Thank you glad to be here. As a MMC newb it felt sort of like being on the play ground trying to find the right time to jump in the double dutch jump rope. Figured no time is better than the present:-)

Welcome to the countdown! Don't be shy! We love new Christmas family!!!! If you have any questions feel free to ask and we can help! Hope you had a merry Christmas!

Looking forward to the Pines tomorrow....just out of curiosity....does Christmas decorations ever come down at the Pines?

I like to think that they stay up all year round. *dreams.....*whoa...where was I? hah

That's right! I'm not a countdown regular either and stay behind in keeping up. But boy when I grab hold of the handrail as it comes 'round for my turn, I hang on for dear life on one wild ride!
Well its RadioJohD! Hello!

I'm going to need a sub on Friday and maybe longer is a procedure has to be done!!! Could you handle a trip to California???

I wish I could take a trip out to California to sub! I'm sure it would be well worth it! Good luck with Friday! I will say a special prayer for you!

Joining in WHEN and WHERE you can is ALL that matters. Do what is comfortable for you--and ONLY YOU can judge!!!

Look at this! The Christmas countdown 2012 is already on pg. 45! How am I ever going to catch up with all this! Ha ha!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Holiday season & Cheer's to a WONDERFUL 2012!!!

I truly try to make my classroom fun and non-judgmental. I received two new students from school districts that were not as far along as we are. You would laugh if honestly you could have seen their faces by the end of the day when they realized that, "We start where you are!!!" The principal came to tell me that one of the new kiddos was SO SHY. I dropped my jaw. I said, "Really?" He slowly and then quickly joined in that it made me so happy. Thanks for the prayers!!!

Your very welcome! What grade do you teach?

Friday, I will be in a special needs pre school class. I love those kids. My mom is the aide in the morning class, so it was nice the first time I was there, she was able to show me the ropes for circle time small groups. I am now the requested sub for the preschool disabled in that school :!!

So many books I order are at both places. IF I am not mistaken, I have to download to "My Documents" in my Nook and then I can have access. Sorry to say, I have to reteach myself each time.

I am AMAZED about the no-kill shelter. How wonderful!!! It would break my heart to think of anyone who even have felt "lead" to have to do that (kill a cat).

...I never really "learned" Calibre very well. Amazon has a thing where you can e-mail a file to your Kindle and it will convert it. It works fairly well if the formatting isn't too complex (e.g., lots of indentations, small caps). I should update my Calibre and take another shot at it.

Do you know if there's a cat rescue in your area? In Massachusetts and New Hampshire we have Kitty Angels, which is a no-kill cat shelter. If there's something like that where you live, they would be glad to pick up the kitty and find it a home.

I teach regular ed third grade (retiring this year). My SIL taught special needs for 34 years. My granddaughter is extreme special needs. I totally admire SN teachers!!!

Where do you think I got the idea of NOT making anyone do the dishes!!!

Made had me do the dishes! It took through the whole 100 Christmas countdown songs to get them done. I was there all day and he didn't even provide Palmolive for me. My hands were destroyed!

My heart is breaking for you, especially about the cat. We could send him/her to CM3. She would accept the cat in a New York minute!!!

Good evening, everyone!! After a hectic day, I finally have some time to relax. I DVRed Last Man Standing (Tim Allen's new show) so I am going to sit and watch that followed by Rachael Ray's top 10 recipes from 2011. I think I am going to get to bed a bit earlier than usual, today has been a long one!

I don't feel so hot, thanks to the heartburn from Bertolli Lasagna that I made myself for dinner. It tasted good at the time, but yikes - the sauce is killer afterwards.

There has been this cat on my porch since yesterday. Today we called the humane society for my county and they told us that they don't cover our area. The humane society is only ten minutes or so from my house, I find it ridiculous. The woman on the phone gave me a number for the police department. I don't think that'll be much help - I don't need animal control coming and killing the poor thing! It is literally freezing out, though, so I set out a box, wrapped a couple of blankets in it and around it, and left the cat some food and water. I don't know what else I can do. Hopefully he/she is at least full, warmer, and not thirsty! I wish I was a cat person but I have asthma so I'm not much help. It's a shame people desert their animals.

Good evening, friends~

I am back home, and the surgery went well. The doctor thinks everything will be ok, and is pretty sure there is no melanoma present. They are biopsying what they removed today, which was a lot, and I should get the results in @ a week or so. I am so relieved!! I don't know why she thought otherwise before, but I am not going to even worry about that, just so happy right now. Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, and concern!!

The anesthesia has just about worn off, and I'm pretty darn sore! I'm going to eat dinner, take some pain meds, and lay down.

I hope all of you are well~Will catch up here soon. Take care.

Stacey

Oh Snowflake !!! I am so happy to read this ! I will still keep praying. I have been SO worried about you xo

My heart is breaking for you, especially about the cat. We could send him/her to CM3. She would accept the cat in a New York minute!!!

Oh that poor little furkid......It breaks my heart when a furchild doesn't have a home....You are right I WOULD take that baby ......Ahhh..I hope it will be okay !

I am EXHAUSTED. Today was my first day back with kiddos since October 20, and I am TIRED beyond belief!! But it is a GOOD kind of tired!!! I also did an hour of what is called "After-School Intervention," then came home to do some chores, then went to an Elks Lodge meeting, then home to check MMC.

I just have to tell you about my day post face-lift. I received SO MANY compliments on my looking 20 years younger. Can you imagine the lift to my self esteem??? A much younger teacher kept telling me how beautiful I was and how great my make-up was. I told her I wasn't wearing any!! The look on her face was PRICELESS!!!

Good evening,Christmas family

I was not here all day today. When I got up today I had a bunch of stuff to do before work and also I got hooked on a game I downloaded to my new Ipod - Animals versus zombies !! It isn't gory or anything. The zombies look really goofy and it is really fun.

((Snowflake)) So so happy !! I will still keep praying xo

((Seawaters)) Still praying for you too xo

The Christmas blues are worse for me this year than any year I can remember in the past. I am keeping my tree up for a LONG time yet. The outside decorations are alreay down but not my tree. In fact, I may just keep my tree with me this year. Not to be too much of a downer, but it would just be nice to have something to look forward to in the year in addition to Christmas.....

I took a picture of myself with my Ipod and when I looked at it, that certainly did not do anything to boost my spirits. My goodness, if that is what I really look like, thenI am going to start renting myself out to haunt houses at Halloween.....I am serious ! It was awful.

Sugar - I tried to read through all the posts but wound up kind of just skimming. Are you feeling sick ?? I thought that was what I read. If you are I hope you feel better soon !!

Kerstig - I hope you feel better !

Iliam - Welcome to the countdown !! And welcome to the Christmas family !! ((Hugs)) xo

I really hope everyone is doing okay. I have Music Choice on and pretty soon that will be back to not so great music. For now though and until the 6th it is still Christmas music.

Maureen - Stay safe my dear friend xo

((((Hugs)))) everyone xo

And (((Hugs))) to all the furkids, Harlowe, Ella, Snickers, Snowball, Gomez and his siblings, and especially to that poor kitty who has no home.....xo

I just have to tell about today at school. One of our vocabulary words was "slogan." We talked about what that was, and I gave many examples. At the end of our conversation, we had a fun guessing game. I would say a slogan and have the kiddos try to guess the company, movie, etc. that was related to that slogan. For example, I said,"Just Do It, We Do It All For You, A Few Good Men," and a few others. Finally, I said, "Who Ya Gonna Call???" Several kids answered, "Ghost Busters!!!"

Now I say, "If an animal is in trouble, "Who Ya Gonna Call???"--CM3!!! I had to go into a long explanation about MMC and CM3!!! Louann, YOU are FAMOUS!!!

Oh Snowflake !!! I am so happy to read this ! I will still keep praying. I have been SO worried about you xo
