Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good afternoon, everyone! Hope this finds you all well! I'm just trying to keep warm. It's been snowing off and on this am and DH and EA have been having fun in the snow. I on the hand have caught a cold and felt worse this morning, so I am trying to just feel and am spending sometime with DS and getting caught up on here.

It's lunch time here in Pa, so we're making a pizza and DH just got some homemade chicken noodle soup on the stove a little while ago for dinner.

Nothing new to really report. I hope you're all having a wonderful day! To all of you who headed back to work today, hope it's going well!

I've been off since Dec 23rd too! I'm hating life a little bit today because of being back at work but trying to stay positive. I couldn't go to sleep for anything last night. If I wasn't half-awake I was dreaming about work. Uuugh.

On the other hand...we did get some flurries, which I loved, so that was awesome. It doesn't snow here much and flurries are perfect because the roads don't get bad. We don't know how to drive in the snow around here.

I need to get into proactive/productive mode but I'm just not sure if today is the day...maybe tomorrow? hah hah.

"The Time-Life Book of Christmas"---they've published a few editions, but this one that was published in 1987 is my favorite. It's out of print, but you may be able to find it through eBay or BookFinder.com. It's one of the best Christmas browses I have---photos, articles, recipes, stories, crafts, it's all there.

Just wanted you to know I just ordered the Time-Life book and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

We don't know how to drive in the snow around here.

Over the winter, we get snow here all the time and people should know how to drive, but the first snowfall or two, people act like they don't know how to drive either. It's terrible. There are sooo many accidents!

Speaking of, The Time Life Book of Christmas, I just went online with my local library and put in a request for it since it's at another location in my city. It will probably take a couple of days to arrive at the library near me. I'm looking forward to getting it!

I had a 4x4 Cherokee up until the hail storm this summer so I was completely fine when it snowed. Now...I'm kind of dreading any icy conditions!

Still very chilly out. Somebody brought me takeout for lunch - finally had the Whopper I have been wanting for a few days now. Work has picked up, so the music is off so I can concentrate when I head back to it in a few minutes.

If you get the 1987 edition, I bet you'll all LOVE it. It's one of my favorite just-leaf-through-it-at-random Christmas books. When you get it, let me know what you think!

One of the two vehicles we have is a Jeep, so I do have 4x4, which is really nice. The only thing that does stink is that I drive at night all the time and it is always so icy out when I have to drive. Even those vehicles won't help with the ice! :-(

Going to my boyfriend's soon. Hopefully by the time I come back to check in tonight, he and I will mot be fighting and still be a couple. He is quite miffed that I chose to spend time with my friends over the break and not give him every single minute of my free time. He got to see me at least 3 times though. Led to a nasty fight that started yesterday and carried over to today. He says that I dont love him. He gets mad if I want to see my friends/ doesnt understand why I dont text him when I'm with friends. I'm not sure where the right spot is to post this...I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this?

Its a kinda hard one !! and only you and him can sort it out. but from his point if you were spenting all your spare time with your mates then yes he has a point. and if you were not texting him ask yourself why.. if you love someone which you know the answer to that one i wood think you wood like to spent special times with him.
On the other hand if you devide your time between the 2 then that s different. its hard to spent time with both when there is only a short time to do it. but if you feel you tryed to devide it between your mates and him. then what is he going on about? is he the type of person that expects you to spent every free moment with him? if so then that can become a problem as there is always gonna be other times. like birthdays,easter. times when your mates will want to see you to.. is there no way you and your mates and him can do things together?
Not knowing the full sitution. its hard to give stright answer. But its better to try and sort it out , but i have seen in all relatioships each one needs to give and take. it cant be one taking and the other giving.
Sorry if i have said to much.
