Just getting in from work.....hope everyone had a great day. My day was great because it was the last day without our kids in the building. We've got some really good news to share with them....so I'm kinda stoked.
Looking forward to the Pines tomorrow....just out of curiosity....does Christmas decorations ever come down at the Pines?
Well I never got the cookies made but I did make a peanut butter cheesecake and a batch of egg custard.
I would say you still had a pretty productive day! The PB cheesecake sound delicious! Save some for Friday!
Most people think it's to rich but I love peanut butter so I think's it's just perfect.
Um, like I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE summer!!! I like winter, I love Spring and Fall, but ahhhh summer....Oh but those LAZY, CRAZY DAYS of Summer!!! Those days of soda and pretzels and beer!!! And MMC Countdown thread!!!!
Fried PB, nanner & quaalude sandwich! >Elvis smiles!<I love PB too. DH thinks most PB things are too rich, but I love almost anything with PB!
Thank you glad to be here. As a MMC newb it felt sort of like being on the play ground trying to find the right time to jump in the double dutch jump rope. Figured no time is better than the present
the new is not the best year stomach wise...lol....for whatever reason my stomach is going crazy....and no...we are not expecting...I must have caught a stomach flu...and it doesnt really develop.
anyhow...over here, most people are taking their decorations down, i will do so, too this week. pack it in the boxes and store it carefully....so christmas can bloom beautiful come november this year.
kandice is playing a little bit and going to bed in a few.
hey guys, happy new year!
i hope you all had a wonderful christmas 2011? i had the best one yet, it was fantastic, but i know christmas 2012 will be perfect and i cannot wait for it.
i've learned a few things and i will do a few things differently in the build up, i will start watching movies earlier as i didn't have time to watch half the christmas movies i wanted too.
luckily, we still have some christmas movies on tv! most people took their decorations down either yesterday or today, so christmas has kind of been stretched out so the blues haven't hit too hard.
i look forward to counting down to christmas 2012 with you all.oint:
The one I requested is the 1987 edition. Looking forward to it. If I get hooked then I will buy a copy. That's why I love the library to borrow and see what I think before I make a purchase. It keeps the clutter down in my house.
Wait...Christmas is NOT clutter!
Hi Folks!
Deocations inside are down, except for the two trees, outside will be lit till the 6th then off, and hopefully down by Sunday...sad times...Always a downer to see early January wash the Christmas spirit away...
I was not nearly as active here last year as I have been in the past...some of that due to life, and some of it due to the sheer volume of posts that I could not possibly catch up on...Count me in with the less is more camp!
So nice to see that we will dip below 300 days in about two weeks!
Thanks Crown!!!
A blessed New Year to all!!! May 2012 be leaps and bounds better than 2011!!!

In keeping with the "Holiday Inn" feel of the Shispering Pines (meaning the 1942 movie, Carl's favorite) the 'Pines is appropriately decorated for each holiday......Looking forward to the Pines tomorrow....just out of curiosity....does Christmas decorations ever come down at the Pines?
I make homemade peanut butter all the time. I will bring some to you! Would you like crunchy or creamy?Well I never got the cookies made but I did make a peanut butter cheesecake and a batch of egg custard.
This should be interesting! I can't wait to find out what it is. =)In keeping with the "Holiday Inn" feel of the Shispering Pines (meaning the 1942 movie, Carl's favorite) the 'Pines is appropriately decorated for each holiday.
However, each year one Christmas decoration is left up and a door prize is awared to the first visitor who spots it.
(And that prize will be awarded at the open house tomorrow!)
First day back to work was so-so. Took me awhile to get fully cranked up. PCB's are in full effect. It happens every year. Hoping for a better tomorrow.
