my class and work for my job, and soon I am going to take it easy and go for a walk or something. I am in the Christmas spirit since I was at my grandpa's yesterday. He left out a container in the kitchen that has snowmen on it, so that made me happy! Oh, I wish December would hurry up!

Good morning, everyone! How are you all doing today? I am well. I am determined today to get caught up the Countdown. Kids are at daycare and DH is at work, so I should be able to do it!

All the talk on here about Christmas is really getting me into it. I am drinking my coffee out of my Santa mug and I think I may listen to some Christmas music today. I still haven't got to listen to the new podcast either, so I think I'll do that today as well.

What is everyone up to this weekend? I am working, which is my normal weekend to work, but then I also work next weekend. I work two weekends in a row, that way I can have the last weekend in June off, so DH and I can go to Pittsburgh for our anniversary. We're going to see the Tim McGraw/Kenny Chesney concert while we're there. The benefit of working to weekends in a row, so that I get to weekends off in a row.

Well, off to do some reading. Hope everyone enjoys their day. By the way, I don't think I thanked everyone for the kind posts while I was away - thanks for all your kind words for a safe trip and a fun time! I appreciated all your posts! Okay, have a great day and keep smiling!

We dads tend to be protective of our girls! Seven years difference in age isn't too bad, I'm five years older than Nancy, but it sounds better when you're older. If a twenty-two year old asked you out when you were fifteen, I would forgive your dad for shooting him. :lol:
