(I'm not sure, but I think it's a Christmas movie DVD!)

Just 2 weeks from today Folks, we will already be at Milestone #1 of the new count, the 300-day Season Window.

Just got home from work and am going to head to bed, but thought I would stop by real quick and say hello.

Hope you're all having a wonderful day. It is soooo cold here! It is 12° right now! Brrrr. I am not even sure what the high is supposed to be today.

jennifer91: what a lovely thing you did for the "stray" cat on your porch! I, too, wish that people wouldn't desert their animals. Cats roam, though, and he/she could just be too cold and too far to get back home. He/she saw your house and thought it looked welcoming and would be a safe place to stay to rest up and get warm. Cats are very smart!

Good morning, MMC!

The furnace was off all night and the heater was on - only dropped down to 56 which is a very comfortable sleeping temperature! I do believe it was the right thing to switch heating systems. Temperatures are going to rise in the next few days which is nice as I have to make a run to the BC for dog food. It is always so much cooler by the lake so any warm up will be welcome.
Working today and tackling project two for decluttering the house - so far, so good!

Wednesday ... up at 5 a.m., out in the 7-degree cold for a medical test a couple towns over. It went quickly, so I drove back home for a short breather before going in to work. And to check in on you folks, 'cause when I get to work I'll have to dig right in.

I took a picture of myself with my Ipod and when I looked at it, that certainly did not do anything to boost my spirits. My goodness, if that is what I really look like, then I am going to start renting myself out to haunt houses at Halloween.....I am serious ! It was awful.

But you're so rich in beauty of the heart, you don't need to worry about your exterior. The camera doesn't capture that---in person, we would see that inner beauty shining from your eyes. Count on that.

Good evening, friends~

I am back home, and the surgery went well. The doctor thinks everything will be ok, and is pretty sure there is no melanoma present. They are biopsying what they removed today, which was a lot, and I should get the results in @ a week or so. I am so relieved!! I don't know why she thought otherwise before, but I am not going to even worry about that, just so happy right now. Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, and concern!!

The anesthesia has just about worn off, and I'm pretty darn sore! I'm going to eat dinner, take some pain meds, and lay down.

I bought a Nook for my aide on ebay. Have you tried that for a tablet?

I was in Barnes & Noble one day last week, and took a long look at one. It looks like a nice tablet, but still loaded with all that proprietary software. It at least allows more personal storage than the Kindle Fire.

I can at least say that Made was gracious enough to make sure I had access to the dishwasher the next time I came over. What a swell guy!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It is going to be warmer here today with a high of 37 this afternoon. I think I'm going to follow Christmasstar's lead and start decluttering my apartment. I'm going to start by cleaning out the drawers in the kitchen today and then maybe I'll start on a couple of the cabinets. That should keep me busy this morning and then I'm going to head to the Pines this afternoon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had family-night supper at my inlaws last night, it was packed! Fried quail, fried chicken, baked ham, smoked turkey, mac & cheese, turnips, grits, biscuits, sweet tea...I'm still stuffed!

It's a little hectic here at work, so I'll check in again after a while.

I found it!!!

Some of you may remember before Christmas I was searching everywhere for a Christmas table runner I knew I had bought earlier in the year. Well, it finally turned up. It was in a box in the spare room closet. Along with 4 sets of brand new lights and gift bags.

So this coming Christmas, my tree will now have about 800 lights on it. I bought 4 strings of lights at an after Christmas sale this year. It is going to look great!!!
(I did say I wanted more lights on the tree)
