Christmas family, may I ask a question ?? I put a wallpaper of Jesus on my Ipod. Do you think this is disrespectful ? I dont want to be disrespectful to Him, I just wanted His image with me all the time. I hope it is okay xo

i dont think it is. as long as it is done with respect. in a different sort of way its a nice thing. what is the difference between someone wearing a cross and chain round there neck. or someone that carrys a mass book,medal or a prayer to a saint in there bag or purse. you carry it on your ipod so where is the harm in it.

Our christmas 24 movie channel is now over and they are back to movies 24. being honest the 1st 2 weeks were good but after that it was repeated again and again
Nearly everyone i know is running round with a long face on then. everyone one always says that jan is a depressing month.

no, i'm actually from Lancaster.if you look @ a map of S.C. in the top center you'll see a town that resembles a pan w/ handle....that's us! Spartanburg is about 1 1/2-2 hours s.w. of us. have been there often, very nice town.

cm3-you answered your own question w/out realizing it....when something is done w/ no ill intent, how can it be wrong? you placed it there to have His image close to you. put it wherever you want/need it. it's for you...no one else!

hey ya'll. wanted to drop in to say GOOD MORNING!
off to work in a bit. taking down the Christmas & replacing it w/.....dare i say it.....oh no, can it be......say it ain't so.......Valentine's day! huge scream of horror, aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
in my line of work, this horrible day is called Valloween! it is a total nightmare in the floral industry. wasn't bad @ all before i went to work in it but now.....???!!!
the only thing good about it is we can leave all our red drapery out & i do mean the only good thing. please don't think i'm mean or anything, it's like any job, there's always 1 thing every job has that we dread!!

How is everyone doing?

I am doing pretty good, stayed home yesterday because I was uncomfortable & didn't sleep well Tuesday night. I caught up on rest, and cleaned up my wound...that hurt a bit!

Today, it's back to the grind. It'll be a long day, lots to catch up on..

My parents are all settled in Arizona, they're snowbirds there for a couple of months. It's great, we spend a couple of long weekends there with them, and they come back to see us as well before heading back to Wisconsin in the spring. I hope we can do that one day!

It has been so beautiful here, lately. It reached almost 70 degrees yesterday! I didn't like it over Christmas at all, but now that the season is over, I'm all for it. The PCB are still hanging around, maybe the weather will help.

I started to watch The Christmas Pageant, with Melissa Gilbert, last night. I only made it through about 10 minutes of it before the doorbell rang, and my neighbor stopped over. Has anyone seen it? Any good?

The sun is out and it is going to be a warm 38 degrees today - I just might be able to get a walk in during lunch

Working and organizing again today. Tomorrow I go out searching for store stock and buying dog food. I also hope to find a pair of warmer slippers - so far all the stores have been out of my size. I really need a new pair because Palmer has practically destroyed my current ones. I am just really thankful she is active and happy - slippers can be replaced, after all

Did everyone enjoy their visit to the Shispering Pines yesterday?
In case you didn't hear, our own Lauriebear won the door prize for spotting the one Christmas decoration Carl did not take down - a sprig of mistletoe hung over the dining room entry doorway.
For that, Laurie won the Christmas movie DVD.
(It was wrapped so I don't know which movie it was. Laurie?)

Cold here again this morning but a good 10 degres warmer than yesterday, when we were in the mid 20's.
And it should warm up nicely this afternoon and on through at least Saturday.

OMG!!! OMG!!! How did he know, that Carl... Maybe I should chance it and give him a kiss under the Misletoe!!!

It is my very own DVD of A Christmas Carol (from 1951, starting Alastair Sim)!!! I've been wanting this for years and just never got around to getting it!!! Oh wait... OH NO!!! Their is a 2nd one in the case, it is hand wrtten on it says OUT TAKES FROM THE SHISPERING PINES 2011!!! Dare we watch it next Wednesday!!!

I agree completely i count the times scooby and sasha eat stuff on me. i left purse once when scooby was a pup and he ripped the purse and the money inside it which was about £100. i should have been so cross but i dont no why i was,nt. it was ok as i was able to kinda get some of the notes together again and i took then to the bank and explained what happen. never will forget the look on there faces. think they thought i had lost my marbles... one of then said to me. o do you not keep your dog out at night..as if ??

Meceka, I am the same way about my furkids. When they mess something up I am just happy they are active and "things" can be replaced. I just can't get mad at them when "stuff" gets destroyed. I really haven't had that much messed up or broke but if it gets broke, oh well! =)

My mom was telling me how her cat keeps getting on the dresser knocking her lip balm off. I tease her and say, "the dresser belongs to the cat and that lip balm is in his way". =)

I am glad Palmer is doing well!

We are still having "spring like" weather. I have been able to take my granddaughter outside to play for the past couple of days. It will be sunny and in the 60's today and 70 tomorrow. Then drop into the 50's for the rest of the week.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I spend the evening fiddling around with a speed detection radar trailer that our group, "The Friends of Bellville", bought for the city. It's one of those trailers that displays how fast you are going and what the speed limit is. It's funny how many calls I get from folks in town wondering when I'm going to put it out again. Of course, I get calls when the water pressure is low, or when the neighbor's dog turns over a trash can...LOL! Such is the life of a public servant.
