Wayne and I plan to start taking a few decorations down today. I plan to leave my little tree up but will take the big one down. I would leave it up longer but it's about the only chance for Wayne to help me since he is off work today. I know I can take it down by myself but with his help it just makes it so much easier to "let go"!

Bring on Christmas 2012!!!

I hope everyone has a Merry Day!!! :!!

Xmas365, very funny what your wife said!!!!

Christmasstar, enjoy your snow! Send some our way with those fans of yours!

Good morning, everyone!

This break from college has been both a good thing and a bad thing for me. I have really enjoyed spending time with friends/family, shopping, enjoying the Christmas season, watching movies, etc - but the problem I am having is staying up way too late. I find that I can't get myself into bed before 1:30 in the morning! I have been wanting to get up earlier, but I can't even drag myself out of bed by 10:30. I really need to fix this bad habit because I start college next week and one of my classes begins at 10 AM!

I am going to have to get organized today so that I can call to schedule for my online classes tomorrow. My college lets us schedule in October for the spring, but they make us wait until a week before classes start to schedule online classes. I will be on the phone at 8 AM on the dot trying to get through. Wish me luck! Hundreds and hundreds of students will be calling and fighting trying to get scheduled for the online classes they want - I dread it. Last time I waited on hold for ten minutes just to get hung up on.

Originally, various weather channels/organizations called for around 4 inches of snow for us today. It looks like we're only going to get a half an inch, top. We were supposed to get way more, but it's only flurries and I don't think it's going to pick up.

Have a nice morning/afternoon everyone :)

Gosh, look at all these posts already! I'm absent for one day, and wow!

Well, we had a busy and a happy New Year here, and I spent most of Saturday and Sunday at my Sister's, visiting with my step-niece. She's gone home now, and so things have quieted down once more.

I wish all of you a (late) Happy New Year. I hope it is a good one for all of you.

Last day in holiday mode (office closed, no alarm clock, no lunch to pack, sitting in cozy clothing sipping tea and watching DVDs) ... trying to enjoy it, but can't help thinking how much I'm going to miss it in the coming weeks! Well, every one of those weeks is closer to the next Christmas season. It's just a matter of keeping busy and happy so the time will fly. For that, thank heaven, there's MMC.

Afternoon everyone
hope your all enjoying your day
Started to take some of my outdoor decor down.had to put then up a while to dry then. and guess what it started to rain..i hate this country
But managed to get a few down and then i took to the sunroom and took down everything except for the tree and the garland.
Hell i felt like crap. but i suppose you have to let something go for it to come back. but i was able to get up a few on my christmas presents a stunning( even if i say so myself lol) bradford exchange lamp and a large vase with wolfs on then. so that make me smile
So far this year i dont feel that bad about the christmas blues dont no why. think coming on here is a help. and the sooner it goes the sooner the season can come back

Anyway near dinner time so will go and see what am gonna ruffle up.
You all take care and will talk to you soon

The tree is down, and most of the decorations are put away. As always we leave a couple of things out all year. Glad I can help sweety. :)

I love NOT having to wake up to an alarm clock and it's been many years since I have had to do that on a regular basis. I seem to always wake up on my own for work. On few occasions I have to set it but not often.

Enjoy the DVD's!
My dad just broke my favorite ornament on our tree :( :-(
Do you think there is anyway to fix it? Wayne thought we had his favorite ornament broke for good and he was about to throw it away but it got fixed. It took a couple of days of carefully getting it back together but we did it. It's one that's over 50 years old too!

I am glad MMC helps you with the blues. It sure works for me!

I was just about to come on here and post that we got it down. You beat me too it! I do appreciate your help, as always!

Good Monday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

We steamed oysters at Bernie's last night, and they were great! I haven't had oysters in the shell all season. Now I think I'm ready for another pot full of oyster stew. Have I mentioned that I love oyster season?

We're going out to lunch right now. It's my last day of holiday, and the kids' last day out of school. Nancy took off work today, even though she's an accountant, and it's tax season (I HATE that phrase!).

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good afternoon, MMC friends! Just sitting here with my DH and sister watching the PSU game. It isn't going to well.

How is everyone else's day?

Hope you're all having a great day!

Nope, I don't think it can be fixed. The ornament is made out of a very strange material since it is extremely glittery. When my dad yanked the snowman ornament off of the tree, its hat broke off completely and now there is a hole right in the middle of the ornament. It shattered into the smallest pieces you can imagine, literally specks!

I'm so upset! My dad rips ornaments off of the tree by their hooks. I know that you can't be ripping stuff off, let alone by the hooks - they are NEVER sturdy. It's such a shame because my grandma bought that ornament for us the last Christmas that she was alive. It was one that always reminded me of her and now I'm totally bummed out.

Greetings Christmas friends. It has been such a wonderful holiday season and I'm very grateful for that. Today I'm watching the bowl games and trying to wrap my brain around getting back to work tomorrow. Have a great day everyone.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope it has been a blessed and beautiful day for everyone. Here at my house we cooked, we ate, we cleaned, we ate some more, we sat around in a food-induced stupor for a couple of hours and then ate just a liiittttle bit more:)

That is what the holidays are all about!

:celebrate:
This is not meant to ha ha any posts. Several months past I “felt” (only on my own, NOT through what others said but what I saw others DO) to try to respond by multi-quoting. That just did not/does not fit my style. I felt as if I had to wade through several related posts and then go back to respond to others to which I wanted to respond, and I felt I was wasting people’s time. I also felt that I was skipping a lot of posts that I wanted to respond to individually. Then I realized that I wanted to read and respond as I felt led, not for any other reason. In my opinion it REALLY is a matter of personal preference. My idea was ONLY a SUGGESTION and not a directive or ultimatum to kick up the post count. TO ME that was an added benefit. I feel led to respond AS I GO ALONG and not as I read each day’s posts as a whole. ONLY in my opinion: the posts normally end up being the same word count, plus or minus; I, MYSELF just feel disjointed to read posts and respond to groups of posts rather than individual ones. At least on my side, the posts might be interjected with others to which I wish to respond, but not in the same subject-line. I am really sorry if I have offended anyone. That was not my intent.

Keep smiling! We love you, Seawaters!! :!!

The blues will start setting in for me, rather quickly now. :-(

I don't know if you like to read or not, but I have found that reading Christmas books helps me greatly!

I know in my mind I should be outside taking down my outdoor decorations taking advantage of the warmer than average weather, but I can't buck tradition. We broke a lot of traditions already this year, didn't have cinnamon rolls Christmas morning, didn't wear my Santa hat on Christmas eve or day or NYE which I always do, the stereo never turned itself on, on Christmas morning. I will not let this tradition fall this year. cheesy (I just have a hard time taking everything down, I will start reading my Christmas books now, especially the Time-Life one MerryCarey directed me to last January.)
